For you my advice is to go get it if you want a download speed of 3MBs while downloading a game of 100 GB from xbox game pass PC app.
Okay guys You need a 5ghz router to reach its potencial. Somebody in the comments said using this divice reached more than 300 megabits the real thing. We need a good router and this adapter using usb 3. Very Nice.
Are you sure you are attaching it to a USB 3.0 port ? They are different color (blue port is 3.0, black port is 2.0) - if for some reason you are not using USB 3.0 port then you cannot get speeds past 100mbps

I've had the issues of disconnects (and refusals to reconnect) when downloading large files. Apparently the chip overheats inside the housing during VHT (40MB/s+) downloads.
Yeah it happens with this, try plugging it into the back of your pc, or into a usb 2.0, shouldn't affect speeds to much and can normally help with this
ive had many issues with this adapter, when it comes to online gaming its super stable and rarely disconnects, but as soon as i start downloading large files or games it crashes and disconnects every five 5 minutes or less, its a huge pain in the ass since im unable to have a fluent connection while downloading large files. any ideas on how to fix this issue? thanks in advance.

Hi Man, this Is going to sound odd but i solved the problem by pluggin it to a 2.0 USB Port rather than a 3.0. as soon as i did that the problem fade away, i Dont know if it had to do with interference issues from other nearby devices to the 3.0 USB Port where i had the device connected, odd but it worked for me. If you want to get those high speeds on your stationary pc then install a mesh router network and connect the pc directly with cable to it ( just place one of the mesh routers close enough that can be reached by a network cable from the pc) . For me that was the best way to get decent speed but I’ve bought the google wifi and the units don’t have the cable connection possibility 😭 and that’s why I bought this little adapter . I don’t know if you can find an small usb adapter that can deliver 800 Mbps at an affordable price. Nowadays you can find a mesh router network with 2 devices close to the same price as the USB adapter . Hope that helped you and remember to subscribe, it helps me and the channel a lot !!!

I’ve changed it with a mesh wired router it worked at that time . I didn’t want to lose my nerves and time with it . Anyway if you look at the number of dislikes this video got, for me it looks like the people are very happy with them . Anyway this was my honest opinion about the archer .
i got it yesterday. It speed is not good it is around 40Mbps (maximum) or less also using a mesh network. Also driver support is not great because the product is new but the driver from the official website is from 2018. not sure. Next time, I will go with another brand. My 3 year, old Toshiba built-in wifi better... not recommended esp if you are using mesh wifi

As I can read in the description of tenda u12 it looks like is identical with the tp-link. Make yourself a favor and this Black Friday buy 2 mesh devices if you intend to use the tenda with a stationary pc.
As I’ve said it before if you need something reliable buy yourself some mesh WiFi and wire it to your PC if you want to buy the archer for your stationary pc . If you intend to use it for a laptop then as closer you get to your router the better speed you get. But mesh routers are getting cheaper and cheaper.

You should try out the EAP225 and/or EAP245 access points. The coverage is fantastic. I think the EAP225 has slightly more powerful antennae though.

100mbps is atrocious my 12 year old 5ghz usb 2.0 gets 350mbps and it cost about £10. I don't believe you're only getting 100mbps.
