Man fought a legendary sinthetic race, responsible for erasing all life on the galaxy, launched a suicide mission straight into uncharted territory, beyond the Omega 4 relay - basically the galactic Bermuda triangle. Broke peace between the Geth and Quarians, managed to take down three reapers, convinced Saren to take himself out of the census and he even managed to do a 108 pull ups. And never forgot to feed his fish! Not to mention that you can also tap Shahira, Liara, Kelly and Tali, without repercusions! Shepard is just built different.

The replayability of the trilogy just to try out different combinations of squadmates is incredible. I have played through the trilogy at least 8 times and still haven't seen all the variations. I personally brought Javik everywhere because i thought it most interesting to hear about comparisons to prothean society than random banter. So Javik and one of the nerds depending on the mission.
For my Sentinel insanity playthrough, my favourite pick was Garrus+Liara. Garrus provides great firepower with the N7 Typhoon and has great banter, while Liara provides singularity for biotic combos. With them together, enemies barely had a chance to even fire a single shot. Occasionally I would also take out Tali, Javik, EDI and Kaiden, but I pretty much never took out James as he's just a walking exposition for new players.
I can understand people not picking Javik or EDI as much, everyone has the right to play in the manner they see fit. However I personally believe you should be tarred and feathered for starting a game with Wrex dead. That is just inexcusable lol
You'd be surprised how many people who played ME2/3 never played ME1, in which case Wrex is dead by default. Of course they lose half the plot and then say the game is overrated.
Can you do a video on What Happens if you Bring Javik to the Attican Traverse: Krogan Team mission; due to him dropping lore about how in his cycle the Protheans used the Rachni as weapons before they turned against them during the shuttle ride and mentions that he recognises Grunt from touching his room. I just find that Javik has the most interesting comments on the Attican Traverse mission but there’s no videos about it. (Plus Garrus too due to his proud comments about Grunt growing up).
I'm doing a run atm with Javik coming along for the big main missions plus some side missions.He has some unique lines but he just complains majority of the time. Or telling you what you should do/did. In the field or in his room. I like him but damn dude.
May I ask you a question : I have never tried insanity (coz I have seen people complaining) that it is so hard that it takes the fun out of the game? I have been playing hardcore only. Is the difficulty bump on insanity enjoyable or frustrating?

If garrus does all the fighting and killing I just take potshots from the cover, then whats the point of playing? I enjoyed the bump from normal to hardcore but not sure about insanity. Thats what I was asking gameplaywise. (I always play infiltrator)
I don't use EDI that much myself, but with her skill set I'm surprised that she's one of the least picked squadmate. She's perfectly capable of stripping shields/barriers, has anti-armor capability, can distract enemy with decoy, can tank with def matrix, can proc ammo effects with smg. That's an all in one right there.
I literally just finished this mission a few minutes ago before calling in my break. I brought Garrus and Javik with me personally. Watching Garrus and Wrex be bros was a true treat, and Javik added his own share of iconic moments.
The major bummer in me 2 and 3 is having Tali available only midway through the game. It'd been nice having her input in missions from the first half of the games
I perma take javik and edi on all missions as soon as they are available. Edi provides the raw stats and intelligence while javik is a walking history book. So much information
EDI comes in pretty handy when you're fighting against Geth and she and Tali make a formidable duo against them. If your Shep is an Adept with Morinth's Dominate ability that threesome is virtually unstoppable in any fight.
Least picked? Damn. EDI has always been a must bring teammate on most of my squads, and Javik definitely made it out on quite a few across my playthroughs
On a slightly unrelated note I love the differences between Wreav and Wrex. Wreav doesn't know or trust Shepard and see's the females as property whereas Wrex Trusts Shepard but doesn't want to get Mordin in trouble and clearly respects the females.
Kaidan has amazing abilities. Overload and Reave! Plus he is a tank lots of health. Same as Miranda in ME2. Overload and Warp. You can't ask for a better combination

I'm doing a Mass Effect Legendary Edition playthrough on my Series X. I'm currently in ME 3 with over 5,000 war assets and I have maybe used Edi three times. I brought Garus and Javik on this mission.

Javik was one of the least picked? When I played ME3 for the first time and the DLC for him was included, I got him as soon as the game allowed me to. Never played a mission without him since. You’d think people would enjoy having a real Prothean that survived for so long on their team.

No you just come up with an actual strategy, in this case actually doing something to keep the Krogan from conquering the galaxy rather than just hoping they won't. Tolan is a tool but he has a valid point. The krogan are highly aggressive and there is a very good chance than if they see the oportunity to take over the galaxy they will take it. Wrex is an unusually level headed krogan and he has to literally beat sense into others krogan leaders to keep them in line, but there is no guarantee he'll remain in charge and even if he does he's not going to live forever. In ME3 he galaxy desperately needs the help of the krogan and that's the motivation for curing the genophage, but it certainly does have its risks and could very well backfire. There is some naive optimism to the idea that the krogans have learned their lesson and are now "civilized" and will never be a threat again.
Javik made me LOL when he referred to the Salarians as "The lizard people" who "Used to eat flies" and "I'm surrounded by primitives." I understand, Javik. Believe me. ;)

It seems that this mission was designed to have both Garrus and Javik as your squadmates, though I do like some of EDIs responses, you also get interaction between both Garrus and Wrex.

I think that early on people stick to the squadmates they already know and take Javik on side missions
Remember Javik is a Day One DLC character. Some people have never played any of the DLC.

well i mostly pick javik and garrus everywhere because 2 typhoons is a massacre and they have best dialogues imo.

I can't remember at what point Javik also sends you an email....it's literally him saying how ridiculous it is to physically type text, when in his cycle text messages were ancient history 😂
