This is so helpful!!!! It’s so heartbreaking to lose these animals that we have taken from their natural environment so anything that we can do to ensure their health is 🎉
Andrew, I can sense that this subject is one of your greatest passions. I share the same sentiment, and I believe it is very important

Excellent information. We as stewards need to be more rigorous in our preparation and treatment of our fish as opposed to impulse buying and tossing them in. Videos like this help break down the knowledge barriers to doing just that. Thanks from Rhode Island

Andrew, in future videos can you include a picture of said disease, bacteria, parasite, or injury that is being specified to help in the identification of said illness? Otherwise this video was full of information!

This was useful. Thank you
Very informative but always wondered if there was a disease and fish either passed qt or died what happens to the beneficial bacteria bag after treatment? Do you let it run in tank for weeks fwlr or place it back into the sump? Never found a clear answer on this.
Wow excellent video...need it information...thank you
appreciate. so much more coming
Love it
Thanks again ❤

Good and beautiful

Thank you!!! ❤
Please refer ALL questions regarding your set up, fish, corals, or other issues to the Polo Reef group located at the link below.
Thank you for being so understanding. facebook.com/groups/poloreefbyandrewsandler
Great info as always. Love the videos!
When you mention prime the bag, I have always thought about this BUT I was under the impression that some sellers ship with copper in the bag which prime & copper mixed are toxic at certain levels. Is that true or false ?
its on next video !! this warning and other bag opening tricks !! and where prime is safe and where its a no no.
its one of these things that i forgot in first video. we were thinking of pulling dn and talking about bag opening tricks so prime is not needed and anything but copper power risk. !
He Andrew why not try out the Paul B method and see how that works out for ya 🙃
If these diseases get into your display tank, can you medicate the whole display without destroying the ecology of the tank? And how would we do that?
complicated question. Huge Uv 4000 W allows me to manage also !! Depends on disease or meds. ! You can Prazi a reef and use certain antibiotics but no great answer to ick and velvet other than hydrogen peroxide manage water column and peroxide salts or feeding meds to fish some help some dont and cranking up ozone and changing uv bulbs. Obviously copper and chloroquine will kill coral. !
Thanks so much for your reply Andrew.
So if you were to add these medications to a new reef set up that hasn't had corals added yet, would the long term residuals of those medications stick around and harm future coral input? Also, if you were to remove all the fish to a quarantine for a month, would the disease stick around in the tank system and just reinfest the fish with disease when they are returned to the tank?@@PoloReef
@@zachhoetzel5034yes you can remove the fish and treat in a separate tank. The display will need to remain fish free, entirely so, for at least six weeks for ich. I think velvet is the same. Uronema won’t go away
❤❤❤
what means prime your bag?
seachem prime if you must mix water but in next episode we talk about other bag opening tricks and where prime is a no no.
I lost my tank to velvet once :( not a fun experience.
I literally said in my head, oh no do the fish have covid?!😂
worse. sometimes
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
where is download chart?
get back to you on that. ! lol
Where can I mget Formalin
amazon. brown bottle 37 percent
Where is the link to that awesome flowchart? I can’t find it in the description. Great video!
🍎
Handy tip for beginners : DO NOT put the bio media back into your display!!!
for sure or any rock
Thank you @AndrewSandler
