Marvellous video, Lali. The church alone was worth seeing. And then I could almost feel the friendliness of the southern folk. I'm so glad you've reached the south on your travels' the south remains such a charming place. And to cap it off, a horse got a run around too!
Amazing ! Truly enjoyed your vlog it captures all the exciting aspects of my city and is very enlightening!! Thank you for portraying the historical importance and essence of Chennai .
Your stay at the Broadlands Hotel looks like stepping back in time! It's so interesting to see heritage buildings still in use. Those bats were a cute surprise!
Lovely video lali, I lived in chennai from 2014 to 2015 for a year. Me and my friend used to visit marina beach to have fresh sea food every weekend. If you visit Marina Beach during the dawn, then you can see people fishing and fisherman’s boat coming one after another with Fresh catch. I can bet that you will see so many creatures that you have never seen in your life. The type of Dosa you get in Chennai is just unbelievable egg Dosa, chicken Dosa, mutton Dosa, beef Dosa. These are the items which you will get there which is hard to get by any other parts of India. This video shows the gist of all you can experience in Chennai in just few minutes
Thanks for lovely comment! I did actually go down to Marina beach in the day and saw the people selling the weirdest fish ever and some even looked like small sharks ! 🦈 😯
Nothing critical about it, but to hear Ganesh Chaturthi being the rebirth of lord Ganesh is yet another surprise , How Incredibly Indians rewrite their (our) own reasons and explanations ... ✨ Nice, lively, sincerely captivating video 👍👍

I am glad to see you cover the Indo-Saracenic Architecture buildings in Chennai and explain it to the viewers. However, the best exhibit of Indo-Saracenic architecture in Chennai is the Madras Hihh Court building which people overlook. I thought you would go there having an interest in architecture. The Madras High Court complex is the second largest judicial complex in the world, second only to the Old Bailey in London. Next time you are in Chennai, don’t miss visiting the Madras High Court complex which is right along the beach.
It was incredibly hot and I tend to just stumble across things by accident and then do my extensive research on them after experiencing them. I’m not an expert on architecture haha. 😜
@@LondonkiLali You don’t have to be an expert. I myself have an amateur interest. You at least mentioned the name of the architecture style which many don’t. Definitely check out the high court complex in Chennai. It’s as interesting of a building as the VT Station in Bombay. Hardly any people who visit there show it on their videos. Chennai is not the most interesting city but has a pretty good food scene and lots of hidden history if you go looking for it. And yes, it can get hot starting in March 😀 I grew up in Chennai and Madurai ( which I believe you visited as well) and I still have family there even if I haven’t lived in India in over 30 years. I usually go there in December or January for visits so it’s not too hot lol
I’m impressed how do you maintain fitness when you are in India because Indian food generally like Samosa and sweets ain’t that healthy to eat. I’m guessing you have a strict diet. Love to know whether you have a diet mantra or a process you follow.
I have been here for almost 40 years and I didn't know about many of the places you went to !! 🙆🏻♂ Anyways glad you were here when it was raining. That is the time because otherwise it is a sauna!
ooohhh, you missed filter coffee, that tea set is actually ment to server filter coffer, you need to find geniune filter coffee maker they put up a show dont missed that, and it tastes so good.... and it is available only in southern indian states.
You missed to try filter coffee a few weeks back it earned a prestigious #2 spot in the list of 50 coffees in the world only followed by Cuban Espresso.
Cool video! If I come to Chennai, is there any way to obtain a SIM card to use Uber? I am afraid of scammers because I am traveling to another country alone for the first time. Or are there any prepaid taxi services available at the airport?
You can go to an Airtel store and get a SIM card. Maybe even the airport might have an Airtel store when you land but I’m not sure. If you look online you’ll see where your nearest Airtel is from your hotel. Every airport has pre paid taxis so you will be fine just ignore the touts and go straight to a pre paid taxis desk. Chennai the people are very friendly you will be fine. Good luck 😄

Heya how's you 🙂❤
British built buildings are well preserved. Velu natchiyar's fort and chola palace continue rotting away.
Dosa made Karnataka (Bangalore, Mysore) way is thicker, crispy outside, soft inside, I think is much better than very thin crispy dosa.
