    this was fantastic. I've been procrastinating figuring this out and that procratination was rewarded with this video's release. many many thanks

    my mind is blown 🤯, but not for the reasons you think. I had no idea that 'curve to points' sets the point radius to the curve radius. that's so useful, and good to know 👍.

    It's really cool. This is exactly the shader I've been wanting~ I'll put it to good use, thank you.

    this is brilliant. So many neat little tricks along the way! I tried something like this a few days ago and got completely stuck. Thankyou.

    Thank you so much for the inspiring work you're doing, and even more for your decision to share it online. Besides this video, which is very interesting, when I discovered your work I almost felt like crying: I've been trying to do what you're doing for almost seven years, failing again and again, and to finally have access to these possibilities almost doesn't feel real to me. Of course I had to buy your kit and it never ceases to amaze me...
    One curiosity what is your technical background? I would like to understand how these huge node trees work, but I don't even know what kind of math I should study ahaha

      My technical background is actually in fine art with a BFA and MFA but focused a lot on digital 3D. I was never actually taught geometry or shader nodes. It was more just something that I picked up as I continued to learn 3D.
      A group that drastically helped me was Erindale’s discord. He is a geometry nodes TH-camr. His tutorials and help on projects was huge. Especially when I was first starting. I couldn’t have done this without his help.

    Great Video. Could you make another video, or just explain here how to flatten this line art into camera space like you did in your line art modifier? I need this feature for the artstyle of my future projects. Thanks!

      Hey! I actually explain in basics how to do it in this video

    this is incredible, thank you for the tutorial!! would line boil be too heavy to add to this method?

    • @Tradigital
      @Tradigital  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That shouldn’t be taxing at all. I would just use a set position node on the curves and then control them with a noise texture to determine how much it jitters.

    could you share a high quality screenshot of the node tree? I want to make sure I set everything up correctly

    How can this be altered to work with an orthographic camera?

  • @Yan_Wiah

    Greetings. An excellent addon, worth the money.
    But there is very little information about how to paint lines. Is it possible to make a multi-colored stroke on one object and conveniently control this process?
    Rainbow lines? Сolor change depending on the distances of the object? Сolor of line depend on the texture of the object?

    • @Tradigital
      @Tradigital  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So yes, all of this is technically possible. Most is just going to require Geometry Nodes knowledge.
      The only one that isn’t quite possible is the texture one. The only way to pull the colors is if you bake the textures to a vertex group and then use that vertex group to control the colors. If you check out my other video on the line art modifier, I show you how to make that work.

    Do you know what functionality is missing is using the camera in orthographic view, I could not configure the scene in that view

    • @Tradigital
      @Tradigital  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It currently does not support orthographic. I do plan on implementing a change in the future with it though.

  • @AephVeyniker

    This is not going to work with complex scenes.

    • @LawrenceAaronLuther
      @LawrenceAaronLuther 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you can always apply the geonode modifier to "bake" the line art
