Following the recent Mistlands update, there are now four different animals that you can keep as tamed pets in Valheim: boar, wolves, lox, and chickens (hens)! In this video we take an in-depth look at the game mechanics behind how taming and breeding works in each of these four animals.

I personally think the amount of animals shouldn't be limited to such a small number considering it take such a long time for them to be born and to grow up
Make multiple zones! It keeps it more organised too
I understand the lox one. But make boar 7 or 8 within 10 metres and wolves 5 or 6 within 10 metres. Hopefully this changes in future updates
Played for almost 1k hours, and bunch of this was news to me! The nitty-gritty of the breeding mechanics was amazing. Nice graphics, as well. Thank you!

Too bad the Valheim devs don't like people making efficient farms for food like Minecraft devs allow their players to do in Minecraft. It's annoying to build an efficient farm just for the devs to patch it and now you have to break it again.
@@jaddal2215 The game is still in Early Access, so changes are expected. And mods fixes individual needs a player might have.
@@jaddal2215 this games has pretty muhc role-play mechanics so it seems apropiate for the devs to not allow those Minecraft farms in their game
@@jaddal2215 I built a pretty efficient farm that hasn't been broken by an update yet, although it took a bit of effort to build. I have 8 different boar pens separated by 6 2x2 floor tiles from each other to allow the boar to breed. Each pen has 2 one star boars in them, I feed them before I farm the center with carrots, tulips, onions. They all produce tons of boar meat, all while I'm planting and harvesting the vegetables. It's great

It is genuinely criminal that the algorithm hasn't given you the attention your effort deserves. Concise, sharply edited, brimming with info, and just a touch of humor & wit has made for some of the best content I've seen on TH-cam in some time; not just for Valheim, but for guide based stuff in general.
Keep it up! This almost convinced me you were a developer for the game elaborating some of the under the hood mechanics. Wherever this channel may take you? I wish ya plenty of good fortune, you've got a real knack and hopefully others recognize this and help boost the performance of these vids!
Hopefully the algorithm is starting to give her the attention. Just randomly happened across her video on my homepage and was super impressed at the beginning, so I watched it all and subscribed now.

Too bad the game's development slowed to an absolute crawl as it took them *2 years* to put out their first biome update. And the Steam page says the game is 50% complete.. yikes. Star Citizen or Valheim? Place your bets!
I usualy find female voices very harsh on the ears. I tend to avoid them.

For anyone that hasn’t yet you should 100% check out the TameEverything mod, Beasts of Burden, and Battlemounts. You can configure the settings and tame trolls, hatch dragon eggs, tame all mobs, attach a cart to your tames, follow command for all your tames, saddles for boars and wolves and the ability to use the mounts primary and secondary attack while riding. Lox slam ftw.
That's my next inbetween when i conquer mistlands.

Found your channel the other day when I started playing Valheim again for the update. Your content is amazing! From the graphic visuals to the little scenes you set up with your character the videos are really fun to watch and easy to get information from. and one cool thing they added to the game is that you could get eggs in the "Sealed Towers" which came to the game recently with the Hildir's Request update. Once you kill the miniboss, you can obtain them in the chest present in their floor.
