Extra true for the hippo. Mine would always hide and had a few white spots he would never let me see. Plus I would find him flat on the bottom of a pvc everyday. Now he’s in my main display and lays flat on some rocks lol

Purchased a tomini tank about 3 months ago. Did great in qt. Has been doing great in my DT. Today seems very weak / lethargic and is not eating. I have a desperate tank for hospital / qt if need be. No obvious signs of disease. Feed fish frenzy + mysts everyday. Small nori sheet about 4-5 times a week.

Can I add that I believe Copperbands and Longnose butterfly’s also have very fast metabolism.

What level of copper is okay with Angels? How long should we keep them in it?

I would treat with Copper Power @ 2.2 - 2.3 ppm for 30 days. Or 14 days if you can transfer the fish to a new tank. Read this: humble.fish/community/index.php?threads/explaining-the-14-days-in-copper-method.7603/

Is a blue spotted jewfish considered a goby? And are the tolerant to copper and if so what level. Only asking because I’m planning on getting one.

They aren't a goby, and I recommend treating them with Kanaplex + Metroplex for 10 days to ward off a weird bacterial disease they oftentimes get (Google "Bluespot Jawfish Disease"). After that you can treat with chelated copper (e.g. Copper Power or Coppersafe) @ 2.2 - 2.3 ppm for 30 days. I also recommend providing sand in the QT for them to sift & burrow. You can place some sand in a glass pyrex bowl.
