It's such an odd design but in the right pose, at the right angle, all of the lines in the silhouette that normally clash line up and it looks fantastic. This one's been on my desk with an action base ever since I built it, it's one of my favourite HGs ever
Bandai have been slaying it with the HGUC kits. Recently picked up the Revive Qubeley and it really blew my mind with how it's a HG kit with movable fingers. Was looking at the Dijeh as another kit to pick up soon and this review has sold it to me. Will definitely be picking one up soon. Thanks for the awesome review Zack!!
For some reason, all my Qubeley consistently tear at the left torso poly cap that serves as the socket for the ball of the left shoulder. Now they all sag on the left arm, and I have to prop them up with clay.
What I don't understand is how sometimes Bandai will implement something new into a kit (like the awesome shoulders on this kit) but will almost never apply it to any other HG again. Like if something works for a kit and everyone liked it why wouldn't you add it to anything ever again?
Im guessing the kits with the new features were designed a while back only to see how well the community takes them. Since designing them from scratch can take a hella long time, it might be a while before theyre standardized into the line.
The shoulders were first used on the Zeta Revive kit, then after the Barzam was released every new mold kit, save for the Narrative, has used these style of shoulders.
the difference is the zeta's balljoint was on the chest,but the efreet and galbaldy's is in the torso. the Destiny uses the Zeta gundam type so it has less articulation
Ever since I saw that the re-100 had gundam eyes as well as the monoeye I've been planning on doing a rx-78 color scheme for it. Looking at this, I think this is a nicer Dijeh, but the Re-100 works better for a Gundam repaint.
I might get one of these now. The design is odd, I never really liked it, but after seeing the engineering that went into this kit, I have a new appreciation for the Dijeh.
I have both the old Zeta and the new Zeta, and I couldn't get either Hyper Mega Launcher to fit on the shoulder like the Fix figure. I was able to fit it a different way... so you CAN fit it on there, just not the "canon" way. Also, while the "trigger" hand holds the Hype Mega Launcher handles just fine, the normal hands cant hold the handles at all. So its extremely difficult to pose.
If you're planning on buying this kit, be careful when handling the heat wings on the back, the dark blue outerframe is very fragile as I when I was building mine I dropped it from a desk height and snapped off the antenna bit, I fixed it with super glue but still. Solid build but personally I hate the front skirts.
The wiki says it's a type of multi use gun originally meant to imobilze MS's, but is just as good for explosive rounds and scatter-shot. I really like that pose because it reminds me of when Amuro rolls up on his Dodai and dose a from the hip drive by.
It's funny to think that nobody can decide if the slot in the head is a camera or vent, I had a look on Google, and it remains REALLY inconsistent as to what it is. Is it open? Closed? Shiny?
HG kits has always been more about anime faithfulness in terms of overall design, while others scales tends to be more independent and creative. RG for example is all about "if this is made IRL".

I always thought it was kinda funny how Amuro gets kinda pouty about not being allowed to pilot the Mk2, as Quattro tells him that Kamille is "used to it." When Amuro begins to pilot again, he gets the most Zeonic looking suits in the AEUG's arsenal, the Rick Dias and the Dijeh. The colors seem more accurate in the high grade to the anime. But I have to say, the Damashii Narrative Ka Signature version looks way better in the Narrative color scheme.

Z’gok could definitely use a revive but the hg dom and hg gelgoog are already really good, they have excellent articulation and visuals and even have moving mono eyes

I'm a huge fan of the Dijeh's head a lot. Overall I do like how the Dijeh looks. A Rick Dijeh would be lovely to see.

Galbaldy Beta uses the same shoulders and they are awesome. The design actually gives better shoulder articulation that a lot of master grade kits

I absolutely loved this kit. Sadly the mega launcher doesn’t fit snug with the adapter. Great review once again!

They say couples like mimicking each other. Char got in a gundam, amuro got in a mono.

You should be able to! Filing down the mono eye might leave a small hole in the center. If so, just fill it with a bit of putty
