Great video, love how casual and at ease you are. Can’t wait to buy mine! Thank you for sharing 😊
love it~ so super !
I agree with your take on this and the general idea of keeping it simple when it comes recording.
I have yet to get the Pocket 3, I spent the savings on the Action 4 so I just look on from the distance now lol.
I agree - I keep taking my Osmo Pocket 3 out and leaving my A7IV at home 🙂
I definitely appreciate ur insight, it makes so much sense. Getting the pocket 3 to me, means ur trying to b as minimal as possible. And having ND filters and other things, can stop u from creating. Thanks for ur take on the pocket 3.
I agree. I love the ease of use with the pocket 3. I have variable NDs but they seem like another hassle and I don’t like them.
Enjoyed the video man!
The video content is informative,
Ive had the pocket 3 for 2 weeks now and love it. I decided to get it for content creation and talking head videos as opposed to there Sony A7CR. Will still get it for photography in the future but no rush
I'm with you! Less is more. I own the ZV-E1, DJI Pocket 3 and Iphone 15 Pro Max. I only create content for myself, I'm on the fence with keeping the ZV-E1.
I feel you. If I didn’t do the occasional small paid gig, I might not keep the zv-e1. 🤙🏽
@@SCGjustin What would your setup be in you didn’t do paid gigs?
@@JoshuaBelanger probably the pocket 3 and something like the rx100 vii for that massive zoom range.
@@SCGjustin I’m 99% video. I played with the RX100 vii. It didn’t fit my needs. I film my podcasts and do streaming which is why I got the ZV-E1. I considered downgrading to ZV-E10 since it will be on tripod and in a room with lights.
@@JoshuaBelanger I don’t stream, but I know a lot of streamers use the e10.
I just bought a GoPro hero 12 and I love it. I was considering getting a gimbal, but the pocket 2 can be had now for about twice the price of the gimbal. Any thoughts on whether you think the pocket 2 is worth it in 2024? It’s under $300 now and readily available. I’m mostly going to use it alongside my hero 12, but for lower light conditions. I know the pocket three has great low light capability, but it looks like the pocket two is no slouch with low light. I would love your thoughts. Do you think it’s worth it in 2024 since it’s under $300 now?
I am not too familiar with the pocket 2. I n my opinion, a 1” sensor is the smallest I would go for low light shooting. I’d look for a used Sony zv-1 in that price range.
Awesome video! I am torn between the 1/8 and 1/4 black diffusion filters from K&F. I know you are rocking the 1/8, but what are your thoughts on the 1/4? Is there much of a difference?
Haven’t tried the 1/4, but I’ve seen others use it. It’s really “dreamy” looking.
Which filter are you using?? I have a black mist filter it doesn’t say it’s 1/8 or 1/4 🤔
I have a 1/8 by k&f concepts.
@@SCGjustin thank you, you should have linked it! I just ordered it the one I have has the description of a 1/4. Thanks again for sharing 😆.
Hi. You got fantastic colors in this video! Can you tell me how you did it?
In this one, I shot in d-log m and graded it using filmconvert in Final Cut Pro. I think it was a Fujifilm eterna emulation with very minimal grain added. I’m not a colorist, so this is a shortcut I’m happy with.
@@SCGjustin Thank you for your answer. Well done. I use PC and Capcut - it is difficult to achieve such color results there.
Agree with everything you have said. I made a video for my local shooting club with it last week. I didn't intend to use on the day but I had it in my kit bag. Its size and form factor was a major part of the video happening. If I had one of my Canon R6's with me I probably wouldn't have been bothered to set it up for use in first place let alone have the R6 as its just hassle to take it everywhere. Take a look a let me know what you think.... most recent video on m channel. Subbed. 👍
Love the POV style of your shooting video. That’s the beauty of the pocket 3. So easy. Subbed as well. Good stuff.
I'm sorry this is out of topic, but has anyone told you that you look like Napoleon Dynamite's uncle in the live action movie?
Nope. But now I can’t unsee it when I look in the mirror. 😂. Well played, sir.
0:22 you technically no longer have to hold microphones either! lol ✅
Still can’t get used to the feeling of the transmitter on my shirt. It’s small, but still bounces around. I guess it’s more of a me problem. Haha. Thanks for tuning in.
You’re delusional if you can’t see the difference between this toy and a zv-e1 lol. Or you’re just not the right user of a real camera
Guess I should have given a more nuanced explanation. For casual shooting, when weighing convenience and quality, I choose the Pocket 3. When I need quality for a paid gig, I’ll shoot with the Sony in S-log 3, get everything dialed in properly, and grade the footage. I will admit that the pocket 3 does feel like a toy in my hand, though.
