India is not a low tourism country. It is the 22nd most visited country in the world according to 2019 pre-covid data when around 18 million people visited India.
For a population of 1.4 billion people and with so many cities and tourist spots, 18 million is a miserable figure. Compare that with Malaysia, with only 30+ million people and fewer cities and tourist spots the country used to get about 25million visitors per year during pre-covid era. At one time Malaysia used to get almost as many tourists as its own population. Even Vietnam is catching up and was already doing 18 million during the pre-covid era. Your Ministry of Tourism is comparatively useless compared to that of Malaysia.

Chennai is way more than 6 million people. The population is artificially low because the city corporation only controls the core areas and the downtown district. Chennai is really nice. My family roots are in Kerala but I prefer Chennai. Don't know why.
@@rainbowcolours5133that's fine man , Chennai is objectively better place to live than Kerala , the only thing Kerala has better than Chennai is the nature
@@mahatmagandhi2434Chennai is an urban city and Kerala is a whole damn state. You can't compare it in terms of nature.
Tamil Nadu is a larger than Kerala, in terms of nature, logically Tamil Nadu wins, it has more Forests, mountains, lakes than Kerala.
Chennai is also one of the tourist spot in India, you have seen very few places, there are much more places in Chennai and also you should checkout the near by city pondicherry.
Chennai but for its heat is a wonderful city and the safest place in the whole of India. You can safely go anywhere at any part of the time because police ate very strict and very vigilant during night patrol. You can spend lot of time in the beach late in the night with plenty of really tasty food well into the rarly morning.
I’m from Chennai and you’ve covered some of the places I frequented as a kid, it felt really nice to hear your reactions to those spots. Cheers man!
By the way, Royal Enfield is head quartered in Chennai and they make all motorcycles shipped all over the world from the same factory in the city of Chennai!
Hi Dany, South India - Tamil Nadu is always better than North. We have our own Language and Culture.
I'm from TN dude but let's not compare North also has some interesting old cities.
@@parthipanselvaraj2629 Yeah, I'm an American with Tamil heritage and have never visited North India, but I'd like to go sometime, especially Himachal Pradesh and stuff like that. Both South India and North India are good, let's promote unity
@@johnkingbad yeah try to visit the snowy areas up North and the Rajasthan palaces .
I had a good experience so I'm suggesting you.
@@parthipanselvaraj2629 I think foreigners have the wrong idea, just thrusting themselves into big cities and going into dangerous ideas without research.
Another southeee with north hate 😂
You should have preferred to stay near the East Coast Road (ECR), in one of the beach resorts, where you'll get the real taste of Chennai beaches. You have a lot to explore along the ECR, and also a ride to Pondicherry would be worth considering. You should have had a ride on the IT Highway too. Google alone is not enough to guide you through Chennai 😜
He might have had an elitist perspective which is not appreciable
Hi bro, pink indicates the free for ladies on the bus. It has been implemented to improve & boost our city economy
You, dear Dani are one of those "tourists" who will never find "India". I found India after my first journey when I came back to Europe, Germany . Everything was extremely strange here and I missed something. India and the people there. Now I'm about to visit my "home country" for the 7th time and it will not be the last time. India is a feeling in the first place. And I love it.
India is so Surprisingly different from one place to other place. In same country You have to believe its India.. it takes time.. You never get enough of it, you need years to discover all India.
Chennai looks so vibrant and bustling! Your first day impressions really capture the essence of the city. Can't wait to see how your adventure unfolds!
Welcome to India ❤❤❤
Lots of love from tamil nadu 🎉❤❤❤😊
I like how you have an open mind while visiting these areas. Especially while crossing roads with those bikes around. I hope you tried the food in Chennai it’s really great. Mainly for the food we Indians think of not crossing the seas. While my education was abroad I really missed the home food. Chennai also has great universities. Only thing is the population. But with metro in progress we are developing slowly. 10 years ago Chennai was not like this. A lot has changed now. I hope you enjoyed your stay in Chennai. 🎉
Chennai this station my first travel 2021. I'm originally from Bangladesh 🇧🇩

You need to spend at least 3 days in magnificent Chennai.. visit Mahabalipuram, kovalam beach

There are parts of India which are way more cleaner than this....Bt people would always judge from what the medias usually make them watch....😉😉

Chennai is a amazing city in South India, it's equal to mumbai but without slums.. Mumbai could decrease the slums to make it like chennai .. Go to Pondicherry it's near to chennai
You are absolutely a brave guy Danny..
Love you a lot ♥️
Seriously! Brave enough to visit India alone! Well done!
Very nice and interesting to hear this Foreign Tourist going around on the busy streets at T. Nagar in Chennai, one of the busiest areas of Chennai. It was really nice listening to his coverage and his interaction with the Sales girls and other vendors. But if this Tourist had to visit Chennai during Summer or during heavy rains, he would have certainly thought twice in visiting this city having waded in flooded roads under waist deep water.
You missed the Saint Thomas Cathedral and light house close by to marina beach, You also missed a very good Flea market in between rippon Building and Chennai sub-urban station, There are so many places to see in Chennai, but cant be done in 3 days, There is also guindy snake&national park and Vandalur zoo inside the city, I know Europeans who start their trip in chennai, stay for a week and then take the East Coast Road to Pondicherry (Former French territory), The ECR road to Pondicherry itself has around 10 top class spots on the beach side (Crocodile bank, irula snake community, paragliding, Tiger caves and Mahabalipuram), Pondicherry will take a week, then they visit chidambaram ->tanjore ->Madurai->Kanykumari->Trivandram-Alapuzha->kochi-Munnar->Kodaikanal->ooty->Mysore->Bengaluru . Also north of chennai, there is a pulicat bird santuary which has Fort Geldria Dutch cemetry and there is a Dutch cemetry in Tharangambadi. I have only mentioned few places in chennai, There are a lot more like Egmore Government museum, planetarium and many in Anna Salai which will make your time worthwhile in Chennai
You’ve mentioned great places.
A better choice of city to visit. People in southern indian cities are generally well behaved and you won't have many pestering people around.
Brother, FYI...Chennai Central railway station was built in 1873 by the British
I love this video. I felt like I was there wt you .I love learning about and seeing India. TY
The pink colors bus free travels for womens in Tamil Nadu state.
You can go around in chennai from anywhere to anywhere using only public transport. It's has a very good cheap bus and train (metro and suburban) transport system which is unmatched anywhere in India
Very clean, i am impressed.
@@usernamedevan Are you some kind of fool? Population of a country has nothing to do with tourism. Still India is among the top 25 most visited countries in the world.
man chennai is really walkable with big sidewalks I ant kolktata to be like that but they just make it more car heavy
Thanks for visiting

Chennai / Tamilnadu is known for great architecture of Hindu temples. You can't find it anywhere in the world.
India's DMRC actually consulted on the Dubai metro.
some one mis guided you
chennai is a Beautiful city
safer city
lots of places to explore
Chennai is way more than 6 million people. The population is artificially low because the city corporation only controls the core areas and the downtown district. Most of the city falls under other district administrations. So 6 million is a mere technical figure. The real population is more like 12 to 13 million at least !
Welcome to Chennai, with lots of love 💝💝💝💝
Chennai have many faces
1 is medical city of mecca
Congratulations..
Tamil Nadu is 100% India
from Madras to the south is amazing

He kept missing the most interesting parts by few blocks, in T. Nagar he missed the most busiest streets (Ranganatha street) for shopping. Near Central station, he missed Parry's Corner for some great shopping, in the beach he said there is nothing interesting and missed the whole Food stalls and street vendors selling trinkets.
That's not a cathedral it's called Victoria Public Hall.
