In my experienced, when you're a young woman, way too many middle-aged men assume basic politeness is flirting. (I've learned it's very age-dependent because it stopped when I hit my mid-late 30s and started looking like an actual adult, not a perpetual teenager.
I almost think thats worse 😅 im glad that you dont have to deal with that anymore but its kind of gross that middle aged men *stop* flirting when you look like an adult rather than start.
You can have aunts that are younger than you. Like, if there's a big age gap between your parent and their younger sibling, and your parent had you on the younger side, you could actually be older than your aunt. It's possible.
Storytime re : we're never the only gay person in a friend group. A few years ago I came out to my friends (group of 4 including me) thinking I was the token gay friend and in like the following year or so, the situation was reversed and we have 1 token straight girl in our group 😂
I've never really been part of a friend group per say - I'm more just friends with individuals but not necessarily their friends, and they're not really friends with my other friends. Like, none of my friends are friends with each other. I've no idea why it seems to work out like this for me. Anyway, I'm not really "the gay one" of any group, but I definitely have straight friends.
I haven’t watched yet but I saw “how do I say no to my parents” and clicked immediately. I’m in my mid-30’s and still if I say they can’t visit when they’re in town or that I’m not driving home for Christmas because I want to spend it with my own family, small as it is, I’m the bad guy.
I totally agree with the "you don't need to go clubbing to meet queer girls" since I've seen my beloved fiancée for the first time right in my living room, being invited by my roommate of that time. So my advice would be: watch out your living room!!!
For the walker/walking stick I always liked the idea of little charms (like the kind they used to put on phones) to personalize and swap them out depending on your mood and stuff. I’m not sure about the logistics of this, or if it would get in the way of function, but it could either be sweet or spicy depending on the charms!
I wonder if stickers would work. I also like the idea of getting together with our sibling and painting it, though we'd have to figure out what type of paint and which spots to paint. When we get a walker we'll have to figure that out

I use a walking pole and I’m trying to work out how to paint it with all the sliding section without it rubbing of 10seconds later cos a black pole is not my vibes. I also need to work out how to transfer the height measurements cos I need them when I collapse and re extend it.

I live in the Midwestern US and I'm a disabled bisexual woman night person so it's hard but high standards can ensure safety and loyalty so it will be worth it!
I was going to suggest doing the sweet/spicy swap for April fools but that might be too soon. So maybe Halloween? Dress up as each other…or a character you love that gives that spicy/sweet style to imitate.
It’s not really a mobility aid, but for my walking stick I’ve tied various colorful ribbons around it and left some of the ends loose so they move in the breeze very prettily!

meeting other queer women can be hard because so frequently we find our friends and partners from the same pool of folks. queer friendship is *vital* to me and there is just this confusion of meeting anyone with like, oh, is this person going to see me as a potential friend, a potential romantic interest, possibly both, possibly neither? my current friend group is very queer and luckily no one has been romantically entangled. i have also been the lone gay in a friend group before--i have a straight older sister, all of her friends from school are straight (therefore everyone i know locally), and i was the little sister tagging along my whole life, through all through school and university and into adulthood. making my own queer friends was lifechanging for me.
For the question on how or where to find other queers to date: I don't know how many things they do but the Danish LGBT+ association has like events, and try to set up more spaces and daytime events for people to get friends and connections, so maybe look into your local LGBT+ groups and maybe be a part of the planning? Plan a hangout and see if there is people interested to join :)

I bought cobwebs and a severed arm to decorate my walker for Halloween. I would then dress myself up as a zombie and put a blue tooth speaker in the basket to play The Walking Dead theme song... but then I ran out of spoons. I did take a single rainbow bunting and zip tie it to the front of my walker for pride month. For a walk through light show, I wrapped lights around my wheel chair, I felt extra festive and more likely to be seen low to the ground and at night.
Me a non binary bisexual with almost only straight friends in my friend group (they are great about it though). I am really bad about finding queer spaces irl. I have a few online spaces and friends. But not irl. I have gone to queer bars a few times but there are always only middle aged men. I found one trans support group but they turned out to be very abelistic so that didn't work out either. I am gonna try out Jessica's advise on finding activities though but tips are welcome.
