Just started your video and I am already impressed. No long intro song. No triple-layered explanation. The first words out of your mouth are "let's start here with X sized socket". I am genuinely relieved already.
Edit: Wow what a son-of-a-Gunderson this task appears to be. I'm relieved by your video but not excited 😂

Thanks for stating the sizes of sockets needed and for not hiding the difficult parts.
    Great video for hands-on people!

Thank you very much! I liked your video. It was direct and to the point without a lot of talking to make the video longer. I will be watching your videos in the future. I’m a lady mechanic that just want the information not entertainment 👍🏻

Great video. I have an 06 Impala LS. You made the process simple and straight forward, plus you saved me as well as others the cost of this repair.

As a side note, I saw you're using pb blaster to break loose the hub assembly from the spline. *IF* you have the time, spray the pb a day ahead, and let it work. There is a video comparing penetrating fluids, and pb comes out on top. I've been breaking loose rusted bolts/nuts for 40+ years, and pb is the best commercially sold. THE BEST is the old mechanics trick which I learned in the 70's from one of the most knowledgeable mechanics EVER(foreign/domestic>>props Harold)1/2 acetone, 1/2 tranny fluid. Got to keep it in a glass jar(shake when needed) because it will dissolve anything rubber in an old oil can squirt.

I heard even better is if you heat the pb blaster with a torch after you soak the part. Gets anything to separate. I'm probably late to the party on that one. I'm just a guy who works on his own family's cars. A backyard mechanic maybe. Where does the old wd40 rank on that list? I still use it for many different things myself. Not a stuck wheel hub. But...

    Best videos I have found
I am a female so a lot of folks wAnna go into to much detail .
A lot of help this was and I love how you speed thru and don’t try to explain how to use a ratchet first.
    Lol
    Appreciate your videos
    I have completed several jobs

I changed both sides last week. I did clean out where new bearing fits into. I put a little “anti seize” on that area and axel shaft. Lock tight the three bearing screws.

Would the gear puller work without the last 3 bolts being removed? Also if you would have taken a screw driver and put pressure against the brake pads it would have pushed the plunger in and the caliber would have come off easier.

Just looked it up..Walgreens sells nail polish remover(100% acetone in a pump jar.) Buy that, then refill w/mix. And anti-seize on the new assembly. Sorry btw, great video!!

Mine was 13mm idk where you were using 15 mm caliper bolts just saying the wheel hub was 3/4 socket and the t30 was still t30 but great video regardless

Only downside to putting hub nut on and smacking in is the transmission takes the brunt of all of those sledge swings. Prob better to remove tie rod, sway bar link, and strut and then smack the old hub out from inside the wheel well instead of smacking the cv directly into the transmission

use a drill to break off the screw heads. the rotor screws are not a required part, they are just for convenience to hold the rotor in place while you work. you can use a lug nut to hold it in place in the future- when all five lugs are holding the wheel on, your rotor won’t have problems if it’s missing the retention screws.

Good video !! safety first.. it was very dangerous to put you body under the car. even with jack stands anything can happen. it would have been just as easy to have stayed on the stool. i know you did it for the video but there's a lot of DA that want use a jack stand.I am not trolling the video!! you did a good and clean job!!

Wow.. didn't leave the jack under the car in case it fell.. didn't put the tire under the car in case it fell.. no antiseize on the axel.. and most importantly, he didn't even torque the axel nut to spec. Have fun replacing it in a couple months.
