The replayability of the trilogy just to try out different combinations of squadmates is incredible. I have played through the trilogy at least 8 times and still haven't seen all the variations. That is another reason I love videos like this. Great job as always my friend, your content is top notch.
For my Sentinel insanity playthrough, my favourite pick was Garrus+Liara. Garrus provides great firepower with the N7 Typhoon and has great banter, while Liara provides singularity for biotic combos. With them together, enemies barely had a chance to even fire a single shot. Occasionally I would also take out Tali, Javik, EDI and Kaiden, but I pretty much never took out James as he's just a walking exposition for new players.
I'm doing a run atm with Javik coming along for the big main missions plus some side missions.He has some unique lines but he just complains majority of the time. Or telling you what you should do/did. In the field or in his room. I like him but damn dude.
May I ask you a question : I have never tried insanity (coz I have seen people complaining) that it is so hard that it takes the fun out of the game? I have been playing hardcore only. Is the difficulty bump on insanity enjoyable or frustrating?

If garrus does all the fighting and killing I just take potshots from the cover, then whats the point of playing? I enjoyed the bump from normal to hardcore but not sure about insanity. Thats what I was asking gameplaywise. (I always play infiltrator)
I literally just finished this mission a few minutes ago before calling in my break. I brought Garrus and Javik with me personally. Watching Garrus and Wrex be bros was a true treat, and Javik added his own share of iconic moments.
I perma take javik and edi on all missions as soon as they are available. Edi provides the raw stats and intelligence while javik is a walking history book. So much information

Kaidan has amazing abilities. Overload and Reave! Plus he is a tank lots of health. Same as Miranda in ME2. Overload and Warp. You can't ask for a better combination
I understand people not picking Javik. Any time I go to his quarters, I hear “You shouldn’t have cured the genophage/made peace between geth and quarians/ YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE TO…” He s basically whining all the time. Yes, O understand, he’s a soldier, but CMON.
If you look at his background and how different his cycle was, he doesn't scream. It simply stands for the view that anyone born in war and seen their civilization go under would probably have been. win at any price (sry for the bad english xD )

Javik was one of the least picked? When I played ME3 for the first time and the DLC for him was included, I got him as soon as the game allowed me to. Never played a mission without him since. You’d think people would enjoy having a real Prothean that survived for so long on their team.

No you just come up with an actual strategy, in this case actually doing something to keep the Krogan from conquering the galaxy rather than just hoping they won't. Tolan is a tool but he has a valid point. The krogan are highly aggressive and there is a very good chance than if they see the oportunity to take over the galaxy they will take it. Wrex is an unusually level headed krogan and he has to literally beat sense into others krogan leaders to keep them in line, but there is no guarantee he'll remain in charge and even if he does he's not going to live forever. In ME3 he galaxy desperately needs the help of the krogan and that's the motivation for curing the genophage, but it certainly does have its risks and could very well backfire. There is some naive optimism to the idea that the krogans have learned their lesson and are now "civilized" and will never be a threat again.
Wrex: *Correctly surmises that the Salarians are listening in* Shepard and EDI 5 minutes later: "Hey everyone, Liara T'Soni is the shadow broker! Yeah, that's T'Soni T-S-O-N-I super duper secret though that she's The Shadow Broker! Good job we never talk about it loudly at a literal listening post built by a species known for clandestine operations and eavesdropping!"
Edi, James and Liara have good powers to destroy armored enemies, there is no reason to not pick combo from some of them often. I use Javik mostly because of hilarious remarks, not because of powers. Liara and Edi comments on Surkesh were also great combo 😁 👌 but Javik is still the king :)
I can't remember at what point Javik also sends you an email....it's literally him saying how ridiculous it is to physically type text, when in his cycle text messages were ancient history 😂

Because they had education !? Its their history, as our homosapiens history from when we evolved to modern humans nowdays, thats why Javik said we were living in caves, which we learned about in school. They probably learned about Protheans. And Protheans about Isunanon civilization before them.
Honestly my least picked is Tali since she's missing from so much of the game that by the time she shows up I already have my system of power combos/detonations figured out that I don't feel like reworking it. Also she's really more geared towards synthetics but most of the game enemies are organics 🤷♀️

You should James a shot on more missions. Tuchanka, Rannoch Admiral bomb, Priorith Rannoch, Arrachni, and some of the Cerberus missions stand out to me. He is funny.

Garrus is pretty much core to any ME3 Insanity run.

Garrus+Liara with my insanity Sentinel. Garrus's firepower and Liara's biotic combos meant that the enemies didn't even get to fire a single shot.

javik is one of the best biotic combo setter that also has grenades AND assault riffles. he's actually very damn strong
