I just can't get over the musical tone they used in this trailer... the feeling of despair, lost, and hopelessness as the unit desperately try to put down the tank unit. Absolutely beautiful..! ^0^
AGREED! The music in this game is gonna go so hard. Which is crucial to the feel of a game. I'm so glad that every element of the game we've seen so far is on point. I have strong GOTY vibes, if only mecha was more popular...
My running theory is that you are confirmed to be 621, but 621 is also 617. The shape of the AC post core detonation looks good enough to salvage a dead pilot, or at least near dead pilot, from and then have whisked back to Walter to get pumped full of coral and whatever else and broght back to life. The AC being serviced overhead the operating table has the same head unit used by C17 in the sortie, which would imply that you are the same pilot. I would wager that Walter is one cruel character with his hounds being lobotomized pilots he just scoops back up from the battlefield and makes them into relentless pilots who aren't held back by death. And even that doctors mention of an "inventory" would lead me to believe Walter just runs a team of reanimated corpses into battle.
I don't think 617 is 621 because 617 was still alive at the end of the trailer with "Reporting to handler Walter. Mission Complete". Most probably 621 got pulled out from cold storage after the mission but not 100% functional.
@@DanzIndz Agree, also why would he say thank for clearing my inventory? If he was 617 doc would rather say stop bringing half dead hounds here my inventory is full He`s clearing his inventory , witch means he keeps buying corpses from him

@@absurd.gamingyea, I also noticed that the guy in the trailer at the start(not Walter) has the same voice as the guy in trailer who says “Callsign raven, priority subject for elimination, high on the list” this brings up a lot of theories as to why our creator would now want us dead, for example maybe we break free of Walters shackles and now our original creator wants us dead as our model is “defective” it is not supposed to defy orders and gained some sort of sentience beyond being a killing machine.

@@astraiza yeah, i forgot about those ones, specially the soldiers from last raven but the point is that its very rare to see humans in the armored core games, most of the time are shadows or vague figures of one
A few thoughts occur to me: 1. The 617 vs 621 thing sounds like a Zudah* situation. Where Walter is claiming 621 is a new Hound, when they're actually a refurbished older unit. (The use of 'wake _it_ up' is intentional I think.) This could tie into the 'why hide behind another's call sign?' from the earlier trailer. 2. The significance of the big beam weapon installation might be a call back to several previous titles. More than just the original Armored Core had a final mission of disabling a massive weapon before it could do horrible damage to the world. Silent Line had it's orbiting beam satellite for example, where they threw every Raven they had at it. The implication being that our player character was the 'survivor' of such a mission. If you can call that surviving. This might be why Walter salvaged 621 (and presumably presented them as 621 instead of 617.) for the Rubicon mission. 3. It might be a case that the C4 in 'C4-621' refers to the 'pilot' and 621 is an AC number, hence with 617 being swapped from the broken core to the working 621 their 'name' changes. *Referring to Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO, where a failed competitor to a successful mech was falsely called a new weapon in testing.
The C4 seems to come from the C4 Architecture branding on the core. But squad alpha each have their own alphanumeric designation as well in the battlemap clip. So you might be on to something there. Its really hard to evaluate all the clues

@@Shattered_Skies Probably it is the codename/callsign Walter used "Cerebral/coral" unit 4? I remember in the gameplay. Another AC pilot asked "Why hide behind another's callsign?"
