    Best windscreen design for this bike hands down....

    it makes a significant difference Darren. I think the bikes front design(with original fly screen) does a good job at chopping up the air, however the V-stream design does a great job at freeway speeds (70-75) and a especially over 100(on closed circuit course and professional, lol) at taking the strain off your neck and chest. Im 5'11'' by the way so you taller guys and gals not sure but best $119 us dollars ive spent!!

      Just got my s1000r ! I love the windscreen. There are two models from Z-technik. Is this the standard or the taller touring screen?
      Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the review. Have a Kawasaki Concours 14 which is great. Had my bike for ten years and looking to change it up. Like the windscreen on your bike. How has the BMW treated you so far?

    Bike looks great with the windscreen. One question though: doesn't that windscreen block the ram air openings in the front that feed the motor's airbox? thx

      +Windy Run Yeah I was wondering the same thing, but doesn't look like we're going to get an answer.

      s1000r forum has a couple of owners saying its not a problem. Nothing official though

    Hi Ric, great video. I have seen Wunderlich screens which has a provision for air intake for engine cooling where this one seems to be covering the whole area. Also stock screen and genuine one leaves a gap at the bottom. Have you noticed any engine temp increase after fitting the screen?

    • @RicViperskylogs
      @RicViperskylogs  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sipin Paul thanks! I have not noticed any temp changes.. also I'm back to stock at moment looking for a new liok

    how well does the windscreen work compared to the factory original?

  • @armandoloureiro7158

    It seems this screen covers the ram air ducts. Or am I wrong.

    Nice bike, the best color too. I was wondering if it has a steering damper? Thanks

    • @RicViperskylogs
      @RicViperskylogs  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! And yes it does have a steering dampener.
      And may I add that it works well I have had the front end light, hit uneven pavement and does a very good job lol haven't had a head shaker yet!

      +hedonist222 I found a case at Sears that happen to fit my vape perfectly and the case had a metal belt clip that I just slid over the clutch cable

    Hi Ric, great start on your vids. I have been trying to make up my mind on my new bike. Until now it was between the S1000R (1 bike) or a Triumph Street Triple R and a HD Iron 883 in matte black (2 bikes). By luck I just happened to see all three parked beside each other locally when out with mates, and now I'm strongly leaning toward the S1KR. Could you tell me more about the everyday rideability of your bike, commuting, traffic, lane filtering, heat from the engine, mounting your cellphone etc? There are a lot of good reviews out there (my fav: th-cam.com/video/DLROFFAIlYg/w-d-xo.html) but not a lot on actual ownership. I currently ride a CBR500R, my first bike. I have started creating a couple of TH-cam vids myself (th-cam.com/channels/rXHv6e7yS2GN96spmxLxHw.htmlfeed) , not as good as yours! Keep the vids coming mate. Regards from Brisbane AU.

      Charlie Stuart I am a fan myself of the Triumphs (tripple motors are a gym. The s1kr is easily a commuter due to its extremely comfortable seat, seating position, light weight, and other extras such as cruise control, heated grips and loads of safety aids! Avg fuel economy is close to 40mph and for a rocket ship this is not bad. I live in florida and it gets in the mid 90s and heat from motor is only noticeable if you are at idle at a standstill for long periods of time. I mounted cell phone as shown in display with ram mount and it works great. thanks again and i cant fault one item on this bike i have been very pleased.
