As someone who has had regular glasses their whole life, to anyone who spends a lot of time at the computer, these are worth getting! And if you are like me and have prescription glasses, you should be able to talk to your eye doctor about getting Blue Light Lenses, probably not the same as the sponsor but just a little tip for anyone who actually needs glasses to live life! Now after the lasik and no longer needing glasses, I find that I can really notice the strain on my eyes when I sit at my computer. One of the first things I did after the surgery was go to walmart and buy a pair of blue light filtering glasses, but they were cheap and it was easy to tell. Since then I've been looking for a new pair of them so when I saw the add at the beginning of the video I immediately went to the website and ordered a pair. This is the first time ever that an add in a youtube video has gotten me to purchase a product. Can't wait to see how well they work.
I love how everyone else is like "look how much you can abuse the knight's power!" and spooky's like "knight is TRASH... but look how much you can abuse his power!"
I mean, he's not wrong. He isn't at Depipster levels of release bad, but his primary function is "I can use my power to make loops unsafe!". Which survivors can counter in several cases by just running away when he casts his power. The biggest issue right now is his bugs though, so we'll see if he gets stronger after the bugs get patched out
The chaos at 12:20 of having 3 survivors in one room, the carnifex chasing one, and the Knight chasing another... If we had matches of 2 killers and 8 survivors, that scene right there is what it would look like.

Like impassable Hag, Huntress, Trickster, & Slinger providing long range support, Doc shocking people at the worst moments, Nemesis moving in with his own zombie crew to cut off escape routes, and Trapper going around setting traps during that. Hell in support roles, those seven would be broken in multi-killer matches. Nemesis and Knight working together would make it five on eight. Nemesis and his two zombies, and Knight with his crew.

Bubba would be far more deadly for those who bunch up (which is already a problem with just 4). Honestly Slinger would become top tier if he became a support role to someone fast like Legion who can flush people out. And again, Huntress would be the most broken support of them all. Though multi stealth killers would be insane. Scratched Mirror Meyers working with a Ghostface in Lery's would be heart attack inducing.
It’s moments like this that make me want a scooby doo chapter just for dumb moments like that, I’d want space kook but really any scooby villain would be great
The new perk got me killed so many times yesterday. And I'm clearly not good at judging distances after going up against it several times lol. I suddenly feel like running lightweight and stealthing around a gen isn't going to be as productive as before.
One his best add ons is the yellow page that let's you draw paths 25% faster, it let's you zone through a jungle gym instead of just dropping guards right at your feet, and the survivors still have less time to bail because the path is drawn much further faster.
I really appreciate when streamers/YTers are honest with their viewers and by extension the devs. Keep saying how you truly feel without worrying what other people say; it’s very refreshing to hear you say that you think The Knight is shit (bc he is) instead of all the people who are like “oMg He iS sO OP oMg”
Can unconfirm! Patrols only last 12 seconds and they immediately disappear if a survivor is saved. Also they can be dead harded. Might be hard for noobs though.

I've been running deadman switch, merciless storm, tinkerer and nowhere to hide, using the "get 2 assasins in a row" and the "when assasin spawn they scream if within x meters" When they start hiding in closets from nowhere to hide... just drop an assasin in zone and chaos ensues if they try to break your 3 gen strat by team rushing a gen.

I like how every knight player collectively runs this build 😂 even before he came out I already had this exact build in mind. Overall I think he’s a A-B tier killer. But S tier on the 3 gen lockdown
everytime a new killer comes out, i always make the best build i can- then watch spookyloopz's video on them, and then compare if i get anywhere close to his i'm so stoked because i've been getting CLOSER and CLOSER !
I feel like you are one of the few people who I seen play knight more tactical and attack more. I always watch people use Knight in a defensive way. Great to see a different play style. Love the video.
After seeing your live stream and the frustrations you were running into… I’m glad you found a build that helped buff the knight to make it playable until they fix it.
If I actually got and played this game I would main the Knight, love just everything 'bout him. The aesthetic, weapon, the zoning ability, mans a menace

Replace Corrupt with Lethal Pursuer, they're both practically used for the same thing - getting the first hit. AND you'll get two extra seconds on your aura reading perk.
I have this build but the only things I swapped out was Corrupt for bbq, and CoB for Overcharge. Its still a lotta fun and I love denying sneaky gen tappers with NTH
ngl i like the build, i use pop goes the weasel, pain resonance and overcharge with hubris, although most of those matches involved swf carrying flashlights and force me to put on lightborn, but this build is great too
I'm pretty sure the mead addon increases their kick speeds, not planting the standard. The "order" action is what it's called when you highlight a breakable object.
Guards and down people if they hide in a locker mid hunt. Another thing to keep in mind is while a guard is in a hunt you will pass through survivors. I don't know if this is to prevent you from locking them into a instant down but you can you this to you advantage. Before traveling towards a hook drop a guard in your path. If a survivor tries to body block you and trigger the guard hunt then they lose the ability to stop you completely
2:21 Blue light isn't dangerous, it's natural (only at the morning) and needed. Blue light keeps you awake, which isnt wanted in the evening. It prevents melatonin production (the hormone making you sleepy). So instead of going with glasses, you can use f.lux for pc or the blue light mode on any phone. Does the same trick. Additionally, when looking at screens, you tend to blink less, which makes your eyes dry. Blink more often and your eyes are perfectly fine.

I am so glad you’re saying this bc while Adepting him, I felt like his power was garbage but I wasn’t sure it wasn’t just me! Which is crazy bc usually killers feel at least a little OP upon release. This one felt so lack luster!!
I was excited for a knight killer to come to dbd and although The Knight looks cool af, his power is pretty underwhelming and unrewarding by not being as Intractive and comes off as a miss. Was hoping for a more simplistic but skillful power to master (such as Huntress and Billy) and his power is a good idea, but it doesn't fit as well on the knight as it could on a different killer and the Knight could have had so many other types of powers focused on himself.
Remember, just because a Guard doesn't get a hit doesn't mean you didn't get value. For the duration of a hunt, survivors can't do anything without risking a health state. People keep comparing Knight to Artist, but I've found people are missing that he seems more like Artist meets Hag, not just Artist 2.0/0.5 as people make him out to be. He has to be territorial and use his power not just in chase, but to distract and slow down the game while pushing survivors where he wants.
I'm happy to know it wasn't just me that sucked using this killer. Before I knew it they only had 1 generator left to do and only a few hooks with 4 alive😅
For this build I think any of the guard specific add ons would do well, but I think double jailer and the one that gives a speed boost after summoning the jailer would be fun
When people still think Blue light damages eyes, it’s just eye strain caused by the lack of blinking when looking into a computer screen. Doesn’t damage your vision at all, you can replicate the same results by staring for too long at something or reading a book
Blue light doesn't actually damage your eyes. It does cause eye strain and throws off circadian sleep cycle. Though eye strain could be due to looking at powerful light in general

I've had pretty good luck running this guy. Went from gold 3 to iri 1 just playing him. Yea he has issues and needs to be looked at but he is still pretty damn good
He's aight at least he's not like a killer on ice like Wesker. U just showcased how fun he can be. Other than the guards he's basically an M1 killer which I like personally but can see why others wouldn't. Not every killer needs to be doing the most.
I mean I know this video was made day 1 of release so I understand not fully grasping some of the intricacies of his mechanics so I'll leave some tips for anyone who comes across this in the future. I am still learning the character myself so let me know if you know of any tricks that might be useful. First thing I'd point out is that Spooky only used the power for zoning and lethality but there is a third use and that is for information. While you can't see survivors while creating a path you still can hear them, see blood, and hear generators/totems. This can allow you to quickly check generators without having to walk over there, with the additional bonus that it creates a deadzone on it's way back to you. When paired with the call to arms addon it allows you to check any generator while being in the middle of the map on most maps. Which can be very useful while defending your three gen. It should be noted that you generally want to avoid doing this with the Jailor as he patrols for longer than the others so it can leave you without a power for quite a while if misused. Second think I'd point out is that while Spooky calls them "slow" that's not exactly accurate. They are slow by killer standards. The non-assassins run at 4.1 m/s which importantly is FASTER than a survivor meaning that unless they vault a window they will not outrun them if they didn't gain much distance while the hunt starts. However his power is not solely about lethality! The carnifex's hunt time without add-ons is TWENTY FOUR seconds without addons. That is 24 seconds where that survivor cannot stop to heal, they cannot stop to mend, they cannot stop to work on a generator. It is 24 seconds of you removing a survivor from the game while also being able to track them. It's all well and good to say "oh it'll chase them for 24s" but that doesn't help me if they don't run into my guard! Well here's how to get them to chase. Drop the guard on them. If you drop a guard with in 2m of a survivor the hunt will begin as soon as they're fully spawned. Wait for a situation where you know they're going to commit and drop the guard on them. Going to drop a pallet? Drop it on em. Vault a window? Drop it on em. They running down a narrow hallway? You guessed it. Drop it on em. A final bit of advice I would give for using this character is to keep verticality in mind. Guards' vision does not care about verticality, if someone is in a window on lambkin lane (btw you should never lose this map as knight, it's disgustingly broken for him) drop a guard and watch them fly up to chase them and because you can see where they are you can just wait for them to have to drop down. Same on The Game, you can have the guard patrol near the holes and they'll fly up or down. Some other notable places are Coal Tower, Eeyrie, and Ormand. I hope this helps someone, and happy hunting.
The way I would buff the Knight would be to have his orb visible only when survivors are close to it, give the guards longer chase times and slightly faster speed, and fix the janky janky pathing
His biggest advantage is the ability to create a zoning situation. If you try to play him like a typical kliller, he's going to be ass vs decent survivors. If you know how a survivor is going to path, it's gg every time if you path The Boys properly. One of The Boys forces a DH, you finish by sweeping the legs.
I already have glasses or id totally get some of those glasses. Blue light gives me a lot of headaches at night, thus why I have to play with a light on
Well I run a less complicated build with the knight, Nowhere to hide, Hubris, and Enduring + Brutal strength to help the hubris. Been thinking about adding spirit fury instead of nowhere to hide
I have an idea, camping myers but with judith tombstone and fragrant tuft of hair. Pop t3 when they go for rescure, most likely wont work on first try but itll def piss of a couple survivors.
If you use the guards for guarding areas (hooks, gens that need regression, exit switches) or for driving survivors away from safe loops, the knight seems pretty strong. And he's a really good camper too, drop a guard and also stay at the hook and even 3 other survivors have trouble doing a rescue.
@@g80gzt You can if you stay at the hook, I've done it several times. The survivor triggers the guard, and since I'm standing at the hook the survivor usually runs off with the guard chasing rather than trying to get the rescue. Often the guard will keep one rescuer away while I fend off another. At the very least if I'm not there I get info that a rescue is happening.
So many people don't know that unhooks ends a guard chase. It's really fun to "camp" a basement entrance solely with a guard, knowing that survivors chicken out even though there is no real danger besides you.

It's super good. Survivors are so cocky with hiding around rocks and in bushes. Very comfy perk

Larger detection has a similar effect. At most loops, even if they run early they won't get away fast enough to avoid the circle.

The brown addon doesn't decrease the time to summon a guard, it makes them complete a kick action faster.

I had 3 games where I was the knight and got myself in a 3 gen situation and I can tell you, a long ass standoff lol

I find the Knight works best on indoor maps, where survivors have less places to go when placing down a guard.
Midwitch elementary would be brutal against knight abandon all hope ye who enter this place.
I've had better luck in more open spots. Haha. Then again I am NOT the best player haha
I really like the Knight, I think his kit is interesting and fun. Got a few 4k's with him cuz his zoning is fantastic.
Been running Distortion ever since he came out because tons of people are running Nowhere to Hide.

The knight literally turns shacks loop from the safest loopable area into "dig your grave" area.
My favorite addon combo is treated blade and horse meat, the longer chase time really lets your guards shine, especially assassin!

Those glasses only work for a short amount of time though, your body gets used to them and they don’t work as good as they used to.

Was hoping for a more simplistic but skillful power to master (such as Huntress and Billy) and his power is a good idea, but it doesn't fit as well on the knight as it could on a different killer and the Knight could have had so many other types of powers focused on himself.

Remember, just because a Guard doesn't get a hit doesn't mean you didn't get value. For the duration of a hunt, survivors can't do anything without risking a health state.
People keep comparing Knight to Artist, but I've found people are missing that he seems more like Artist meets Hag, not just Artist 2.0/0.5 as people make him out to be. He has to be territorial and use his power not just in chase, but to distract and slow down the game while pushing survivors where he wants.
I'm happy to know it wasn't just me that sucked using this killer. Before I knew it they only had 1 generator left to do and only a few hooks with 4 alive😅

When people still think Blue light damages eyes, it’s just eye strain caused by the lack of blinking when looking into a computer screen. Doesn’t damage your vision at all, you can replicate the same results by staring for too long at something or reading a book
Is the Carnifex unaffected by walls & other obstacles? This is a pretty cool killer.
Blue light doesn't actually damage your eyes. It does cause eye strain and throws off circadian sleep cycle. Though eye strain could be due to looking at powerful light in general

I've had pretty good luck running this guy. Went from gold 3 to iri 1 just playing him. Yea he has issues and needs to be looked at but he is still pretty damn good

He's aight at least he's not like a killer on ice like Wesker. U just showcased how fun he can be. Other than the guards he's basically an M1 killer which I like personally but can see why others wouldn't. Not every killer needs to be doing the most.
I mean I know this video was made day 1 of release so I understand not fully grasping some of the intricacies of his mechanics so I'll leave some tips for anyone who comes across this in the future. I am still learning the character myself so let me know if you know of any tricks that might be useful.
First thing I'd point out is that Spooky only used the power for zoning and lethality but there is a third use and that is for information. While you can't see survivors while creating a path you still can hear them, see blood, and hear generators/totems. This can allow you to quickly check generators without having to walk over there, with the additional bonus that it creates a deadzone on it's way back to you. When paired with the call to arms addon it allows you to check any generator while being in the middle of the map on most maps. Which can be very useful while defending your three gen. It should be noted that you generally want to avoid doing this with the Jailor as he patrols for longer than the others so it can leave you without a power for quite a while if misused.
Second think I'd point out is that while Spooky calls them "slow" that's not exactly accurate. They are slow by killer standards. The non-assassins run at 4.1 m/s which importantly is FASTER than a survivor meaning that unless they vault a window they will not outrun them if they didn't gain much distance while the hunt starts. However his power is not solely about lethality! The carnifex's hunt time without add-ons is TWENTY FOUR seconds without addons. That is 24 seconds where that survivor cannot stop to heal, they cannot stop to mend, they cannot stop to work on a generator. It is 24 seconds of you removing a survivor from the game while also being able to track them.
It's all well and good to say "oh it'll chase them for 24s" but that doesn't help me if they don't run into my guard! Well here's how to get them to chase. Drop the guard on them. If you drop a guard with in 2m of a survivor the hunt will begin as soon as they're fully spawned. Wait for a situation where you know they're going to commit and drop the guard on them. Going to drop a pallet? Drop it on em. Vault a window? Drop it on em. They running down a narrow hallway? You guessed it. Drop it on em.
A final bit of advice I would give for using this character is to keep verticality in mind. Guards' vision does not care about verticality, if someone is in a window on lambkin lane (btw you should never lose this map as knight, it's disgustingly broken for him) drop a guard and watch them fly up to chase them and because you can see where they are you can just wait for them to have to drop down. Same on The Game, you can have the guard patrol near the holes and they'll fly up or down. Some other notable places are Coal Tower, Eeyrie, and Ormand.

I usually use the perks Surveillance, call of brine, pop goes the weasel, and Nowhere to hide. Surveillance works great.
Surveillance makes the gen white then yellow if survivor touches it call of brine cancels it out by making it yellow instantly.

The way I would buff the Knight would be to have his orb visible only when survivors are close to it, give the guards longer chase times and slightly faster speed, and fix the janky janky pathing
His biggest advantage is the ability to create a zoning situation. If you try to play him like a typical kliller, he's going to be ass vs decent survivors.
If you know how a survivor is going to path, it's gg every time if you path The Boys properly. One of The Boys forces a DH, you finish by sweeping the legs.
In my *FIRST Encounter* with *The Knight* , my entire *Squad of Survivors* were *Wiped Out!*
I already have glasses or id totally get some of those glasses. Blue light gives me a lot of headaches at night, thus why I have to play with a light on

Well I run a less complicated build with the knight, Nowhere to hide, Hubris, and Enduring + Brutal strength to help the hubris.

I have an idea, camping myers but with judith tombstone and fragrant tuft of hair. Pop t3 when they go for rescure, most likely wont work on first try but itll def piss of a couple survivors.
The concept of his power is cool. Seems like it takes too long to send the guards out though.

If you use the guards for guarding areas (hooks, gens that need regression, exit switches) or for driving survivors away from safe loops, the knight seems pretty strong. And he's a really good camper too, drop a guard and also stay at the hook and even 3 other survivors have trouble doing a rescue.
Can't do it on hooks. Unhooking someone ends the hunt on you.
@@g80gzt You can if you stay at the hook, I've done it several times. The survivor triggers the guard, and since I'm standing at the hook the survivor usually runs off with the guard chasing rather than trying to get the rescue. Often the guard will keep one rescuer away while I fend off another. At the very least if I'm not there I get info that a rescue is happening.
So many people don't know that unhooks ends a guard chase. It's really fun to "camp" a basement entrance solely with a guard, knowing that survivors chicken out even though there is no real danger besides you.
