Hi, I drive a 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 long range, my wife drives a 2020 Grandland. Having had a 2021 Peugeot 2008 GT I like the way the Stalantis group has done its styling. I think this new Grandland looks very good and the 2025 larger battery is making me think about this next time. Also love the colour ! Cheers Mike
Thank you for the detailed review. I think the conclusion would be, it's fine. It's only the list price that makes it appealing. There are some great deals including £5,000 off an ID4 on a PCP and 0% finance. List price is just one part of the picture
A great review despite the weather. I actually didn’t mind the car park setting. Personally I think this is going to make a great mobility card too. We need more vehicles like this which offer the space the disabled drivers need. If you have decide for children and the family even more. Like you, I would like to see a little bit more dynamism from the Vauxhall. Not all disabled drivers hate driving some of us love it. So slightly sporty response from the car would be very welcome. I would expect an 0 to 60 time of around seven seconds to be the norm. I would say it’s a handsome car but not pretty. The point is that family buyers will love it which can only be a good thing for the EV industry.
Strange that you mention Saab because the light bar looks like the one they put on the 95 before Saab was deceased. They must have had a load of them hanging around in the parts bin. 🙈
A parcel shelf is an instant negative for me. Why would you want that when you can have a roller blind that you roll out in seconds, if needed and doesn't restrict you when you don't. A parcel shelf just gets in the way and is much difficult to remove and store. One of the reasons I went for the Skoda Enyaq over the Id.4 was exactly that Skoda rightly has fitted a roller blind.
Hi I don't know but assuming you are aware of PiP and the arrangement of advance payments over and above your entitled allowance but the pricing of the Grandland (3,499) does not compete with the Renault Scenic (2,399) I know which I'll be buying! Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!
I guess if you're leasing or pcp then you could consider a Stellantis car but as a private buyer I would expect a minimum 5 year warranty and ideally 7 years like my kia. There's so much to go wrong on an EV.
By all objective measures I agree with Bryan the Grandland appears to be a good to excellent car. However I cannot get excited about it, although the same can be said with all these medium size crossovers/SUVs as they are generally compromised by their weight, especially if the EV version shares the same platform with a ICE version of the same model. The Vauxhall is definitely very good value for money and I certainly prefer to the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 siblings whose i cockpit driving position I could not live with. The Grandland’s exterior styling looks a little bland but I will have to reserve judgement until I have seen one on the road. The Peugeots though look a bit over stylised and awkward to my eyes. At the moment it is Renault (across their range) who IMHO are blowing car styling out of the court and overall I would chose the Scenic over the Vauxhall and Peugeot - and its price competitors. Just sub 10 sec 0-62 mph performance is actually somewhat disappointing. For me them then the Grandland is a car to recommend for someone else’s shortlist but not mine.
I drive a 2024 Grandland hybrid and its is awful! The suspension is so hard it hops, skips and jumps over the smallest of bumps. The leather seats are rock hard as are the side boulsters so hurt my leg. Have done a 1 hour drive and had to stop because my back was killing. My mother in laws wheel chair only just fits in the boot. Luckily this is a motorbility car that I only drive on occasion. If it were mine I would be taking it back to the dealer and saying no thank you!!
The EVDataBase real world range is an awful lot less than the WLTP for this car - 225 miles is pitiful against a more than 320 mile WLTP claim - must have been a lot of heating and masking tape applied in the lab when they did the WLTP test………….
The fashion for shiny black plastic on the parts of the interior that show mark seems to be replaced with shiny black plastic on the parts of the exterior that will show every mark 🤬
Unfortunately a “colored” test. Is it so bad with the European car industry and Stellantis in particular that we swing away and even forgiving things that are not good? Examples: the seat heating is so good, so fast, but you have to turn it off quickly because even at position 1 your rear is toasted. Is that good? No, that’s worthless. A slow screen is a slow screen. Do you think so too? Then that could be because of your eyes or your interpretation of time! And cheap plastic junk is cheap plastic junk.
May I suggest it's your own slanted view that's the issue ,the put the boot in as it's a vauxhall regardless whether it's a decent car or not I have driven this car and never having owned a vauxhall it was a cleensheet meet for me ,plastic junk nowhere near ,yes some scratchy plastics but a whole world away from my other halfs ID3 which is awful ,I didn't find the seat heating as ferocious as mentioned but it can be switched off even if so ,a bit petty really considering the likes of BMW as a lot of money to even fit these So yes I have an order in for one and my Audi is going and I am delighted ,it's paint finish is superb and the dash and seats are fab ,it's a lot less expensive than German makes and in fact it's made in Russelhiem, sorry I disagree with you but each to their own ,I assume you have a Mercedes or similar and have never sat in a new grandland
@@alanramsay463 I have driven Opel from 1979, to my full satisfaction. In 2023 I wanted to start driving electrically and Opel/Stellantis does not have a suitable car for that. As is well known, the European car industry is unfortunately street lengths behind Tesla, my current car. My criticism, which I also started with, mainly concerns the test. The test is colored and I think that’s a shame.

Great looking a big improvement. Great review too! Merry Christmas 🎄 and. a Happy new year🎉
"Smaller (boot load) than a Škoda Enyaq but that is a huge car" "a millimetre longer than the Škoda Enyaq"

Big improvement, well done Vauxhall. Same price as a Corsa! Good contender in the class, although I’d still take a Scenic.

Looks like a great option!
Did you choose your jumper and shoes to work with the colour of the Grandland?

36 mins. 210 PS is not 213 HP. Another anonymous looking SUV I'm afraid.
The Renault Scenic is far better.
I do prefer the Scenic myself, but the Grandland is very good.
I liked the scenic, when I was choose, bit that deep boot put me off.

Does the Grand land come with a 4+4 .
Not at the moment. Dual motor one is coming though.
Also comes with different badges
Does it have one peddle driving
Based on all the videos that I've watched it doesn't. it has 3 stages of break gen, but even level 3 is not very strong.

They just need to make the the financing affordable and I think it will be successful
Great review however when it comes to price. If you want this car, in the spec you need, it pushes into the Luxury car tax bracket which is ridicules.

Nice review. Don't like the Vauxhall Grandad though

They need to change that name. I can't help but see "Grandad" when I read "Grandland"

They love black, don’t they. 🏴

I can't seem to like the latest Opel/Vauxhall design. The Mokka was Just about oké.
With this type of poor review I'm not wondering why your channel never grow up and Stick to 35k subscriptions
Sorry you didn’t enjoy it.
