- In this Mass Effect 2 (Legendary Edition) video, i'll be showing you all the dialogue & banter from Grunt & Zaeed if you bring them to Omega. This will include Garrus (Archangel) & Mordins recruitment missions.
Grunt is a genetically engineered krogan super soldier. Bred and educated in a tank, he was intended to exemplify the best traits of the krogan, and help reinvigorate his species. In the meantime, he fights alongside Commander Shepard to satisfy his natural desire for violence.
Zaeed Massani is a feared, respected bounty hunter and mercenary soldier. Cerberus has contracted Zaeed to assist Commander Shepard in the mission to save mankind. In exchange, Zaeed requires help to complete another mission he had accepted beforehand, which is to liberate an Eldfell-Ashland Energy refinery from Blue Suns control.

Every time Grunt affirms his loyalty, respect, and love for Shepard, it brings a tear to my eye.

@@devildavin That's not their homeworld, just a colony. 200-300k batarians there though from what I recall. Still bad, but not quite their homeworld.

Also if you take Grunt to get Jack he has some funny dialogue, he gets very excited on that mission 😆

@@Macrochenia By the end of that mission, Grunt developed a 'thing' for Shortstacks. And yes, for a human she's not short, but much like wookies, everything NOT a Krogan is short to a Krogan.

Thats sonething I do look when picked squad mates for "cientific" kind of assigments, always bring Mordin.

That's interesting. I always recruit Grunt after getting Jack, looks I'm gonna reinstall entire ME trilogy back on my Intel Celeron laptop.
So many squadmates so many potential interactions. Love this trilogy!! Great video!
Grunt also says something similar about getting hungry when he sees the impaled husks on the Reaper IFF mission.
He says that about burned human corpses
Patriarch mission is not connected to datapad find in Recruitment of Garrus. When you give Aria the datapad, she gives you the salvage mission (the one that is just the Mechs blowing stuff up and reward is based on how fast you take them down).

A couple of interactions that I think you would be interested in would be bringing Zaeed along to recruit Thane not sure if there is anybody else but I thought you would like to know.

the dialog from Grunt occurs after you do his maturation ritual which to Garrus's dismay doesn't involve dancers on Omega

I think he died because of Cerberus
Some Krogan talks about him in the casino during the citadel dlc.

sadly he doesn't in the legendary edition cause Tarak's face to flee leaving only the eyeballs behind.

Interesting squad combo, I usually do both Omega missions before recruiting Grunt. I have brought Zaeed along on the Ark Angel mission as I suspected with him being the former leader of the Blue Suns, there would be some kind of dialogue between the various merc groups. I’m going to change my order of recruitments and go get Grunt then try this out :)

Great work mate. I’m playing the trilogy (Xbox 360 version on series X) still having a great time after Legendary edition, just wanted to get more achievements and I own it and all dlc so why not! It still looks ok too not as good as legendary I can see where the work went but still a great time either way. Keep up the good work 👍

A SIDE MISSION I'VE NEVER HEARD OF AFTER ALL THESE YEARS?!? How have I never heard of Patriarch before? Does anything happen in 3 if you help him?
There were cut lines from the Omega dlc, but unfortunately he wasn't included in ME3

6:00 Grizz's mission (protect Patriarch) will trigger after your first recruitment in Omega (Garrus or Mordin, whoever you prefer to recruit first). This will trigger BEFORE the Horizon mission.
I prefer to do this mission after completing Grunt's loyalty mission... Of course, for the unique dialogue. Yeah!
I actually ran mods where I brought everybody to Mordin's recruit mission like Garrus, Tali and really anyone who had lines for 2:46
Samara, Thane and Legion didn't have any though. 😞
Tali recorded lines for Mordin? Or were they edited in?
@@kevinthunder3375 thane and samaura have lines. Tali does not because she has her suit on. Thane mentions something about Drell anatomy and Samaura mentions how she shouldn't be reacting so quickly to it so it must be a strong virus.
Wow, so many extras if you do things little bit different, "out of suggested game order", specially after some playthrus when people are eager to contact with the Shep old ME crew. Btw, wish you could make some vid talking about who are the best companions for key missions or assigments, to explore their narrative further and maybe without detaills. Playing the LE rn, I just forgot so many things, like in Tali trial, I pick Miranda as companion but notice how everyone on the MF just ignore her🤦♂️😒
Zaeed is one of my favorites as well as Grunt. I often use both of them.
Here is an idea... Bring Grunt and Archangel (or as we like to call him: Husbando) to see Mordin. TH-cam recordings only ever show one squad member being healed, not both. Makes me wonder how the game handles it.
I literally just did this today, actually. Purely by chance. Lmao. Yes. Mordin heals both.
And he has an interaction with Grunt by the body burning site. Though I like Zaeed's more now lol

Just that she wont tell you about a location on some planet where you can find some useful materials. You fight a couple of large mechs there from what i remember. Not sure if the location can be found as you roam around the galaxy or whether its locked specifically to this mission though

Since I play LE I technically "recruit" Zaeed first, promptly head back to the ship to replace Jacob with him, and take Zaeed and Miranda to recruit Garrus immediatelty afterwards. Then Mordin.

Why to bring garrus and wrex to noveria they have a lot of funny quotes
Bring them both at ME3 Citadel mission of retrieving the Normandy.

I mean, isn't everyone bringing Zaeed and Grunt to Garrus recruitment mission?
But you need to bring Zaeed and Mordin with you to Okeer, so you obviously can't take Grunt to recruit Mordin. Also it would be stupid to bring a non-human squadmate with you into the plague zone anyway.
There are very few things I hate about the second game but one of them is the complete lack of diplomatic options and the ability to show Mercy.
I really wanted to spare Jentha's life.

Shepard, Zaeed, and Grunt as your krantt? I'd sleep better.
But playing Legendary Ed., I found out the hard way that Zaeed wasn't fit to lead the fireteam in the suicide mission. You lose whoever you sent into the shaft. Had me wishing I'd sent Kasumi or Jacob into the shaft instead of Legion. Too late to reload and fix it after that happened.

Tali, Legion and Kasumi will survive it if you've done their loyalty missions.
The diversion team should be lead by Miranda, Jacob or Garrus. Should make them loyal unless you want the shaft crawler to die regardless

The mission Aria gives you, watch Pete complete’s walkthrough, he says if you’re any higher than 10 you won’t kill the 3 mech’s and even then it isn’t guaranteed to work every time. How I play it is, grab Zaeed and moridn, you need mordin to unlock the lab, then do Zaeed’s loyalty mission to unlock the cain, then go straight for the planet, even at level 9 I struggled to kill all 3 mechs with a shot of the cain
the garbage part on this remake with all dlc's is the absolute lack of tie between the Leviathan mission and everything after that. i mean at one point you after the mission sheperd talks about reapers... beeing some ancient race, and bullshit, thou the leviathan tells him the story of reapers. so little effort to make this. well it worked EA got a few million dollars for allmost nothing
