My 2014 impala had 60.000 miles on it and started to hear what sounded like tire tread on the road. Ended up bad wheel bearing on the rear left so changed them both. Good as new now. Great video.

I was just as upset as you were at the end of the vid...I had to come back and read the comments...glad to know it was the other side . I was sure it was the bearings gone bad on my Impala as well...you scared me!!! Glad you got it figured out.

I have a 2014 chevy impala ltz.I had stabilitrack, abs and powerstering service codes come on in one day. Turned out to be a rear right wheel bearing. After I changed it everything worked fine.

Having that issue at 160,000 miles. Maybe the tires/ balance. I have to tackle it too. Good Job!!!

To check bearing raise wheel off ground and grab it at 12 +6 o'clock and check for play, if you ave any play you need to replace.

A little side note clean your wheel speed sensors too , one 10mm bolt it might stop your stabilitrak light as well while youre doing the hubs for a clear read 👌

Just watched your video👍and enjoyed that fact that you took breaks in video obviously to not show the angry episodes. LOL Anyway I did mine also and both were actually bad. Thought the noise was on right rear but it was both that were bad. So maybe try replacing other side

How can I pinpoint the location of the noise? It sounds like it's in the rear but quits when I turn the wheel.

I commend for completing the video and saying didnt fix the problem. Still snapped and did great with the worksmanship. Torx bits and metric sockets?

I have a 2018 impala and being you said you have uneven wearing on the tire it could be the rear control arm bushing being loose that’s what I’m dealing with right now in case you never figured out the problem or someone else needs advice

maybe it was the other side rear wheel bearing, best to change both

If you use a swivel adapter on the top nut, it’ll come out without having to remove anything else.

I just had both rear ones done today. Second time, with 170k miles on my ‘14 Impala. This is the only car where I’ve had to replace bearings. Is there an issue here?

It was his other side wheel bearing. But if both bearings been replaced and it sounds like a bearing still.. it’s your rear tires

Im getting ready to change one of mine. Not due to bad bearing but my abs ring. Im hearing its a common problem due to corrosion . I was driving and abs light came on stabiltrack warning popped up and i lost my steering power assist which dealer ship said the rear abs can cause it . Thanks for the video.
