      She is very cunning, you can see when she feels she is on safe ground, she babbles away and tries to lead everyone on a dance of techno babble. She is very knowledgeable when she wants to be. Yet at other times she says "I don't recall seeing that email...." or comes out with "I was trying to understand the situation.... " I hope the CPS are watching this, and I hope she and others will be stars of the show at The Old Bailey.

    What on earth did she do in thirty odd years working for the PO....She didn't know anything. Didn't hear anything. Had nothing to do with anything. Wasn't aware of anything.....Was she on permanent sick leave? Despite been informed in December 2010 that the software provider could manipulate Sub post masters accounts she insists she didn't know!!!! Unbelievable.......If you received an email saying that you'd remember it...Can they make her pay back all the bonuses she took on false pretences.

    This woman may never see - what we would consider to be - consequences for her actions. But every night, when it’s quiet…. When the sun goes down and she lies in bed, trying to turn off her thoughts so she can sleep in peace… there will be, somewhere deep inside her conscience, guilt. Many become well practised at coping with guilt, but one never lives peacefully with it. It’s always there, right until the end. I don’t envy her that. I don’t envy anyone in the postoffice who was involved. The guilt they all carry will haunt them and be a constant reminder - they have blood on their hands.

    Do you think she knows that she is coming across as a liar? On the case of the man who killed himself, the family only had a very short time to make a decision or they would lose that money and the post office would continue to prosecute them for the money they claimed he had stolen. They had this family over a barrel and they squeezed them until they signed.

      Quite how working as an IT Network Manager for the Post Office would have qualified her for a senior HR role at a Football Association is another question.

    I'd like to see a body language expert do a few videos on her see what they make of her. I've been watching and i think she's been coping quite well under questioning. That's not to say i believe a word of it, as i know first hand how well colleagues / bosses can lie and the lengths they will go to to cover things up. The evidence in this case is overwhelming, she was party to the large majority of what was going on and she should be held to account. She'lll just shift the blame onto others and they'll no doubt do the same.

    Every single answer from her so obviously attempts to avoid any liability. Nothing about her responses indicates regret or sorrow for what happened as a result of her own actions - other than regret that she has been found out.
    Total absence of empathy for others, a total absence of conscience.
    Cold, ruthless and appears sociopathic.
    Her testimony, with its spectacular and incredible memory loss in regard to any information which condemns her, strongly suggests that she often lies and obfuscates.
    She constantly blames others for any decisions made and frequently uses the phrase, "This is the first time I've seen that..." (as an alternative to "I don't recall..."), accepting responsibility for nothing - despite being a senior manager and decision maker.

    no winners here, everyone loses something, how tragically sad, not only for the lives of the victimised postmistresses and postmasters, but the summation of this woman's life is her legacy; I don't see an honest acknowledgment of the part she played which ultimately lead to the suicide of at least one person and the ruination of many others. No remorse or admission of culpability sends cold shivers through me, I'm trying not to feel rage at this, but I do.

    Around 58:38 there is an email in 2013 where they discuss a Change Request (ie a change in the functionality of the software) so it displays different ID's if the transaction was made by the system and not the operator. This is techno babble, to say it clearly, if a system makes random transactions BY ITSELF then I would say that is a bug. These people have titles such as "Distinguished Engineer" and "Business Applications Architect" yet he is asking what is the process for getting a report layout amended??? I get the impression the PO honchos were more like a group of ruthless corporate pirates who blagged their way into top positions yet had no idea and very little interest in how things should be done correctly and ethically. All they cared about was image and dosh. Absolutely horrendous. This van den Bogerd is extremely cunning, knows how to babble away and pretend she was an unwitting accomplice. She does not fool me at all.

    • @fgrsimon
      @fgrsimon 21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      It's not necessarily a bug for the system itself to make updates to data. There would be a central 'batch job' that would run overnight each night, performing calculations and updates from that day's processing. However if these updates were not distinguishable from updates made by the Post Office (or Fujitsu) staff during working hours, that would certainly be a problem.
