  • In this video I'll take you around Bangkok's กรุงเทพมหานคร amazing Chinatown (Yaowarat), along with it's historical and picturesque sub-district of Talat Noi ตลาดน้อย.
This isn't just another street food tour video, there's plenty of those already! This is all about exploring the sights and the places, and getting a real feel for the life of the area.
We'll start in Talat Noi, a historic ethnic Chinese-Thai community area that's becoming a popular tourist destination with it's Instgram perfect spots and street art combined with traditional life. From churches like the The Holy Rosary Church, also known as Kalawar Church วัดแม่พระลูกประคำ กาลหว่าร์, to Chinese temples and shrines, to hipster cafes, it's a real gem of Bangkok.
From there we'll take the boat on the Chao Phraya river up to Wat Arun, The Temple of Dawn just outside of Chinatown in the old center of the city, before heading back on the metro into the real heart of Chinatown เยาวราช (ไชน่าทาวน์), the busy main street and getting lost in the Old Market ตลาดเก่าเยาวราช
We'll go as far as the Ong Ang Walking Street ถนนคนเดินคลองโอ่งอ่าง before finishing the day at the street food stalls which get gradually busier as the sun goes down.
To me, this is really one of the most wonderful ways that you can spend a day in this great city!

You seem so much more relaxed in your Bangkok videos than the videos I have watched from Persia, North Africa and the Middle East. You really do look like you feel at home.
Thanks again for taking us along 🙏

Haha yeah it’s not surprising to me that I’d be very relaxed in Bangkok, I’ve been there so many times it’s almost like a second home. Most of the time in my videos I’m seeing things for the first time but not so much of that here. Just Talat Noi was new to me in the Chinatown video and I was super glad I went to explore there!

Bangkok is a really great city. It took me a couple of visits before I liked it though, there's so much outside of the obvious bad sides

Thank you, I guess you don't like the food stuff but I appreciate honest feedback. Bangkok is a great city and one I keep going back to. I've been staying around Lat Phrao the last few times due to friends around there.
