The convo about whether Armored Core are souls-likes are all from those who's never played any. Comparisons to Souls games, just because it shares broad design strokes like weight limit and stamina, gives a skewed idea of what Armored Core is to those who haven't tried it. It's a lite-simulation of mission-to-mission vehicle combat.
I remember getting S rank in the 1v6 mission. There is a trick where with the right build and weapon you can clip your weapon through a specific corner in the outer walls and shoot them all from a safe position. It's definitely cheesing the mission, but you have to have unbelievable skill to legitimately take out 6 mechs without getting beat up in the process.
We may get more details about the game during Summer Game Fest 2023 in June. After you finish analyzing the trailer, I have found some exclusive details from the post here: th-cam.com/users/shortsyr2_zXSjQm8
gen 4 was my favourite exept the lazer blades were a bit busted tbqh but i would like to try gen 5 out again because at the time my internet was dogshit so i had a lot of issues with the game because of that shame no armored core game is available exept emulated
@@mremotionless1663 It not half as bad as people make it out to be. It does everything right, wall boosting is fun AF. The only real mark against it was the balancing, but it was tackled in ACVD. I'm the guy who will get up on the soap box and insist that the reason we had to wait 10 years for AC6 is because people review bombed ACV to hell and back after Demon Souls and Dark Souls already were world wide hits with millions of sales each. Armored Core was niche at barely over 300k sales at its peak. Review bombing and boycotting a niche franchise is exactly how to insure another one won't get made.
Unfortunately for me, the AC games stopped being released right when I really got into gaming. I've played most of the Fromsoft titles since DS3 was released but never managed to get my hands on an AC game, even though I'm a Mecha fan (most mecha games are too slow for my taste). I'm so Unbelievably excited to try this out, already preordered.
Personally the problem with 5th Gen is not the gimmicks like Wall Jumps(Which seems to come back as Reverse Joint only thing), Tank Buffs(They were Charger Attacker but not ACTUAL Dash Chargers that can Drift and keep ground momentum), Hover(Litteraly no one use Quad in AC5 and VD), and Scan Mode The gimmicks are handled properly but gameplay itself was unnecesarily rough that even AC1 and AC2 look more polished than AC5 I do like Verdict Days Non AC bosses last much longer than For Answer bosses and does more things than those in 3rd gen and before but the overall Missions of the game were not great Compared to For Answer which is FAST but Weighty unfortunately the missions ends way too fast 3rd Gen has the best Missions ESPECIALLY Silent Line having the most lengthy ones and only thing held it back are the AC balance Vs Mission balance are all over the place, still easier than Last Raven tho
The 5th generation's fatal wound was when the staff had to change course because of the success of the dark souls. Judging from the early publicity and the checkpoints of the first few missions, ACV should be an action shooter with as much emphasis on unhindered & smooth as COD's single-player mode. th-cam.com/video/j_yaU_ZM-nA/w-d-xo.html However, the success of the Dark Souls made NBGI willing to increase sponsorship. The premise is to launch a game that is as popular worldwide as Dark Souls. This forced ACV to emphasize multiplayer content. Such changes have many sequelae. The first is that the picture update is low and unstable, and even 30FPS cannot be maintained. Second, the so-called 5vs5 is actually a gimmick, and one of them is an operator, which means that ACV's infrastructure simply cannot handle 10 players at the same time, and 8 is the limit. ACVD improves this, and the method is simple: the background model and shielding are much streamlined, and there is no longer the city in ACV. Finally, there is the scan mode and 3 types of ammo (KE, CE&TE) that many players complain about. Considering that the staff found that ACfA turned into an aerial dog fight that made the terrain meaningless, there was nothing wrong with relying on Scan Mode and 3 types of ammo to get players back to tactics, But as mentioned earlier, they should be built for single-player mode, which can be said to be chaotic in multiplayer mode. Although players can rely on high-impact weapons to make opponents stumble, thereby reducing their opponent's defenses, the publicity is insufficient and only a few avid players know about it.
You could always just watch the vaati vidya deep dive for this vid if you want some other details with a splash of speculation.
Second that. totally recommend it.
Though if you want lore definitely watch Armored Core Lore's channel instead of Vaati. The guy knows his stuff.
They already said the game is focused on single player campaign and arena multiplayers

His voice.. reminds me about Otsdarva and Thermidor
That tank looked fast and took some tight turns! I've never played any of it, idk what I'm talking about 😂
nice reaction 😁
Thanks bro, tanks tend to be heavy and ground mobile they can store the big fucking guns :)
That tank drifted. None of the Tank legs did that in previous titles.
@@SoulbreakerNB that is true, is that actual gameplay tho or a cinematic??
hard to tell
I've only played since the 4th on the ps3. I must admit, I'm awaiting this game more as the next game "from the director of Sekiro" than a new AC.
I am also a armored core veteran and I can’t wait to battle you bro, this game is gonna be amazing
Hell yeah bro

Easiest way I found to do it was laser blading all of them but highest rank I got was like A or something

I do like Verdict Days Non AC bosses last much longer than For Answer bosses and does more things than those in 3rd gen and before but the overall Missions of the game were not great
Compared to For Answer which is FAST but Weighty unfortunately the missions ends way too fast
