In this Delonghi Rivelia review, we give you our opinion on this new super-automatic coffee machine. You'll also find a detailed comparison of the Delonghi Rivelia and the entire range of Delonghi coffee machines. We explain the differences between the two available versions of Delonghi Revelia: the EXAM440.35 and the EXAM440.55.
The great novelty that the Delonghi Rivelia brings is that it includes 2 coffee bean containers that can be easily switched. And you might be wondering, "What is that for?" Basically, it allows you to switch between different types of coffee beans with just a click. This will allow us, for example, to make a coffee with a more intense flavor or opt for a more aromatic one.
Another application to consider for the Bean Switch System (that's what this Delonghi technology is called) is that we can use decaffeinated coffee beans. In case you didn't know, decaffeinated coffee beans exist, so this coffee machine will allow us to continue enjoying the best coffee in the late afternoon.
This coffee machine also stands out for its 3.5-inch color touchscreen. It makes using the machine more intuitive and includes beautiful animations that are a clear indication that we are dealing with the newest coffee machine from the Italian manufacturer.
Another strength of the Delonghi Rivelia is its customization options. It includes the Bean Adapt system, which is only available in Delonghi's high-end models. This system allows you to adjust the machine's parameters to the type of coffee you're using to get the most out of it. Plus, with the customization profiles, you can save your favorite settings for each type of drink, so that each member of the household can enjoy their coffee with their favorite style at the push of a button.
And, of course, this coffee machine also includes the latest in milk-based coffee preparation. Delonghi's latest Latte Crema system allows you to prepare delicious cappuccinos and many other milk-based recipes at the push of a button.
And we haven't talked about another very important aspect of this machine, the design. At first glance, this model looks more compact than other Delonghi models because the water tank, instead of being integrated into the body of the machine, is separate on the side, making the machine appear narrower. However, it has dimensions similar to other models in the Delonghi range.
Measurements:

- Height: 38.5 cm
As you can see, these are similar measurements to the entry-level models. However, when compared to the premium models, you do gain a few extra centimeters that can save some space.
Regarding practical aspects, we need to talk about the capacity of the containers:
The Delonghi Rivelia has a water tank capacity of 1.4 liters, a coffee bean capacity of 250g, and can hold 10 used coffee grounds.
In this regard, you should be aware that, as we mentioned earlier, the somewhat more compact dimensions limit its container capacity. So, when compared to other Delonghi models, you'll need to refill it more frequently.
The Rivelia EXAM440.35 is priced at 699€, and the EXAM440.55 is priced at 799€, which is €100 more. The main difference is that the one ending in 55 includes the Latte Crema system for preparing milk-based coffees, while the one ending in 35 has a manual milk frother for heating the milk.
In conclusion, this coffee machine stands out above all for allowing us to enjoy different types of coffee beans, its customization options, being the most economical model with a premium Latte Crema system, and its innovative range of colors.
On the other hand, it has somewhat limited container capacities, and it's worth noting that the Latte Crema system is a bit challenging to clean.

Thank you! Delonghi is an Italian manufacturer, but I am not sure where the machine is made. I think they have a factory in Romania but I am not 100% sure... 😅

Do you know the white filter thing that goes into the water tank. Is that supposed to stay in permanently whilst making drinks or is it just for cleaning purposes?
Hello! Yes, the white filter is intended to stay perrmanently inside the water tank. Its function is to remove lime from the water. However, if you use low-mineral bottled water, it's not completely necessary to install it. Best regards and thank you for following us!

Can one change the Temperature of the cappuccino? I had once a cappuccino that was only warm not hot... so my question: is the brewing-temp adjustable?
In the settings menu, you will find the "Coffee Temperature" option where you can adjust it. You can access this option on the screen by pressing the mechanical wrench icon.
