  • Welcome to CHENNAI! 🇮🇳 We actually attempted to speak only Tamil to locals but as you'll see, it didn't work out that way! It's honestly so difficult to remember and to get the pronunciation right, however all that we can do is try....

It is so heartening to note this couple aware that each state in India prides itself in its individual language.
They talking about the need to learn each language is even more commendable. Many foreigners go to South Indian states and talk Hindi, not realising that there is this sensitivity among Indian states about not having Hindi imposed on them directly or indirectly.
The attempt to say “ evalavu” “ nandri” etc is very nice to hear!❤

Are you joking ? vijayanagar empire banned tamil from using it in temples and even cut off their tongues who spoke tamil. They made tamil women who worked in temples as devadasis, who was used by landlords. Heavy taxes were imposed on native tamils. Tamil were taken as slaves to hampi to build those monuments, the reason why vijayanagar architecture matches to Tamil chola and pandya architecture instead of kannada hoyasala, chalukya etc. Not only Muslim invasion even hindu invasion will also be termed as invasion.

People say that the people of South are educated, but I do not think that they are educated, it is just a perception created on social media.
Because the people of South hate the people of North, they always keep criticizing Northern cities and Northern people on social media.
You people don't know anything about North, you just see and hear on social media, then come on social media and spew venom.
We also know that entire South Indian is not developed, only cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad are developed, even today small towns and villages are in very bad condition.
South Indian states have seas, this is the biggest advantage, due to having sea coasts, South Indian states get advantage in trade.
If you people were really so good then you wouldn't hate your own countrymen so much.

@velss2723 People say that the people of South are educated, but I do not think that they are educated, it is just a perception created on social media.
