- In this video I fix a Gameboy DMG-01. Although it is in pretty rough shape and its PCB is broken, I give it my best to revive it.

Nice repair. I also started my fixing hobby with the Gameboy DMG. They are a lot of fun to work with, apart from the 1000's of screws. LOL
Merci beaucoup frère ♥️
Well done. Good to c another gameboy saved from the trash
Thank you so much!
faded screen and quiet sound is probably a cap/regulator job.
Nice work!
Thank you so much!
Mine has continuity on both points that yours didn’t but i still don’t get the screen to work…
Maybe some tips or help?
Do you get the startup sound?
Could be the contrast wheel 🤔.
@@TheKonsolist no startup sound (nintendo bleep) and i cleaned the contrast wheel a couple op times. Everything around the screen looks clean and is still attached to the board without damages.
I’m in France… do you think you’ll be able to help me to repair my game boy? ☺️
What exactly is wrong with it?
@@TheKonsolist the polariser has been burnt however when I put on the battery, there is still sound but I’m not sure if it is still working as the screen is blank.
If you have sound, it should be working. Maybe consider doing an IPS screen mod, if the original screen is bad.
@@TheKonsolist thanks. I’ll try it myself then. Just sound of a blink of the Nintendo but no sound of the game
