Couldn't recently clip log bench on swamp crypt inside wall. Devs might have changed something.
the only thing is,you need the mistlands upgrade for the cauldron to cook the chicken into different foods

the post is more just to cook it, as said. 60hp and 20st rivals mountains food, such as the onion soup or wolf skewers. And honestly, mnts are much harder to deal with than doing this cheesy strat, aside from keeps eyes on deathsquitos
A lot better of a way to kill deathsquitos: just use a leveled up finewood bow lol, even with wooden arrows it can 1 shot a deathsquito when it's coming toward you.
If you want some strategy the easiest way to dodge a deathsquito attack is just you run in a straight line away from it, and jump as it comes toward you, or roll at it and kill it with your fists I don't really care. But after you dodge once you just prepare a shot and wait for it to attack you again, once it's in a b-line toward you it's a very easy shot and it's also dead if you hit it.
You can get a root harnesk from an abomination to help protect against the deathsquitos.
You can also stack it with the serpent shield which also has pierce resist :)

@@JonathanUsmar is and isn't. Chickens agent bronze age either, after all.
The first time you enter the swamp you'll be in bronze age kit, so anything you can gather while wearing that is fair game.
@richardreumerman5449 I wouldn't enter the plains with bronze gear. But you can perfectly go there with root gear due to the pierce resistance. So it is viable to get chickens at mid swamp levels assuming normal skill levels wrt fighting.
To get the line to show from the bench you need to have out an item it builds

I was able to use this technique dressed cap-à-pie in bronze armor with a bronze buckler and mace. Lox ate my boat, but I survived the deathsquitors.
Aside from cooked eggs, there's nothing food-wise I can make with chickens that I want to feed my Viking. OTOH, I constantly need feathers, and having chickens is much easier than cutting down several forests to get feathers.
Use wood arrows to kill seagulls. Meadow and black Forest shorelines are their best spawns
the chests with the eggs are not always on the side with the stairs, sometimes they're on the other side. if u go through the portal and ur on stairs, GO BACK THROUGH, do not go past the doorway, the boss is right there and if u have bronze age gear, even iron or silver age gear, the boss will most likely kill u, try doing the same thing but on the opposite side of the stairs

I took ages to find her after looking all over meadows I finally found her on a tiny bit sandwiched between Forest and right on the edge on Plains next to a Goblin camp!
you can also one shot them with a bow i think, just start charging your bow and then shoot when they are going for an attack (aka flying to you in a straight line)
this was a game changer for me... Eggs and Chicken are Top Tier foods no doubt. I can Run around with Salad, Mushroom Omelet, and Honey Glazed Chicken. With a couple of farms and a couple Portals to Cloud Berry patches to ensure a constant Supply.
Serpent shield also protects you from piercing damage - need to kill a serpent though and collect its scales. Bronze Age leviathans…..30 chiton. Prob possible. I had to switch worlds to find a leviathan early enough.
The chicken stats vs the risk of going into the Plains at that level - It's much easier to just farm Serpents at night in the Ocean. Same stats after cooking. ...although, you can't create a "farm" for Serpents like you can the eggs.

I use a bow and either look for them and shot them out of the air. Also if you let them charge you then release even a weak shot from your bow will kill them.
Bright idea. The thing though, we never have such clear map when Hildur puts marks unless complete cheese. We don't know the nearby locations and on every map there are just 3 possible locations of tower. If you reveal by line of sight one, are others are gone, I don't know yet.
I like early swamp crypt exploration without swamp key and mountain exploration without Bonemas.
Only hildir works like that. There are always 3 of each of her mini boss locations on the map.
I killed yagluth and i'm only at 12 blocking 😕

did you know that you can dodge the deathsquito strikes with a well timed roll you can even use the little sound they make before attacking
Rolls give i-frames against pretty much everything, just enter a stating contest against a trolls crotch with some stamina food, a flint spear, a few minutes of free time and just pressing spacebar while holding right click you can kill one on day 1 if you really want to.
Highly recommend the root chest piece for the plains. The deathsquitots are a non issue with it.
I only recommend it early in your play through because In the plains and beyond there’s a lot of fire type damage and the best well rounded set is the padded armor (I think each root piece makes you 33% weaker to fire). It’s literally godsend if you find a mistlands or plains area early on, you can basically set up a base there with only a couple threats that aren’t common. Also the root harnesk is really good for death runbacks in those biomes, it’s the only armor you’ll need to get your body back if you have one.
@@alekruberry2939 i used root harnesk in the mistlands cuz seekers i took like 10 damage and i had lvl 1 carapace armor
@@alekruberry2939 Fire resist wine is easy to make and not only cancels out fire weakness completely, but provides resistance to fire with the harnesk equipped. Resist pierce effectively doubles your armor against pierce damage which is fairly common in every biome except mountains and ocean
I use full padded armour and take potion against fire. Honestly the deathsquitos are not hard to kill. I just stand still wait until they come at me block and hit with Iron mace. Hardest thing in plains for me are the tar blobs. Goblin camps are easy if you find a big stone near. Get the attention of them and then run to the stone and jump up. They can't get up so you can just use arrows to shoot at them. I'm not good at mobs coming at me so I try find strategic ways that work for me.

Interesting tip! Although, for that much trouble, if I’m going to exploit, I would rather just have another high-level character simply give me a bunch of eggs. Much easier and quicker.
Some people like the challenge of doing it on a new/lower lvl char I'd imagine. Maybe it's still a cheesy strat, but you could still argue you did it legit on a fresh character. Some people like making new characters per world for the challenge of leveling them up, or at least bringing over an old character without any gear or items
@killer930000 Except that this strategy is not legit at all, it is an exploit. Which is fine too, but you can't refer to a literal exploit as legit.
@@zenbane1876 I said it could be argued, not that I will lol. Some won't think it's much of an exploit if the tools in the base game allow you to do it. It's mad cheesy for sure, but portals be portals.
@@zenbane1876 I will say though, that I find it more 'legit' than grabbing items from another world to boost your main one...I would say that anything you got in a single world without actual cheats or mods is 'legit' but cheesy
@killer930000 Characters being able to transport items between worlds is an intended feature of the game as designed by the Devs. Whereas the method in this video takes advantage of an exploit in the game. An exploit is something that is NOT an intended feature and was not designed by the Devs to be used in this way. An exploit is not legit by any stretch of the imagination. Transporting items between worlds is legit, but can also be viewed as cheesey. Exploiting a game bug is both illegitimate and cheesey. And this is a 100% exploit no matter how you try to justify it. This idea that it can't be considered an exploit simply because it involves tools available in the game is absolutely absurd. The tools are being used to take advantage of an exploit. If tools external to the game were used instead, then it would be a hack. You are butchering some incredibly basic concepts here.
Have you tried out the Steam NEXT bellwright demo, think its the most hours I put into any demo that I recall, feels kinda addictive even if it still somewhat rough around the edges the demo.

and there's plenty of spots without mist as well. That's what I did on my initial play through, worked great.

Yeah it's actually pretty easy to traverse without a wisplight, well i know from having to retrieve my loot constantly (I stubbornly wear the root harnesk even though the gjall deals 20 dmg per fire tick please help)
Honestly, I've never really understood glitching to get stuff in a game when you can just spawn the items. Neither method is "playing the game as intended", so is one really worse than the other? If you are going to glitch just save yourself sometime and spawn in what you want and then play the parts of the game you want to. If you are glitching because you have fun glitching and it's not about the object - then have at it, I won't tell you how to have fun :)
I suppose this would be for console players? I don't know if they can spawn stuff in all willy nilly like on pc.
@@Pimpemonplenty of willy nilly on PC. PC is where the willy dwells.
It's kind of like using exploits in skyrim vs just giving yourself the best gear right at the start of the game through the console, sure it's unintended, but as you say it's fun to figure out neat little tricks in subsequent playthroughs to keep things fresh, in a game everyone has probably already beaten
@robjsmiles what would be cooler is a demo on how to get those eggs by legit going through the tower in bronze age but avoiding the fights. That is a no-glitch lore and canon friendly way of getting eggs at a stage the game didn't intend you to.

I had some trouble too, but I remembered it had to be at the right angle. Eventually, I was able to get it. I can confirm it works as I just did it before typing this comment.
I parry just about everything and only have 24 block
I play hard mode and most things just break through the parry :(

That is mildly infuriating lol. Deathsqueeto use to one-shot lv3 silver armour at back when the game first released. Fair deuce all the same.

I am currently playing a no-boss kill run, just to chill, and I have up to silver gear + chicken farm, got all farming stuff and the raid is only the first one with the boars and necks (food delivery at this stage) :). If you don't kill bosses - raids don't progress.
@@kazdull no boss run must mean console spawning run? You can get silver without wishbone but you still need a iron pickaxe.
Without the swamp key, I Suppose you could grind the rare scrap iron drops from blobs but that would take ages. A troll can mine copper and tin for ya that ain't hard.
Without moders tear, no artisan table, no new craft stations, no progression.
Overall you can get away with some tricks to progress slowly for a little bit, but eventually bosses are needed for progression unless you devcommands

Workbenches areas arent cylinders. They are spheres. Confirmed on 3 towers on latest patch.
They are currently cylinders in the current game.

Weird. I built a tower on top of a pine tree last week. And only used a workbench and a stonecutter at the base of the tower

Chickens = feather farm! I never have enough feathers. Going out to hunt birds is so grindy and boring.
@@Andrewtr6not sure how people run out of feathers so easily. You don't go out to shoot birds, you just whip your bow out when you see them.
Stormy/windy weather they just flock to the ground you get tons. Its also fun when they start landing on the structures you build.
Cutting down trees also helps keep the stock up.
Little chests in abandoned houses in meadows, mini towers in black forest, chests in sunken crypts, mountains...
You have to really try hard to run out of feathers, or you really have to ignore loot, cutting trees, and birds.
Before the mistlands update we didn't have chickens and everyone still had enough feathers
@SamLopeZz I hord all loot so that's not the problem. I never see birds around my base and I stopped shooting at them because it's a waste of arrows. I either miss or they fly away by the time I take aim. The birds aren't efficient enough. Chicken farm is way more efficient.
@@Andrewtr6 I understand. I've always been quick with the bow maybe that's why for me it's super effective.
Maybe it's the position of your bases, usually close to water in the meadows there's always a lot. The plains can be even easier, you see further out and no vegetation or trees blocking the view.
But overall I understand they added another way to get feathers, just for me they end up in the obliterator

No, the tower is indistructable and fully enclosed at the bottom. I actually tried digging myself into one, when I first found them. Because I thought the entrance would be somewhere at the bottom and you have to fight your way through to the top. I honestly still don't understand why (unless you're glitching yourself in, like in this video) you have to do a stupid 5-10 minute build & climb just to enter the dungeon.

60/20 isn't even an eye scream, but may be a quick food source if farmed in bulk
I'm seeing so many comments of people saying it's unnecessary too much work excetera excetera I disagree there are so many recipes early game that require eggs that you could make and hugely benefit from and yes it may be a good amount of work and you'll probably die a lot and getting there but if you can get the eggs you have them from then on I think it's worth it

Did you like take into account the cooking station level? Like you need lvl 4 for most stuff in mistlands and to even get lvl 3 you need silver and black metal for lvl4
I usually get silver at the bronze Age into Iron by using the most clever trick of using the stag breaker as a ground thumper then marking silver deposits for later.
If you want to take this big Brain convoluted way of playing further. Go into the Mistlands and find Jotunn Iron scrap and. Then get a soldier Seeker to mine the scrap for you. Then collect the scrap. Its the one way I found, to acquire iron scrap easily. You could also try to kill draugr for scrap (rare) or go into the Mountain dungeons and scrap everything.
Its a fun but bizarre way to play. It also makes farming easier as killing area bosses ups the difficulty by adding more mob types.
@@convergence1point you can just get iron ingots from tearing down bridges in the mistlands, no need to waste time kiting a seeker soldier and if the bridge has like 3 pillars it gives 3 stacks of iron ingots lmao. (They have iron supports the whole way through inside if you've somehow never noticed them glaring through the bridge cracks.)

@Andrewtr6 yes, after a lot of testing of what triggers what raids. I play with people of different skill levels so I tend to make very safe bases; elevation, moats. When I spawned eggs on a server with no boss kills, had plains raid of goblins.
@matthewscheer7722 And you're sure no one killed Yagluth without saying? I just tested this video in a creative world to make sure it works. I got the eggs, hatched them, etc and haven't gotten any raids of any kind.
I wanna get the eggs legit on my friends server because we need feathers. Plain raids would be more than we could handle.
@Andrewtr6 I had raid settings cranked to max. Not sure if that makes the difference

What confuses me is why eggs would trigger raids. Especially the plains raid when plain raids should be triggered by defeating Moder. If anything, this sounds like a bug.
if you had played this game without cheats , you should know that you can actually fight a Deathsquito from the first moment you get a bow ... try without cheats.. maybe you will like it after so many years!
Squitos are ez, dodge roll I frames aren't even needed. Just get low and the stinger will miss
They were nerfed repeatedly, release Deathsquitoes not only hit harder, they also got a sneak bonus and had far more HP.
But I honestly think they were a better deterrent with their original stats :/
@@josephdavis3472doesnt really matter, bow and arrow still can one shot deathsquitos past or present. The real problem lies when you ride a boat and the squito chase you to the ocean.

How about playing the game properly and not ruining your experience by glitching your way to the other side of the wall where you shouldn´t be able to get...
For some people the fun is playing by the rules, for others its playing with the rules. Dont funshame people who are not making any harm to others

@@Wratisak How about designing a game with depth and variety from the beginning, rather than locking magic, food, resources, and unique weapons behind the last biome you encounter, right before the game is over?
@@jaysoniorg2950 Nah, I like the progress and the fact, that you get a new technology in every biome aka level. How long would the game be fun if everything was there from the beginning? You really want to get the best weapon in meadovs and 1-hit your way to the end? Don´t be silly.
@@Wratisak Lol! Have you played other games? Including unique items, magic, and food in the early game doesn't mean they have to be powerful.

I guess too stock up maybe omelets seem quite egg heavy 3 eggs per meal

@kuttytheboss8870 yeah once you get a chicken farm going its also annoying keeping them fed they go through seeds like crazy but don't produce too many eggs
@@benshearer1710 I installed a mod that let's me plant many plants and seeds at once I believe it's called the mass farming mod and that helps me in making sure I have 2k + seeds at all times
