I love this review but one thing that tourists keep saying that I don't understand is how they are always surprised when they see something that is well maintained. Do we have a reputation of not maintaining buildings and monuments that are part of our heritage? We are an extremely proud nation and will never neglect our treasures, they're part of who we are. We still maintain Jewish cemeteries all over the country even though their families have left for Israel decades ago and never returned. We owe it to our Moroccan ancestors, Muslims, Jews or any other religion or culture. Just wanted to clear that up. Enjoy your trip!
I guess for me I was mainly surprised as I’d head the opposite about the kasbah, but it seems that there had been some major work in the last year. Morocco is certainly a proud country and one I love to spend time in. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hello fellow moroccan, I think as a channel subscriber i have the right to share my opinion. I think he has the rightr to be surprised of course, because even though our country is well maintened and organized in a way but still we can't say the same for all the touristic spots, furthermore I know that infrastructural improvement includes mainly touristic cities where there's potential gain from touristic investment, on the other hand a lot of villages and rural areas can not only shock tourists, but even moroccan citizens, especially the ones who live in big to medium cities (demographically speaking). So I don't think it's a surprise that Chris is surprised.
Hi Mate, I am from Agadir welcome back glad you enjoyed yourself in Agadir nice beautiful relaxed city. Thank you so much for your positive feedback. enjoy Morocco and welcome 🙂
Hello, I am visiting Agadir with my husband and daughter in April. This will be during Ramadan, I believe. My question is, will we be expected to stay at our resort or will we be able to explore Agadir? Will attractions be open so you know? Many thanks.
Thanks Chris, we were in Agadir for a day at the end of Nov 23 from a Marella cruise ship. But we grabbed a taxi and went straight to Taghazout. Yours is the best video to show what we missed and, hopefully, we will see when we go back for a longer stay.
Agadir looks beautiful! We visited Morocco for over a month earlier this year, but didn't get to Agadir. Now I'm regretting it. The beach front reminds me a little of Essaouira, but Agidar city is much larger. I enjoyed your vlog!
Thank you! I loved Essaouira probably slightly more so than Agadir. They’re both so different and great in their own ways but it was great just not needing to take a taxi. That video will be coming real soon 🙂
It was the city this trip that I was most looking forward to and it didn’t disappoint. There were some other great surprises but I’ll leave those til later :-)
Don't go ! It's dirty and they rip off the tourist old people .... I am here now november 2024 .... notice this guy does not tell you any prices in the vlog ....this place is a jjoke beggers stopping you every 5min ... why no prices ?? Think about it ..
The Fort on the hillside was renovated over the last couple of years....so about 2021 - 2022 the cable car was also installed during that period - They have done a great job of it
I heard this from a local guy I was talking to up at the fort. It's absolutely a great job, and given that historical parts of the city were mostly destroyed it's still become great in it's own right thanks to the development.
0:11 Thank you for this. the video. The beautiful one. In my city. the beautiful . I was born there and still am. I live. When I die, I will be buried there in Agadir. In the heart👍🏻✌️🧢
Welcome to agadir anytime i wish i can show you around our beautiful city i don't want any money but i have school so i am really sorry & i hope you enjoyed your time at our city ❤️
Hi I was just watching videos about Agadir as I’m going next week and this one really came in handy thanks for informing me for how it is 🎉 also wondering if your still in Morocco
Could be interesting to do at some point certainly. I often travel solo but not always and the most important thing with financing travel is not going to expensive places. Morocco for example is very affordable but has a lot to offer.
Great vid Chris .. I have been to Agadir a good number of times ....It gets under your skin and u want to keep going back ... The camera work and commentary on this vid is great ... The view from Mc D's or KFC on the beach front is priceless - What time of year did u go ? What hotel did you stay in ? Would you recommend it ? Thanks for sharing - Hope u make more vids from - Morocco
Thank you, I appreciate it! I was there in August and stayed in an apartment near Souk El Had rather than one of the many hotels near the beach. There'll be plenty more coming from Morocco with Essaouira coming soon
Thank you for the video, planning to visit Agadir in August, what month did you go? I have head August is not the best month to go due to sea mist.. could you give any feedback on that please?
Enjoy your vlogs Chris thankyou so can you recommend for a newbie traveller best area to visit for the 1st time in Morocco? Have you visited Safi (asfi)
Thank you! It really depends on how long you have and what you want to see. You'll almost certainly be in Marrakech at some point but I wouldn't recommend staying too long there. I really enjoyed Tangier on my last trip. Haven't visited Safi
The Tamazight language is not the second language in Morocco. It is the first, original and mother language of Morocco, followed by Arabic, French, English, Spanish and Hebrew.😊
@@ChrisKermis well, the suspensions were not at their 100% and the road is full of speed bumps... Anyway, I enjoyed the sights 😊 - thank you for your videos!
Hello Chris, thank you for your great videos! My plane will be arriving in Agadir, so that's where I'll be entering Morocco. Do you have a recommendation for where I should rather withdraw my first Moroccon cash at an ATM? Directly at the airport? I'm a bit nervous about this...
Thank you 🙏🏽 Sorry I haven’t noted any of the prices along the way. I don’t tend to include prices on videos as they’ll probably have changed before long anyway.
October and November is when I go to Agadir. The weather tends to be warm, in the 20C + range and sunny. Cooler at night so a light jacket is sometimes needed.
I found it fairly spread out and did use taxis sometimes. Getting between the beach and the city near the big market we I stayed was a fair distance. There was also an added problem that the roads were completely blocked with traffic near the beach by a certain time in the evening. Then I would walk some of the way past the traffic and get a taxi for the rest of the way
Search for “Train Touristique” on Google maps and you’ll find it, I don’t remember the price. I took a bus to Croco park, I think one runes all the way from the beach somewhere but you’ll need to google that too.
Thank for this video. I'm torn between here and Marrakech, never been here but I Love Marrakech so much and always keen to return, I can't decide! But hey, let's not promote MC DONALDS!!! I'm sure our money will be much better spent in locally owned businesses
It’s fairly spread out but taxis make it pretty easy to get around. Getting a taxi from the beach area can be a pain if it’s busy in the evening though
Hey Chris, Just wondered if there were many hustlers in Agadir ? I'm afraid to say the hustling was a constant issue when I visited Fes earlier this month and spoilt the experience of the city for me so just wondered what it was like in Agadir ?
No trouble at all in Agadir! The worst hustling is limited to Fes and Marrakech in my experience. In Essaouira where I’ll be in the next video I didn’t even need to set a price with taxi drivers. They work on fixed prices and were honest.

I have seen very clean and very dirty places in Morocco. And also, northern Morocco is less maintained than the south and the tourist places.
