My personal rules for casual style: no ripped or distressed clothing items, no logos (I don’t treat my body as an advertisement billboard), no sagging pants, olive and blue chinos are a safe default, woody aromatic and citrus aromatic colognes give a well put together vibe, and collared shirts are your friend.
I learned on THIS CHANNEL, years go, that casual clothes, and even gym gear, should be tailored and on point. What a difference it makes! One thing I would say about dressing casually is that grooming is critical. Make sure your hair, teeth, skin and everything are taken care of and look nice. It is an easy way to elevate yourself above the other guys that just threw on a t-shirt and headed out.

Speaking of the unstructured men’s blazer, I have three ( blue, grey, and khaki). Recently, just purchased a pair of Allen & Edmonds sneakers from eBay and Ralph Lauren shirt from a consignment store. I am going to have the shirt tailored and the sneakers dyed to its natural color

This is more relevant to me and I have enough problems just getting the fit right. I think I've started to make some progress just recently with fit of jeans and chinos that I'm happy with, the stretch thing with jeans really threw me. I'm getting on a bit but i like to be comfortable in what I'm wearing and look age apropriate.
I like to rock waistcoats. Another versatile component of a man's wardrobe. Can dress it down by wearing a classic T-shirt and jeans or a tie and pocket square at work. One certainly to consider. Can you add that to a future Look Book?

As I reach my 30s what I have realized that whenever I dress casual clothing all I need to remember is to keep it clean and simple. I now choose plain colors for my clothes and as much as possible I choose clothes that are comfortable especially because I'm on the larger size.

In my personal style rules there are not things i have to think about they just are and I inately do them without thinking. I iron my cloth, thus no crumpled clothing. No ripped clothing. I try not to wear logo clothing, but i can't help if its on the outer coat jacket. Clean cloth. Just simple rules. I do my best to rotate the things i wear as well do proper clothing maintenance and take care of my cloth. How you maintain your clothing has a huge impact on how you wear the things you choose to wear.
It's true as it's much harder getting casual clothing right compared to formal wear. Suit, tie, trousers and shoes is predictable, yet casual wear is unpredictable and can easily go left from just a single clothing item to wrong colour coordination.🤔
