  • For a year and a half, I had wrist pain that would be diagnosed as "ulnar impaction syndrome," which is when your arm bone is too long and it complicates things in the wrist. My pain was chronic and would not go away, even though I stopped using my wrist for many months. The orthopedic surgeon said I needed an "ulnar shortening," also known as an "ulnar osteotomy" in which my arm bone would be surgically shortened. I made this series of videos to chronicle my recovery to hopefully share a more positive experience with the surgery.
