This movie is such a perfect conclusion. The themes of growing up, that that emotional powerhouse incinerator scene, and it's impossible to not shed a tear at the final scene. Fun Fact: At first, the writers couldn't figure out how the toys would escape the incinerator, so they visited a real landfill where the learned about the magnetic strip and the giant claw. As soin as they saw that, they knew it would be the perfect solution and a great callback.

Did Andy never find out that Woody is a rare sought after vintage toy? Because if he knew, I imagine he would’ve wanted to keep him more around in his later years. Although, it’s nice to see that he cherishes him so much more than monetary value.

There is a theory that Woody originally belong to Andy's dad or mom, because Andy have Jessie's hat (which could belong to his mom) in TS 1, and the woody tv show in TS2 were caceled even before Andy was born. So andy might think woody kinda there from the start and never knew his real value

There's no way Andy didn't realize something was up with the toys in the end. The way they came out of nowhere and how he looked at them suggested he suspected something. Especially now that he's older and could piece together all the inconsistencies over the years. I think him talking about them in that end scene wasn't just for her or himself. He wanted them to hear what he had to say before he left knowing most likely he would never know the truth but is ok with that.

He speaks with a THICK THICK Andalusian accent (as he behaves much like the Andalusian stereotype and the music changes to flamenco on some scenes with him). In Latin America they dubbed him with a different accent, but also from Spain, I think Madrid.
Edit: in fact, Buzz's Andalusian version is dubbed by a famous flamenco singer

7:36 I never noticed this but I love how Woody reacts to Rex's question here. Rex asks if when Andy has kids, if they would play with us. Woody doesn’t reassure him that they will, but he also doesn’t say its out of the picture. He just says, "we'll always be there for him." This really helps set the mood that Woody doesn't know what will happen to them, but always to have hope. This really helps set up the theme of moving on, because this is the first flag Woody got that Andy has truly grown out of them

This is by far my favorite of the Toy Story movies. Great story, great action scenes, great dialogue, great visuals and a great cast new and old! Michael Keaton voicing Ken is just the cherry on top for me. I actually kinda like your take on how the first 3 movies are the Andy arc and the next few movies could be the Bonnie arc and who knows what the future may hold. I know a lot of people see the continuous sequels as cash grabs and I get that but I also agree that with movies about toys, you could expand as much as you want with their stories whether it's follow up stories, prequels, spin offs, etc.
Personally though I think a way to do that, that I would personally prefer is turning it into a TV series. People might not like that idea but I think it could work that they could do a Toy Story series that focuses on a lot of the toys from Bonnie's house and Sunnyside where each episode focuses on a specific toy like one could be about Buzz, another Jessie, another Rex, another Hamm, another Slinky, another the Potato Heads, another Dolly, another Trixie and so on and so on and there could be episodes focusing on Woody and Bo's adventures.
I just feel like if we're going to be continuing the storylines, instead of making continuous movies, just turn the franchise in a series.

also, i think the writers for this film probably looked at how boys and girls actually play with their toys. i think it was the lego company that did a comprehensive study on the differences in children's play. andy, and boys in general, tend to play with their toys in a more impersonal way where the toys are characters that perform actions and the child acts like a director of sorts, but isn't an active character themselves. bonnie meanwhile, and girls more generally, tend to center themselves in their play, which is why bonnie is part of the group when she plays instead of having the toys be at a café and such by themselves. it was brought up in matpat's last film theory and i notice now as i watch this film again that bonnie and andy follow the results of that lego study

7:00 Bo is gone because having a porcelain doll go to that day care wasn't realistic. She would be taken by the adults because you can't give porcelain to little kids. It would've wasted screen time. And at the end in the garbage heap she would've been shattered. As her, as a character, as a part of a lamp, CANNOT move that way!
Also, they cover what happened to her in a Toy Story short, so they ended her arc as well.
THEN, the 4th movie! 🤦‍♀️ I swear. They had to mess with success. They closed every arc beautifully. And they opened up the wound and dug around until they found the heart and threw that out.

I can remember all the toys that I had played with that at the time barely did because moving on to video games, movies and tv, and social events outside of the house. What Boom said at the beginning of the intro scene was good and also to add, I think the toys could see whatever Andy was imagining for them to happen as well. 2010 had some many good animated films (this, Tangled, How to Train Your Dragon, Megamind).

Toy Story 3 was so emotional, even as a kid, knowing that someday, I’m going to be like Andy and move on from playing with toys all the time because you grow up. And the movie really feels like a bookend to the series. Most people that watched the original movie were Andy’s age, so by 2010, this must’ve really hit home. Over the years I used to dislike the movie for being very dark compared to the other two movies, but now I learned to appreciate it as the mature one. This is the toys’ biggest journal, and one where they’re all gonna be without Andy. What a great sendoff to the series. Toy Story 4 can die alone for all I care.
