Happy to hear that! Lots (and I do mean LOTS!!!) more to come! Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. We can't do this without you guys watching, so thank you for the support.
CDN Owner - absolutely love my '23 GT Pkg 2. Knock on wood - no problems over 40k KMs. Absolutely appreciate the improvements but just can't bear to pay for the upgrade. I wear my EV Enthusiast T-shirt with pride. Thanks for the videos!
I've hankered after an EV6 for the last 20 months. I've bitten in the bullet and gone for a 2025 GT Line s, AWD with heat pump. Now awaiting a tow bar (just available) and delivery. What you and most reviewers always seem to miss is the towing capacity. This new edition now ups the towing capacity from 1600 kg to 1800 kg. Absolutely brilliant. Nothing can match that with its other attributes. Should be able to add 140 miles range when towing or 200 miles solo in 10 minutes! I hated the headlights when I first saw them but they have grown on me. I now think the old one looks a bit old hat!
After having my EV6 Gt lineS then GT. i first saw this in pictures and said NO. However after seeing it in the flesh and with a few new colours, especially the crayon colour. I was sold. Plus they have definitely made improvements on the inside. No bloody piano black🙏🏻🙌. But steering wheel, infotainment and the Merdian improvement in the bass. Has made a difference. Huge amount if room at the back. My son is 6ft and he has loads of room in the back. I will be upgrading but as I have a GT, I will be swapping to the new GT. Who doesn’t want 640hp and paddle change simulated gears in your life. It basically will be Kia’s version of the Ioniq5N. Plus over the air updates Good vid and love your reviews. 👍 by the way unless you are really tall as well over 6ft it is not a problem at all. Remember it’s usually legs that are longer and loads of leg space in the front and back. So definitely not a problem. By the way in Scandinavia heat pump is standard and the GT line S, doesn’t exist. It is the GT Line but it has all the S specifications. I think Kia took the piss in the UK there.
I’ve got one of the previous gen EV6 GTs It’s been brilliant for 25000 miles. I can’t see a reason to upgrade, though it’s good they’ve made small improvements. I have wireless Apple CarPlay with a dongle. The bass can be improved with an aftermarket subwoofer. Fewer hard plastics is good though the original is not bad. For me, the range is more than enough I’ve only used fast chargers 6 times in the past 12 months Overall it’s a stunning car and sounds like it’s even better.
I have the GT line S AWD with heat pump from early 2023 and have done 28k miles in all weathers and conditions and absolutely love the car, having said that i have had the 12v battery replaced under warranty. Looking at this facelift they have completely failed to address the main issues. I prefer the old headlights prefer the old steering wheel. They should have replaced the 12v battery with a AGM or and sorted our the ICCU charging. Should have added rear wiper, should have replaced door handles. Other internal changes and battery upgrade are good but cosmetic. I will not be upgrading but sticking with my MY23 model thanks.
Speaking as an owner of an old Kia EV6, I think this is an improvement; more range, faster rapid charging and less shiny black plastic, but the old one looked better. Speaking as someone who drives an EV6 every day in all weathers, I think it does need a rear wiper. The question a lot of EV6 drivers will be asking is have Kia finally fixed the ICCU problems and 12volt battery problems?
I’m glad you mentioned the head room I’m 6’1” but have short legs and long body and my head was rubbing against the headliner when I test drove it. I didn’t notice this when I test drove the Gen 1 EV6 though. When I mentioned it to the lady at the dealership she seemed surprised and said “you can lower the seat” I said to her I know it was in its lowest setting and I’ve got the Niro EV I know how the seats work.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Just a few weeks after this review I drove the new Air trim which has a different wheel, and I also drove a single motor GT Line from the UK to Lille in France and I have to admit, it was beautifully quiet. Kia have done a lot to up the refinement. Really good car.
I have a 2022 EV6 GT Line S Runway Red. Like the changes inside, had already covered the piano black centre console and door Pulls in a Matt finish which I much prefer. Much prefer old headlights, new ones are like a Seat Ibiza ! Good that it’s now got Apple Airplay wireless. Won’t be upgrading
I find the night time coverage of my 2023 EV6 somewhat lacking, I note in Bjorn Nyland’s review of the revised EV6 the coverage has improved significantly.
All worthwhile upgrades, but I prefer the original headlights. I know they’re trying to carry it through from their newer models, but they look too fussy on the EV6, like a “trying too hard” Chinese car. Shame they didn’t change the bloody annoying door handles..the only thing I really dislike on my 2022 model.
I think you have an issue with the steering wheel because you’ve seen it on the EV3 and EV9 first. I actually prefer it to the previous 2 spoke version. Although it’s a curvier car there are plenty of angular elements to the interior like the head rests to compliment the new wheel. I actually like the 2 tone effect to break it up. Maybe as somebody suggested it would get grubby but if it’s a wipe clean material it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. The front end revisions to the lights, I’m not sure either. Sort of more futuristic but a bit too fussy. I’d imagine a completely revised EV6 which follows the EV3/9 angularity a bit more isn’t that far away though?
I’ve recently replaced my 2023 AWD EV6. The EV6 was a fabulous car spoilt by awful software. It was like buying a lightning fast , top of the range computer featuring all the latest bells and whistles, then trying to run it using windows XP.
Thinking about ordring a new EV6 fully loaded. Tested and found that in my mother tongue (swedish) I can't use the voice assistant to navigate to a certain address if it isn't saved as a favourite. Is this possible in english? Have had an MB EQC for almost 4 years now and are using that function often. Perhaps not a deal breaker but feels a bit cheapish...
I just got a 2024 EV6 and I love it. I do like the new look of the 2025 but I am hapopy that the changes are not so massive that I feel I amissing out. I don’t. PS. I got a good deal on the 2024 due to new 2025 release.
Charging point is in the worst possible location should be at the front or nearside rear. Where it is now makes it awkward for using Tesla chargers or any other for that matter.
Have had my new Ev6 since last March (last model) and very little difference. Had a heat pump but never needed it as always charge cheaply at home. Love my car and came from Range Rover sport. Looking at loads of forams and many don't like how they have changed the front.
for me the front of the old one was definitely better. clean and neat. maybe a bit aged now. but it did the job. the new front is a bit of an overkill. it’s still acceptable but not very graceful. also i’m not a fan of those tortured front lights that we see more and more in some cars. like for example renault mégane etech which looks to me very similar. kia is moving to some very controversial designs with the ev3 and ev9. let’s say that at least they didn’t completely ruined the ev6 which was was a nice looking car
EV6 GT owner here. I don’t really like the new front, the old one is much more coherent with the rest of the car. The new interior is better. Range and charging speed have only incremental gains so in the end, not upgrading for this one, especially because of the huge depreciation that would prevent me from getting the top of the range, I’d loose too much in the trade. Those EV6 are definitely too expensive now.
Me too, I’m happy either way my gen 1 GT It really doesn’t need any more power and I doubt I’d use the fake gears, I like that the performance is linear unlike my Ferrari. They’re amazing cars even for £60k
Love my 2025 gf line s, I wasn't sure about the front end but totally grown on me. Frunk wise, I managed without one for years, do we need it now, no, but you can get vehicle to load adaptor, tyre kit, and more in there
The heat pump seems to be a political thing for KIA. In the German EV6 version, you're forced to get the heat pump if you want any of the extra packages. You want the assist package? Need a heat pump. You want the sound system? Not without the heat pump!
If my wallet was fatter a GT line s would be on our drive, for now a 2024 kona Nline S ev is our family car. The EV6 has always turned my head (especially fron the rear) facelift or not.

The interior of this one combined with the front of the previous would be my preferred combination.

I'm 6'2'' and can't fit in the top of the range version with sunroof
Was that with or withour sunroof? I was eyeing a used EV6, but I'm around 193cm.
@ it was with the pan roof, I won’t be having one.
ATM I’m leaning towards the Ionic 5N
Brilliant, answers my question on boot space, ty
I'm 6'3 and I have no problem fitting in to my EV6, since my legs are long I have to sit further back where to roof is actually higher
Always liked these, but imo, these days the heat pump should be standard fit in drive towards efficiency.
I loved this video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching.
Good review. I'm warming to the new headlights but the new steering wheel looks old-fashioned to me. I like the sportier look of old one a lot more.

Great review as always and the EV6 is close to the top for sa new one in 26 !!
I hate to think how much it's going to cost to replace those headlights if they get damaged
It would be really good to get a like for like set of figures for say the EV6 with and without heat pump?

25:11 I'm glad I'm not the only one who think the EV6 seats look like E.T. 😂

I am looking forward to the Kia Commerical Vechicals based on the PBV platform. An EV Version of the classic Kia Kei Truck.

Our BYD Seal Premium RWD and loaded - on road... less than £30k ($A59) in FTA Australia The base EV6 in Australia is $A20k greater. Unaffordable.
What's with the white sections on the steering wheel....! It will just become grungy and discoloured from use, despite regular cleaning.
Are they trying to mimic the VW EV white steering wheel and dash installed on some?? Hate the idea myself too.
for me the front of the old one was definitely better.

I agree, I think the front of the older model is more beautiful. They should have changed the design of the back instead.
Me too, I’m happy either way my gen 1 GT

Changes made to the EV6 front are less admirable than the original design.
Love my 2025 gf line s, I wasn't sure about the front end but totally grown on me.

The new gt will have the ionic 5 technology.
Front is a step backwards
If my wallet was fatter a GT line s would be on our drive, for now a 2024 kona Nline S ev is our family car.
The EV6 has always turned my head (especially fron the rear) facelift or not.
They should have changed the back. The front was beautiful but the back is really ugly:p
Most KIAs are pug ugly. Overly designed.
