I do like that the RE line is giving us rather obscure mobile suits, but it's kind of funny this was on one of the most popular series, in the main universe, piloted by arguably THE mobile suit pilot outside of maybe Char, and this mobile suit has received very little love from Bandai. how strange.
Arrowdodger and not just bandai, the Dijeh just isn't that well known. Probably because all the main battles happen in space and Amuro and his Dijeh are owning on the ground, off screen. So everyone kinda forgot about it =/
***** I think the only time I remember it fighting on-screen was didn't it take part in one of the battles against the Psycho Gundam? I think he also briefly fought off Jerid in his Gabthley, but I could be remembering wrong
Arrowdodger I don't think he ever fought Jerid in his Gabthley(maybe the Byarlant?) and indeed took part in the battle on the Kilimanjaro. I think that and the Dakar speech(Amuro might've fought Jerid and his Byarlant here) are the only times the Dijeh got any on screen action.

Very little screen time in Zeta, but it shows up again in Narrative and UC Engage has some great cutscenes with Amuro piloting the Dijeh. It's also gotten multiple Robot Spirits releases (including the one in new Amuro Rick Dijeh colors about to release!) and a modern HGUC. There's also a cutscene with the Rick Dijeh in UC Engage and it shows up in Moon Gundam. It's taken some time, but I'd say the Dijeh has finally gotten a fair shake considering its strange design and limited screen time in Z. I'll never complain about getting a recent 1/100, 1/144, and even a Robot Spirits release for something relatively obscure.
they really made the lineart for this rather awkward looking suit and made it really dynamic. its a really great visual blend of the suits char and amuro used in the one year war, and is a really great companion piece for the hyaku shiki 2.0. thanks for the great review!

So glad to see they fixed the shoulders cuz I pre-ordered my Dijeh cuz I needed it to complete my Zeta shelf and just had to have it. But I need to wait a bit and install another shelf first cuz the shelf is currently over crowded.
I've always liked this design but, even after all this time, I have a hard time associating it with Amuro. Guess I'm used to him using Gundams and not monoeye suits.
are we sure the pegs on the bazooka are not invisible? Looks really cool with just panel lining and decals, you did a nice job. Just a little let down by the beam toothpicks.
Wait, why does the Gelgoog have blue beam blades? I am not too bothered by the beam naginata, but I do get where it bugs you. I still will probably display it with that if I get it, just for the hell of it. This design has grown on me, and I like that it kind of compliments the Hyaku Shiki 2.0, brothers in arms.

Hey can you just swap the whole beam naginata with the gelgoog? By that I mean not try to mod the gelgoogs blades onto the dijehs handles, but actually taking the whole weapon and beams of the gelgoog and giving it to the dijeh. Does it fit into the dijehs hands and back holder area?

Evidence for "just the story": We've got the Mk V in Robot Damashii form very recently, and a Zeta Plus A1 in kit form, while the games stopped putting plot elements from Sentinel after SD G Generation if I remember correctly. Then again, there's a conspiracy theory that the Zeta Plus A1 "Unicorn Version" was just Katoki tweaking his own design as a serial-number-file-off of the original Sentinel design; and the Silver Bullet was made a stand-in for the Mk V. But it's just a conspiracy theory.

I'd say it's a little more Hizack than Zaku, but that's be being pedantic, since they're so similar, it basically just being a "Hi-Zaku" even in name origin. Zaku 2.5, if you will, even if it's sort of more like a Zaku II and GM's baby as far as its guts were concerned.

its not a no grade its a RE1/100 its pretty much a Mastergrade thats build difficulty is comparable to an HG or non-grade.
