I remember my first Christmas here after being stationed at KAFB. One of my squadron mates was from here and invited me to his parents house for Christmas dinner. I had never heard of some of the food they had, but I have always been willing to try anything at least once. OMG! The food was amazing! The pozole, red chile gravy, and tamales! It was all so new and so delicious. I hope I thanked the Garcia family enough for taking in this boy from Nebraska and sharing their traditions.
