Damn, I wish I could get punished into getting an ultimate clear. that would just be the worst. 😔
This story made me feel good. Not because Albert got put down or anything, I just like knowing no matter how cringe I am, I'll never harrass console players or think I'm good for reaching gold in PvP.
This story feels very fake, and if it's real it's a very dumb "punishment" for someone being an ass. Refusing to raid with him further and kicking him from the discord would have been more likely to teach him a lesson than handing him a free TEA clear. Seven people willingly suffered through prog with this guy for what? To beat him in a duel him afterwards? The whole thing is incredibly stupid and is severely exaggerated at best.
So they punished an abusive player by getting him an Ultimate clear?

I've met people in game who talk and think like all of them, and it was just as cringe listening to them as it was this story, these types honestly don't think they can do anything wrong while passing judgment on others. It doesn't seem real or maybe the OP is a bit clueless to how they actually come off to others. IF that part actually happened with the cage, you don't delete clips like that... when you are like them you save it and enjoy laughing about it. Even the casually admitting they use the cheats as if it's nothing is done as well, which is most likely why they won't share a clip of what happened.

Yeah sounds fake. No reason for them to give the guy a clear unless there was some RMT they did not talk about. Also the ending of "then their FC leader kicked them out and linked us their loadstone so they would be permabanned from our discord server even if they name change." Makes no sense because they said they play on different data centers anyways so it's not likely they were going to go out of their way to play together again if they did not get along.
listened to this story on stream and it still sounds fake as heck and i mean to add to it since he got the clear anyways why would he go to the wolves then when he couldv just left the Discord server straight after and avoid all of it and he still got his clear regardless

A good punishment would be to rescue him and then stop DPS to let him watch the clear not happened and then stop raiding with him

Yeaaaaah, game platform doesn't matter when clearing content- it's the player that matters. I'm on PC and know plenty of people that play on console and are sooooo much more skilled with end-game content then i'll ever be. xD

On a side note when I started my ffxiv journey, I was on PS4. I attached a wireless mouse and keyboard to my console so I don’t get the pc vs PlayStation thing if the difference is essentially the controller then have PS users use M+KB? Is that not a thing for PS5?

OP sounds familiar in this story. If it’s who I think it is they left out some details to this story. And judging from the time frame of this happening it must have been around novemberish. If I’m not mistaken the act bot they had was just to call out timers on skills not mechanics. Jake’s idea was all his because he had a ego. Both OP and Christina was being to passive and nice. Albert was being a little bully on them. He had too much storm blood black mage in him. Also I think OP did save a clip of the rescue kill clip. Probably deleted after some time or was told to. The PVP crap was just Jake wanting to bully back. But op being a console player doesn’t cheat and never has. If OP sees this comment you need to clarify some information.

The only time I ever criticise/forcefully suggest someone how to play their job is when I'm healing a clueless tank who is trying their best to make my life difficult without using any mitigation or proper positioning or picking up adds

I feel like the story is plausible given how fickle a lot of people can be in general. Guy was toxic AF but they didn't want to replace him until the clear cuz he was good. They certainly wanted to make a spectacle out of it so the FC leader watching stream could see this guys behavior for themself. So FC lead was in on this too very likely.
The only reason why this happened in the first place was because of the spectacle in the first place. Toxic guy could have just you know... logged out. But it was in a pretty big moment where EVERYONE showed up to watch, and being swept up in the moment he was like "i'll freakin take you on" and then yeah... Young hot-headed energy at its finest. I would have loved to see these duels though.
Anyone who talks shit on console players/PC players using a controller (I'm among the latter, it's just easier for me) is an absolute fool of the highest magnitude. Both controller and mouse + keyboard are equally valid ways of playing the game, and anyone who says otherwise is objectively wrong.

Anyone who gets mad you are not on a PC is using cheat add on. Most people project and when they say blame others they are just telling on themselves. "Console players can't clear," meaning they can only clear with cheats and think everyone is as bad as they are. I have heard "top" players from other games cry "with no add ons how can we beat raids?" @7:22 This group was planning on using cheat add on any way so how can they be called giga chads? I have no respect for anyone in this story. They probably used cheat add ons in PVP.
It said they follow Terms of Service with the exception of ACT. ACT by itself is not a cheat.
I cleared every raid I did on ps4 before actually getting a PC and idk if i got better somehow but my parses got way better. Being able to use logs and ACT without asking others for help makes getting better way easier lol
They said they use TOS with the exception of ACT. Which also needs to be kept to themselves. The OP was on PS5 anyways so where do you get the idea OP cheats? Only Jake and Albert used addons

I didn't get the idea they were cheating, they said in their story. Did you even listen to the story or just jump in the first comment to defend ACT? ACT has other tools not just DPS meters. DPS meter no one should care about those but bot call outs and other tools to make a fight easier is cheating. I am not about to turn this into add on blah blah. I am just restating my opinion on what the OP said. You guys do what ever you want and call it cheating or not but a cheat clear is not a real clear no matter how you try to justify it.

If you can’t give advice to a progress blocker (maybe their dps is too low to clear) the only option is to kick them from the party and never invite them to anything again
