I couldn't stop laughing when Javik referred to the Salarians as "the lizard people" who "Used to eat flies". He has some of the best dialog in the game, especially if you bring certain other characters. I also like Mordin, who's adorable. And of course Wrex. Especially with dialog such as: "You haven't seen how fast we can pop em out."
For real.. i always feel a combination of naked/exposed when not brining Garrus. Like, how can you not bring him. Hes litterally Shepards best friend, a capable commando, one hell of a sharpshooter, and an anchor for Shepards actions and decisions.

I hate Garrus, guy is fun, but I don't give a shit since he is so overplayed and not even that great (Better than Jacob, Ash, and Kaiden, humans suck tbh, and probably would've liked him more if we actually went on the homeplanet of the turians idk). Edi at least has humor I like. I don't care for the calibrating stiff attitude every god damn second. Fuck Garrus, bro is a bro, but everyone thinks they need to stuff his dic in him. Femshep, maleshep, everyone just wants to eat him. I can do without his scar ass.

Kalros is probably responsible for the survival of green plantlife in the Tuchanka ruins, and similarly most of the valuable artifacts are probably still there.
I love Liara's dialogue in this mission, especially when you're in the ruins and her inner scientist comes out. I always felt they overdid the whole 'war aged her beyond her years' shtick in me3 and it's nice to see the few moments her old self comes back out.

I generally bring Garrus & James for this mission & then bring Javik on the last mission on Rannoch for Reaper killing. I always liked the fact that if you pay attention when the Krogan vehicles get blocked on the way to curing the genophage, you can bump into the krogan mechanic from ME2
Mordin Solus, the just a bit crazy scientist, singer, doctor, sex counselor and hero many krogans will name their kids after. I would've celebrated like there's no tomorrow, if Eva turned down Wrex and datet Mordin🤣🤣🤣
@@HunterD15 It's a necessity for my playstyle. First I played as a Vanguard and then you need a sniper. And your second companion needs to be crowdcontrol. Krogan is excellent crowdcontrol. Mordin is surprisingly good for crowdcontrol with his freeze tech and Javik has Dark energy what is a crazy primer for biotic explosions because it goes from a dead enemy to the next. Garrus in that case is a master shield stripper while sniping enemies you can't reach. That means you can bang from enemy to enemy, even on Insanity. You only have to equip a light shotgun and the Acolyte Pistol to strip Barriers.
I always did the Rachni-Arlack Company mission before I went to Tuchanka; mainly because I thought it was something you had to do before you could cure the geneophage.
I havent seen any lore stating it, But i wonder if the reason Thresher Maws are so widespread is because the Protheans dropped thousands of their eggs across millions of planets to take out destroyers like this
In Mass Effect 1 in the codex it states that the reason Thresher Maws are so widespread is because people who unknowingly came in contact with the eggs would travel to other planets causing the Thresher Maws to spread there.
Videos like this are one of the many reasons I was thrilled to hear the original trilogy was being remastered. So much detail in these games that would have been missed otherwise. I love it!
Another great video! I love seeing all the options with different squadmates. I try and mix up my squad choices as much as possible on different playthroughs in order to see different things. However sometimes I fall into the trap of just picking my favorites! Lol I gotta stay the course and mix it up more. Thanks for the video. I never get sick of seeing that Reaper get taken down by that Thresher Maw. Epic scene.
@@kangkudos1225 I dont think she is as versatile as Miranda BUT I use EDI + Liara for every mission in the game apart from those where you gotta use Tali or because you dont have EDI and Liara yet. The insane Tech might of EDI and Biotic streangth of Liara makes my Soldier into a Soldier-Adept-Sentinel really. Still, Miranda + Kasumi seemed stronger.
I brought Garrus and Javik for this one, it was insane with how much banter the two of them comes up with when they are with each other Almost like they are competing for the Troll/Comedian spot
We all know Reaper tech can indoctrinate even if damaged/destroyed. So my guess is the Krogans are screwed. In less than a year there gonna have to deal with an indoctrinated, reaper tech upgraded Kalross. We saw what happened to the Cerberus team on the destroyed Reaper in ME 2...

Especially since Vega asking for opinion of him joining N7 and declaring Shepard as his informal "N7 teacher", I feel like Shepard is a mentor to him, just like Anderson is to Shepard. Vega is not essentially a young shepard but you know the mentor-disciple relation is similar. Being an N7 is not about what you're good at Vega☠️😂☠️ it's about dealing with a variety of situations. So the first 2 AA guns Vega and last one Tali, to let Vega off the hook a bit.

I want to try out more squad combinations for priority missions. I always bring Liara and Garrus to Sur’Kesh and to Tuchanka because it always feels like a mini-ME1 reunion.
I brought my usual best bro Garrus and best girl Tali. Although I always bring Javik along with Liara to Thessia, it's so funny how he shatters all that she thinks to know.
What I loved most about this, was the giant Thresher Maw, just absolutely wrecking the shit out of the Reaper, like a Krogan God protecting it's people and saying fuck the Reapers.
I swear the first time I played this all those years back I remember shouting with excitement when Kalros took that reaper down. I was so pumped, battle cries and shit. One of the best moments in the game
Javik is fucking plot essential to every main mission and he was day 1 dlc when ME 3 first came out. It says a lot about EA in the past when they fuck up marketing and development time THIS badly.

Well Catalist said that every reaper is created from whole civiliziation and also every reaper is build on the example of the first reaper harbringer. Most of the cars looks the same(I talk about the shape) yet their insides are always created in some unique patterns.
@@AJZulu They were turning ME3 around in about essentially 2 years of actual development when any normal game these days takes 4 to 5 years even if one excludes some preproduction work. They were working in an entire new multiplayer system; even if another team did a bulk of the work...alot of systems and foundational work has to be done by the developers, producers, and artists of the main team. It's amazing how people who have no idea what goes into game development and production feel like they know enough to judge what is lazy or not.
Reapers are all copies of Leviathan, aside the human reaper from the second game, something that was never explained in detail, because god child tossed out the entire cannon from the 2 previous games, he sits in a vacuum on the station, yet you need no helmet, he controls the reapers but the prothean scientist removed the beacon Sovereign used, without that little shits knowledge, poor writing, they forgot a lot of shit we were told earlier.
You should try bringing both liara and garrus to the priority Sur'Kesh mission, in mass effect 3, because if you do the lair of the shadow broker mission in mass effect 2 because there is some funny banter in the priority Sur'Kesh mission.
It always really bothered me that they seem to stupid to see the reaper tech all over the rachni corpse and are like “oh guess they betrayed us” IT DOSENT EVEN LOOK LIKE A RACHNI ANYMORE!
In the spectre mod the krogan request to build mobile maw hammers to call thresher maws to reapers in the field. In response the reapers reaperfy threasher maws and they obliterate entire battalions of turians and krogan.
Javik has a harsh attitude towards the Krogan (use them for cannon fodder) - you'd think someone who had witnessed his entire species go extinct wouldn't be so quick to condemn another to the same fate.
Just to annoy people, you should show what happens when you don't go to talk to Garrus for several main story missions after he gets on board the Normandy.

I prefer Javik and Liara in this one. I think Liara's comments in the krogan ruins fit better. 8:45 I just love that panic shooting. Reapers are not perfect. I bet it (or they, as Sovereign said each Reaper is a nation) was afraid of being killed.
I bring Javik on every mission for my renegade playthroughs and when he's all broken up at the end and tells you "I can still fight for you" I feel little daggers in my heart. I mean he's more broken up then some of the day 1 squad.

Me too. Plus it seemed right to bring Garrus as curing the genophage helps secure the alliance between turian and krogan. I also thought Liara being a former archeologist would like to see the krogan ruins.
There's some missing banter here. Just before entering the Krogan Memorial (5:54 ) take a left around the bend there to a ledge. Sometimes looking out at the vast ruin of Tachanka on that ledge triggers banter.
Love your videos! It’s been so fun to watch as I play through the Legendary edtion myself. What would you say to doing a comparison video: best possible play through (as many crew survive as possible, as many war assets as possible, etc…) VS worst possible play through (as many crew die as possible, least possible war assets as possible, etc…)? I would always do Paragon and aim to get the best possible ending, but would love to see how this type of play through differs from a paragon (or renegade) play though where Shepherd just drops the ball and gets everyone killed (example; Wrex lives vs Wrex dies in ME2 & ME3). I’m sure it would be time consuming, but super cool to see. Anyway, keep making awesome videos!
Worst possible play-thru is how many people do their first INSANITY run. The game becomes way shorter by skipping mission-triggered dialogue and avoiding missions that only happen if someone is alive
First time I did that mission I brought Garrus and Javik. I didn’t know what would happen during the mission but even in mass effect 2 Tuchanka always seemed like a ‘boys club’ kind of place so I’d only use characters like garrus, grunt, zaeed, etc there.
I usually take Javik when going against the Reapers, just as I usually chose Tali for Geth missions or Zaeed when fighting Blue Suns. Some of these RPG choices seem me natural than others.
Always enjoy watching these because no matter how many times I run through this beautiful trilogy, I can't help but take Tali and Garrus everywhere. Very weird to develop an attachment to npc's but another testament to the fantastic writing and fantastic everything really.
I always love Garrus' dialogue here "you know you're in trouble when the Krogan name a thresher maw, they don't think anyone is ever going to kill it"
The part where Garrus makes jokes while charging the reaper always gets me.

EDI is the best squadmate in ME3, imo. I was surprised to find out she was less popular than I imagined. Her bits with Joker, too good.

I want to try out more squad combinations for priority missions. I always bring Liara and Garrus to Sur’Kesh and to Tuchanka because it always feels like a mini-ME1 reunion.
I brought my usual best bro Garrus and best girl Tali. Although I always bring Javik along with Liara to Thessia, it's so funny how he shatters all that she thinks to know.

What I loved most about this, was the giant Thresher Maw, just absolutely wrecking the shit out of the Reaper, like a Krogan God protecting it's people and saying fuck the Reapers.
I swear the first time I played this all those years back I remember shouting with excitement when Kalros took that reaper down. I was so pumped, battle cries and shit. One of the best moments in the game
Javik is fucking plot essential to every main mission and he was day 1 dlc when ME 3 first came out. It says a lot about EA in the past when they fuck up marketing and development time THIS badly.

Meer does voice a lot of characters throughout the trilogy. So I wouldn't be shocked.

Ikr? The Reapers at the end of ME2 all had unique designs. But at the end Harbinger looked just like all the other reapers just with the front most leg removed. Fking lazy asses.
Well Catalist said that every reaper is created from whole civiliziation and also every reaper is build on the example of the first reaper harbringer.
Most of the cars looks the same(I talk about the shape) yet their insides are always created in some unique patterns.
@@AJZulu They were turning ME3 around in about essentially 2 years of actual development when any normal game these days takes 4 to 5 years even if one excludes some preproduction work. They were working in an entire new multiplayer system; even if another team did a bulk of the work...alot of systems and foundational work has to be done by the developers, producers, and artists of the main team. It's amazing how people who have no idea what goes into game development and production feel like they know enough to judge what is lazy or not.
Externally they are all similar, internally they are different due to how they are made
Reapers are all copies of Leviathan, aside the human reaper from the second game, something that was never explained in detail, because god child tossed out the entire cannon from the 2 previous games, he sits in a vacuum on the station, yet you need no helmet, he controls the reapers but the prothean scientist removed the beacon Sovereign used, without that little shits knowledge, poor writing, they forgot a lot of shit we were told earlier.

You should try bringing both liara and garrus to the priority Sur'Kesh mission, in mass effect 3, because if you do the lair of the shadow broker mission in mass effect 2 because there is some funny banter in the priority Sur'Kesh mission.

In the spectre mod the krogan request to build mobile maw hammers to call thresher maws to reapers in the field. In response the reapers reaperfy threasher maws and they obliterate entire battalions of turians and krogan.
A few years later...
Kalros, the mother of all Threshers now with 100% more indoctrination thanks to consuming a reaper.

Javik has a harsh attitude towards the Krogan (use them for cannon fodder) - you'd think someone who had witnessed his entire species go extinct wouldn't be so quick to condemn another to the same fate.

Dialog variety like this is why you should have been able to take the whole squad and not just two people on each mission.

I bring Javik on every mission for my renegade playthroughs and when he's all broken up at the end and tells you "I can still fight for you" I feel little daggers in my heart. I mean he's more broken up then some of the day 1 squad.
iv always thought that the reapers were always baiting Shepard for some reason if they were really all powerful they could have easily destroyed the fleets and then go after the planets.

Me too. Plus it seemed right to bring Garrus as curing the genophage helps secure the alliance between turian and krogan. I also thought Liara being a former archeologist would like to see the krogan ruins.

There's some missing banter here. Just before entering the Krogan Memorial (5:54 ) take a left around the bend there to a ledge. Sometimes looking out at the vast ruin of Tachanka on that ledge triggers banter.

Love your videos! It’s been so fun to watch as I play through the Legendary edtion myself. What would you say to doing a comparison video: best possible play through (as many crew survive as possible, as many war assets as possible, etc…) VS worst possible play through (as many crew die as possible, least possible war assets as possible, etc…)? I would always do Paragon and aim to get the best possible ending, but would love to see how this type of play through differs from a paragon (or renegade) play though where Shepherd just drops the ball and gets everyone killed (example; Wrex lives vs Wrex dies in ME2 & ME3). I’m sure it would be time consuming, but super cool to see. Anyway, keep making awesome videos!
Worst possible play-thru is how many people do their first INSANITY run.
The game becomes way shorter by skipping mission-triggered dialogue and avoiding missions that only happen if someone is alive
Kalros and other Maws have probably hollowed out a lot of Tuchanka's upper crust.
The fact that not even a Reaper can withstand a pissed off Tuchankan monster always amuses me

First time I did that mission I brought Garrus and Javik. I didn’t know what would happen during the mission but even in mass effect 2 Tuchanka always seemed like a ‘boys club’ kind of place so I’d only use characters like garrus, grunt, zaeed, etc there.
I usually take Javik when going against the Reapers, just as I usually chose Tali for Geth missions or Zaeed when fighting Blue Suns. Some of these RPG choices seem me natural than others.

I always bring Javik to cure the genophage, same with Rannoch and Reaper base. Anytime killing a Reaper, I bring Javik. Love him like crazy.
I always brought Javik along for the Genophage mission, and then either Garrus, James or Liara. I've never though about bringing EDI but now I will.
I actually took Javik and EDI on that mission. That was when I decided I don't like Javik

Always enjoy watching these because no matter how many times I run through this beautiful trilogy, I can't help but take Tali and Garrus everywhere. Very weird to develop an attachment to npc's but another testament to the fantastic writing and fantastic everything really.
