This would have worked perfectly with mini iPhones
Height wise, yes, but maybe too narrow which inhibits usability
@@toby.2amaybe a t9 version will release
@@toby.2aYeah the keyboard would be comically small
@@davidnguye.n bro do you have any idea how small blackberry keyboards were back then? lmao
@@linsetvexactly. Wouldn’t have been any smaller than an old blackberry
As a user who has had mine for a couple of months, I can tell you a few things. First and foremost, if you are not the type of person who is okay with having to get used to this for the first couple of days, then don’t even bother-this is not for you. However, if you’re like me and nostalgic for the keyboard phones we used to get back in the late 2000s and early 2010s, then you might be the exact person this is made for.
I will start by mentioning some of the things I don’t love or found mildly annoying, just to get them out of the way. The first thing you will notice is the size-it’s a bit tall. Now, in my opinion, it’s not unbearable; I can definitely tolerate it, but not everyone will, so I felt it was appropriate to mention. For context, I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, so yeah, an already large phone being even taller. For me, it’s fine; for you, it’s maybe something to think about.
The next thing you will notice is that it feels like you have to force yourself to use the keyboard over the touchscreen keyboard, and that’s normal. I had that too for the first three days. Just force yourself to use the keyboard over the digital one. After a while, that feeling will disappear.
The third thing you will notice is how it’s a bit top-heavy, making it slightly difficult to type on. That’s where I would recommend an adhesive grip you can attach to the back of the keyboard case. I got one on Amazon from Spigen, and it works great for me. However, I had to use a few drops of super glue because the weight of the phone and using it in bed caused the adhesive to come loose. Since I added some glue myself, it’s been very solid, and I doubt it will ever come off in one piece without breaking.
Anyway, now onto the most important part. I’m going to make this brief. The keys feel really good; they replicate the feeling of the old keyboard phones really well, and you will not be disappointed with the keys themselves. They work and feel perfect.
So here’s what I’d say if you’re considering getting this: give it at least a week before you give up, or don’t bother. I can’t overstate how important it is not to give up too quickly because only after 3-5 days will you actually get used to it and have a decent understanding of whether you like it or not. The first few days will not give a good impression, but that’s not the fault of the product. That’s simply because most of us have been using digital keyboards for more than a decade-our fingers are not accustomed to real keys on phones anymore.
TL;DR: Love the product, but don’t buy it if you’re not patient.
Care to elaborate?
@@TheShnewgennah fr if you gotta elaborate this much for a product… chalk it
No MagSafe is a dealbreaker for me
Would a mag safe sticker not work?
@@Lucas_Antar I don't know how many so called Magsafe stickers you have tried. I have tried plenty.....it does not work as the sticker portion keeps on falling off my phone or it get ripped off whenever I tried to remove the phone from my magnetic mount. It is always the sticker side that fails big time.
@@JCTY299Using the same sticker ring for last 2 years works well ..from ESR!
@@JCTY299you put the sticker on the inside of the case
Saw your comment and didn’t even watch the video no MagSafe no purchase
The phone is already 6.9inch now make it 8 inch wow so much portability
😂
@@Brians_tech that would make even the 16s even longer when they come out
I don’t use the keyboard a lot, but I understand it for people who type a lot on the phone while on the go. Makes sense, I love when manufacturers actually find a purpose for their products and double down on it.
Why would you put all the time effort and money into it and leave out MagSafe charging?
I wish there was a universal version of it for every smartphone
We have gone full circle
😂😂
Just that we have to pay for it in addition to the phone like with the charger... 🤣
Bro at this point you good buying a blackberry
😂
I’m in my late 20s. Everyone had blackberrys. I hated it. People laughed about me getting a iPhone 😂 look at them now 😂
😂😂
I hated those buttons
You really showed them.
@@jd2161 same bro, never got used to it
Blackberries are solid phones
I'm 16, I remember when i was like 7 my older sister had a blackberry q20 and lot of people laughed about Blackberrys and they all started to get iPhones, looking at this rn while lmao.
I remember my sister tried the iPod touch too back then (as it was already the same as the iPhone) and didn't like it, then i had it to play games when she bought and android but then it broke, now we both ended up buying iPhones (i used to have Xiaomi but rn it haves too much bloatware and system apps have ads)
Didn't realize how big it made the phone look. for $160 is krazy for such a campact keyboard that makes it so your phone cannot fit in your pocket and no magsafe. Hopefully more research is being put into this.
Early adopters always end up paying more.
they shud make this for 13 mini would be perfect. also fold 6 :)
This would be awesome for the iPhone mini or 6.1 iPhones, not so much for the Pro Max's.
Couldn't the app be reverse engineered to track keystrokes? Idk, it seems like a possibility nowadays..
If they made a model for 13 -ro max id be pre-ordering in a heartbeat. I really wanted a blackberry priv back in the day and honestly an iPhone that has a physical keyboard would be amazing!
Same :(
I miss the Blackberry days. With the case on it reminds me of a super long Palm Pre lol.
Right 😂
Using the same clicks keyboard case for 15pro love it but MagSafe something needs to be done
huh, I don't really see the appeal of having a physical keyboard, but it does seem like a lot of people in the comments would buy it (if it had a few different things). How curious
love mine so much idk if ill ever use another case brand
I miss the old keyboards so this is a neat idea. I wonder how typing experience is?
Feels just like a blackberry. Keys are a little small but you get used to them.
This would be great for legally blind/blind iPhone users.
Just remember, early adopters usually pay the most for a new product. Adaptive products, are usually uber expensive!
If i like to get more screen real estate in a pocket sized device, i'd go for the Fold instead 😅 this accessory has to deal with a lot of compromise
This is so cool! Don’t know if I could have that big of a case though 🤯
Yeah it’s pretty big lol
21st century without MagSafe? Thanks
Would be good with an iPhone mini I think
Why not do a landscape keyboard like the old sidekick or droid.
Because no one really uses their phone to type in landscape mode. Most people use it in portrait mode so that’s why I think they made it like this
Part of the problem is Apple doesn't actually rotate to landscape mode on the home screen anymore. They haven't ever since they introduced notch.
Best review on clicks so for
Thank you!
If this was for the iPhone mini it would be great. Like can we stop making products only for the latest phones some of us don’t upgrade cause Apple hasn’t given anything to upgrade to
The last BB I used was the Q5. A superb phone. This KB is good but not for the price.
Cool concept I just don’t really see them being able to sell enough to keep it going. Also, do you have any issues with it being very top heavy? Seems like a disproportionate weight.
You know it’s not too bad. I expected it to be, but it’s been pretty good. Sometimes you notice it if you’re holding it with one hand though.
I like this concept, but what if the keyboard was horizontal 🤔
That would be cool, but you would have to always use your phone sideways when you wanted to use the keyboard. So I could see that being less comfortable.
They could try with a horizontal slider keyboard similar to the Xperia phones
Lol 😂, everyone left Blackberry to rot for iPhone and look at them now 😂
😂😂
Can you just put a MagSafe ring inside or would that be too thick and actually inhibit charging?
I think it would be too thick. It would have to be on the back of the case.
@@Brians_tech ok thanks. Was hopeful for a workable solution as lack of MagSafe is a big design oversight.
Why would anyone pay $159 to go back in time?
Since they don't make a different layout apart from english this is very limited outside the US
Or ya know England where English comes from ;)
I've had my clicks for a few months, and I live in a non-English speaking country. It works just fine.
160 usd no thanks!
Did remind me of the old blackberry phones lol
Definitely lol
That seems like a waste of money for me--Use your new M4 iPad with Apple’s new keyboard works way better.
Speaking of waste of money 😉 jk I love iPad with keyboard
The “language” key is idiotic. It should be remapped to “tab”, and the “tab” key should be used for period. There, I fixed it for them 😊
Just use SWYPE as this is going to drain battery and make your phone look ridiculous. They could have used phone case with sliding keyboard (but this generation is getting lazier and lazier trying to get out the product as soon as possible!).
It actually doesn’t really drain the battery. I didn’t have that experience at all
Palm Treo
WILL A 15 PRO MAX FIT IN A 15 PRO CLICKS CASE?
No.
The sound doesn’t seem so satisfying
Damn. Kinda wish that you’d ensured us that even though you’re a fan of MrMobile, you’d still review this with zero bias. Instead, you shouted him out & said you’re a fan, which instantly makes me feel like this is going to be bias. Just a tip for future reviews
Actually, you’re wrong. I am not a subscriber of his, to be honest with you. I’ve seen his videos here and there, but to call me a “fan” is a stretch. I’m a big believer in showing people respect and giving them credit where it’s due. I shouted him out because he’s a fellow creator and came out with a product of his own, which takes a ton of time and resources. This was completely non-bias. I paid for it myself and waited to get it just like everyone else.
Clicccckkksssss
Blackberry Promax
😂😂
The price is wild !!!!! DOE
Early adopters always pay more.
PS1-PS5, XBoxes, etc.......
This is kinda useless the iPhone keyboard it’s perfectly fine and the size of the keys are bigger lol
If Apple maintain it's usual schedule iphone 16 is just 2 months away.... The keyboard is just a nostalgia factor, you can't type as fast as the on screen keyboard and it add extra inches to an already big phone for your pocket, plus the lack of magsafe charging specially in vertical position is a biiiiig let down.
And why is there an app? it's a keyboard, it's fine being P&P HID. What is unclear to me if the app requires to be enable in "accessibilty"... if so I think that is a big red flag for me.
$150 for a nostalgia is just too much, drop the app and I would consider it for $45.
This could make it easier for legally blind/blind folks can use an iPhone.
Plug it into a 15 plus
Yuknow😂
I mean iPhone started without keyboard. So why develop this product lol
ouch! $100
Blackberry Generation has moved on.
no we havent!
It wasn’t as long ago as you might think
My iq drop
$159? lol
They're not even trying to make them for Android
Give it time. This is a startup company, and I’m sure they will make more versions of this keyboard, maybe even for Android in the future if they get enough requests. So, make sure to let them know which phone you want to see it for on their Discord server or send them an email.
Magsafe is overrated
I have to disagree. I use MagSafe so much
Waste of $. Voice text is 100x faster and more accurate. Or swipe . Pointless device
Hater lol
i feel the same way as him
When you got more money than sense
😂😂
I gotta pick these kinds of things up for the channel. I have an accessory channel, some people want to see this accessory. Gotta do my job 🤷🏻♂️
iPhone keyboad is so bad you have to get an external one lol
Nah iPhone keyboard isn’t bad at all. This is just an accessory for those who want a physical keyboard or that nostalgic feeling of having one.
I’ll pass
I got this, not worth the money...
Cute concept. However, I feel the same way. If I want to hold something larger, I want more screen space. Not a keyboard. Now, I don’t type a lot on my phone. If i need to type more than 150 keystrokes, I do it in my iPad or MacBook …
pointles device, it's gonna flop. Way too long. Should have made it fold up into a normal size. who the hell wants a 4" longer case? samsung had a case like this like 4 or 5 years ago and it wasn't long. waste of money. its almost like mr mobile doesn't understand phone cases or the market
I guess we’ll see if he keeps releasing it or not
Absolutely pointless
Dumbest thing I’ve seen in a long time 😂😂
Another day..
Another useless product 😂😂😂😂
Cringe
🤷🏻♂️
Crazy making stuff for a company that's dying out
