    I forgot to say - the milkies in this video were all with Oat (Moma) so if you're wondering if it'll do OK with Oat, there's your answer 😎

      Wait, wait, wait... It doesn't make steam? How do you get the creamy frothy milk for cappucino then? I love my coffee with a lot of foamy milk.. Can I get it with this machine?

    Thanks for that review! That’s exactly what I needed. Looks like Rivelia is going to replace my dying Magnifica. :)

    Detachable coffee hopper is a great idea, as the coffee is not continuously exposed to the heat.

    Thank you for this, ordered this as my next machine, I had doubts, and was wondering if I should have gone manual . I would like to eventually work my way up to a manual machine, but I see there is a lot of innovation going on with manual machines, especially in regard to improving heating up times so this one will be a big upgrade from the nespresso pods for me and in the meantime I will put money aside for a good grinder and a future manual machine.

    Looks like the Revelia isn't available in the USA. I hope it turns up soon. Thanks for a great video Kev.

    I have this machine and can confirm its a good machine if you want great coffee without the full manual process.

      Thanks for that. Have you noticed anything (positive or negative) from using the machine that you think I missed in the review? Ta, Kev

      @@Coffee_Kev i think you covered it very well as always. My favorite positives is true double shot and bean adapt which works well in my opinion. Negative - hot water shoot splashes a bit... nothing major bad just a tad annoying.

      Thanks for this helpful review. The DeLongi website has only vague info about a product which is considered a large investment for most people.

    What great machine. Easy switching that works would be useful to me. I just single dose my Sage Touch Impress, which defeats the point of its built-in grinder. Oh well.

    • @Coffee_Kev
      @Coffee_Kev  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To be fair I don't think single dosing defeats the object, they're not really made for single dosing but then most grinders aren't. If you get the silicone bellows extension you can get for a few quid to allow you to blow out the exchanged retention, personally I think single dosing is a valid choice on integrated grinder machines, and is approximately 50 billion times better than using pre-ground 😆.

    Hi Kev, I’ve bought the machine based on this review and it’s fab. The only problem is Ive bought some of your coffee and I’m struggling to dial in the correct grind settings thus wasting beans. Video on this would be appreciated 👍🏻

    And just as we were all settled, minds made up and about to go out and buy an Impress Express …… you go an flippin ruin it! 😂
    We’re not officianados and have been ‘satisfied’ coffee wise by our Bosch/Siemens integrated btc machine BUT we’re moving house so looking for a countertop.
    So here’s the thing Kev … how much of a clart on is the milk jug management and wand cleaning up (housekeeping) for this type or milk reservoir machine?
    Compared to a pro wand and jug (which we’re used to)
    We only really make flat whites so micro foam is all important (for us) but have never really liked the idea of a milk reservoir approach - where you have to move a jug to/ from the fridge - which also means extra fridge real estate given over and splitting milk storage in fridge across two receptacles essentially.
    🙏🏻

    Excellent review, thank you! Based on your reviews mainly, I'm going to get either this or the Sage Barista Touch Impress.
    Which would you recommend for someone who is really into their coffee, has to make great espresso and milk coffee, but also doesn't necessarily want to go through the most effort?
    Asked differently I guess, is the relative increase in effort to dial in and operate the Sage worth it over this one for the difference in quality?
    Really torn between the two!

    • @Coffee_Kev
      @Coffee_Kev  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks 😊👍. The Rivelia is very impressive as far as bean to cup machines go, and the cup quality, especially where milkies are concerned, is among the best I've experienced from a bean to cup, even up there with the likes of the Gaggia Accademia and Bravilor sprso, which are close to £2k. But comparing it with portafilter machines, we're talking about true portafilter espresso vs bean to cup espresso.
      You're never (well, it's doubtful) going to get the same level of extraction from a bean to cup machine with very few grind settings and an automated brewing unit, Vs dialling in using a traditional basket and taking care with puck prep. So it depends on your palate really, if you currently use a pod machine and/or drink a lot of instant, then you'll probably find the Rivelia a big upgrade, especially if you use decent beans - and you can't really get much more convenient than a one touch bean to cup. If you're already accustomed to true portafilter espresso though, although the espresso from this machine isn't a million miles away, it probably won't quite hit the spot, and even with bean adapt you have a limited scope for dialling in. Cheers.

    Thank you for the detailed review. I’m a very keen espresso drinker, how good is the espresso/ Ristretto from this machine? Does it make proper thick créma or does it just air/ make soap like crema? Thanks

    Is there an option to set coffee then milk? All Delonghi's I've had does milk first and I'm not a fan of that order.

    • @ArcaArtem
      @ArcaArtem 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have the same machine. The order of milk depends on the type of coffee you select. For example, with Flat White, you get the coffee first, then milk.

    If I understand correctly, you seem to be saying the hopper switching is pointless if you don't make one-off decaff? Because otherwise, if you're always putting it back into a bag, you've always got an empty hopper. Why have dual?

      I just happened upon this review and I think I've found my next machine that might actually save my marriage*. I like the dark roasted beans especially Monsoon Malabar, while my partner likes the lighter more 'berry' kind. Up to now we've taken it in turns to fill the hopper, being careful not to mix the beans. This would be far handier.
      *joke, marriage is not THAT shaky

      @@mostafamogad6002 What is your question exactly ? Bought this device like 4-5 days ago so I can maybe help you...
      I'm not sure if I understand your question like fully but you dont select how much froth you want on device, you select it on milk container (or lattecrema hot if you wanna call it like that), you got 3 options (wich is 1st - low ammount of froth, 2nd - medium ammount of froth and 3rd - high ammount of froth). I've recently tested "hot milk" and device suggested me to put on 3rd option (high ammount of froth) for best result, and my hot milk ended up with really alot of froth that made is so much better...

      Haha 😆. LOTS of people do have that question, believe me. Some people struggle with sleep if they keep drinking coffee later in the day, and switch to decaf so they don't have to stop. There are some very good decafs these days, here's one: bit.ly/4cuDIhZ 😎
