@@AryaHime I always understood it as the “they” in question is their victims like “how do they see me” ashes on wool, meaning black as in darkness, the dead see nothing, and “what do they sound like”, feathers on snow, they don’t make sounds anymore..cuz they’re dead.

Haven't watched the whole video yet so sorry if you already know this but the very basic gist of Kindred (as I don't know them in great depth) is that Kindred is literally death, the grim reaper if you will. If you do not flee from death or try to avoid it, Lamb will 'kill' you with her bow and arrow, a gentle and graceful way to go. If you 'refuse' to die and seek to avoid it, Wolf will hunt you down and viciously bring you to whatever afterlife there may be. I may be wrong but this is my (basic) understanding of Kindred. Loving the reactions, keep it up.

2 weeks late replay on your kindred comment. one thing to add is the lamb's death is absolute but the wolf gives you a chance to survive. that`s why a true Demacian welcomes lamb but a true Noxian challenges wolf.
Just saying - Kindreds story change so much after adding them to LoR("card" game of LoL). They are not superior death itself, they are not even the strongest one. They are one of many incarnation of death. Now, death of Yone Mordekaiser etc has much more sense, bcs - Kindred are not superior
Celestials may be immortal but! A celestial has died before, the aspect of war Pantheon died as his vessel was struck by Aatrox so hard it killed the God/Celestial but not the vessel/man or Atreus(The "Pantheon" we know)

In Kindred's story, the "pale man" is them before they split into two.. they're the death symbol in Runeterra and kind of Yin and Yang as well.. there's darkness in the Lamb and light in the Wolf. Lamb gives the ones that accept death a painless passing and Wolf brutally murders those who run from death. One is deaf, the other can't see. One can understand emotions, but can't feel, the other can feel, but can't understand.
Basically, kindred are something like the grim reaper.
When someone its close to death, they come to take it to the other side. If one accepts its death, the lamb take him with a merciful arrow, otherwise, wolf hunts and “kill” who try to avoid death.
They were born at the beginning of the universe, along with Aurelion Sol, Fiddlesticks and some more.
No, they were not born at the beginning of time. They were born on Runterra, like any spirit god, when people began to believe in the concept of death.

Kindred is the most known spirit of death. Lamb is the sweet death for those who accept it and Wolf is for those who try to flee and… well, he has teeth and they are sharp. Every region has it’s own interpretation as we can see in their skins like Spirit Blossom. We recently learned that they were probably human long ago and, after meeting the Mask Mother and that she offered them this masks (the black one in wolf p’s shape you see on lamb and the white one in lamb’s shap on Wolf’s face), they “became” Kindred. A spirit of death is said to die when there are no believer in them because they stop to exist in tales (So since they can die even though they are “immortal”, that can suggest many immortals can die. Soraka is an immortal but since she took a mortal body, now she is mortal, etc…). Since Kindred is the most known, they are the most powerful death avatar but there are many others we see in Legends of Runeterra : One for Targon, one for Ionia, etc… The Shadow Isles’ one explain us what happen to those who don’t have any believers left, since it’s it’s case. There come the grim reaper of the grim reaper, another spirit of death who’s job is to end the spirits of death that ceased to be believed.
It’s a lot to take in but basically : There isn’t just one spirit of death in Runeterra, though Kindred is the most known one. They apparently used to be alive until they wore those masks. Lamb understand the emotions but can’t feel them and Wolf can feel but not understand (apparently). They do have quotes with others, thinking of Gangplank who actually escaped death, they have quotes when they meet him, kill him, etc… If you search more into their story, you’ll probably get it better. If you want to see Kindred’s quotes in game when they encounter a champion, just type “Kindred Special interaction”
The only thing to keep in mind is we don’t know the real nature of the other death avatars. It’s entirely possible the other death avatars don’t exist, and are merely representations of lamb and wolf of other cultures.
I think the mother exists and I think it’s safe to say the etherfiend exists.
But unless riot is going to remove their in game voice lines that straight up make it known they are the one and only bringer of death I don’t subscribe to there even actually being multiple death avatars. Or if they do exist, they’re likely just offshoots of kindred.
Literally 90% of this is just theorizing.

The immortal beings like Yordles do die but they immediately respawn in bandle city. So yeah nothing can escape Kindred.
actuality is look more in lore of game she is a death for mortals, meyby for some things pike lower power spirts like yorlds, byt she never kill sol bard acpect, they meyby have own version like it a version who kill a forget death spirits
I think you got the gist of it very well.
Kindred is death. It used to be a single entity, this "man" who everyone must meet from their story. This is your classic grim reaper. He got so lonely he split himself in half to have a friend, and thats the Lamb and the Wolf, together known as Kindred.
They kind of balance each other. Lamb peacefully takes those accepting death while Wolf aggressively hunts those who run from death.
Lamb seems to understand emotions but is unable to feel them herself, while Wolf can feel emotions but is unable to understand them.
So Wolf asks Lamb about a lot of things he feels and wonders about, and Lamb answers with her knowledge without actually feeling the things she talks about.
And yes, almost all champions have half a novel of voice lines interacting with a ton of champions, items, or situations in the game. Aurelion Sols lines for example are pretty funny, a sassy space god making fun of the tiny nobodies.
Obviously a lot of them are not technically canon, as in they were never spoken like that in the actual world, but they usually give you a good idea about the personality, values and often backstories of the characters. And some are just fun references and jokes.
We dont know exactly how they work, how they interact with some sort of "afterlife" like with Mordekaiser and other undead stuff.
It seems it will just take a bit longer until someone like Mordekaiser *really* dies and Kindred takes him, it might take another billion years for all we know.
in some of the voice lines wolf states "no match for us" and lamb remarks "few are, dear wolf" implying that some do "match" them probably mentioning characters like the darkins who are immortal beings, tryndamere in his undying rage state and Olaf, but olaf isn't immortal just too angry to die
Lamb and Wolf are known as the Kindred, manifestation of death on Runeterra. They are one and together. The change about being number one is tricky. Like spirits Kindred and other masked deaths get their power from being remembered and believed in. When they are forgotten they themselves die. This is the lore Legends of Runeterra laid with more spirits. Lamb represents the compassionate half of Kindred. Offering pain free death with a swift arrow to those who accept death. Wolf is the brutal side of Kindred chases who run from death and devours their soul. Also Lamb is logical, remembers everything but can't feel things, Wolf doesn't understand everything but feels everything but eventually forgets them.
The Kindred is the lamb and the wolf. They are death itself.

The lore hasn’t been retconned but they’ve added to it over time and it’s gotten complicated. Personally I think Their voice lines take precedent over everything else. They are the end all be all of death. It’s just difficult enough I know their exact relationship with the other death gods. Or if the other death gods exist at all and they’re just the many forms of kindred. There’s a lot we just don’t know.
Put simply: Kindred is what became of "the Grey Man" after he split himself in two because of his loneliness. The Grey Man was the LoL world's (Runeterra) equivalent of the Grim Reaper, the personification of death itself.
Lamb ends the lives of those who accept death and go willingly and peacefully. Wolf chases down and slays those who resist and fight against death. Lamb is an archer, Wolf rushes up and bites.
While Lamb is the half that players who play as Kindred take physical control of primarily, Wolf plays an integral part of the kit, and constantly follows Lamb around, except when one of Kindred's abilities dictates that he go do something else.
Kindred is death itself, and thus could be argued to be the most powerful champion in the game's lore, since from gameplay it seems that even the aspects *can die, though presumably it would be very difficult to kill them, and in lore, only a few other champions would actually be capable of killing one (or more) of the aspects.
Kindred are essentially the personification of death on Runeterra, but they're also so much more.
They are the representation of "the end". They are a reminder that EVERYTHING is final. This includes even the moster powerful beings like Aurelion Sol, eventually, even they will meet their end. And yes, this also includes the Kindred themselves, for it is said, that once all life has ended, the Kindred will kill themselves, Lamb will shoot Wolf and Wolf will maul Lamb. And then... the OTHER one will appear to feast on what remains.
Because beings do never just die once. Ever being has two deaths. The first, being the physical death. The second being when your existence is finally forgotten. The second death is represented by the one who picks on what remains. The vulture. The last mask. The Etherfiend.
if u die in ur sleep, u meet "lamb", if you get murdered, it's because you meet wolf

Kindred is probably my favorite champ but if you want short explanation on them I can try to give one from memory
Long ago kindred was born from the mask mother as a spirit of death this being wont have a set name in history but is simply referred to as the grey man. Many years later the grey man has grown lonely due to every one shunning him and being afraid of him so the story goes that "he took an axe and split himself in two so he would always have a friend" now after this the spirit become two entities Wolf and Lamb and together they are known as Kindred.
Now to the part why many consider kindred the strongest creature on runetera has to do with some lore bits but the first thing to understand is how spirits gain power all spirits gain power from belief the more people believe in them and the stronger the people that believe them is the stronger the spirit will grow if you want an example of this their is many small spirits in LOR or Janna another spirit who grew significantly weaker after people lost faith and belief in them.
Anyway back to why Kindred is considered the strongest it is heavily tied in to Aurelion Sol a celestial dragon capable of forging stars and destroying planets now in his lore the targonians tricked Aurelion Sol and put a golden crown on his head to try to restrain and control him and from this event Aurelion Sol was shown mortality for the first time which according to spirit lore should make kindred capable of killing him and because kindred powers grows with belief and the power of those who believe in them many believe that from this event Kindred gained the power to basically off celestials now if this is the case or not is currently up to the interpretation of the lore and how spirits work but at least we know kindred is among the strongest creature on Runetera.
Kindred is representation of death, everything will once meet its end. There is no exeption.

fyi. lamb is the peacefull death for those who accept it, wolf is the one chasing and reaping the souls that dont want to die and flee from death.
Kindred is the personification of death it self, which means they are the grim reaper of league, but if you watch necrits another videos about the personification of deaths in league there's a lot of grim reaper in different regions and species for a reaper, but kindred is the whole entity of death in runetterra, they are not the most powerful, If we compare to a godly power, but kindred itself and it's meaning, death is the end of everything, even undead are no escape to it's final life, and kindred always waiting for them to reach their finale, the only way to defeat kindred is that every living or undead souls are vanish on existent even kindred will vanish as well cause the only true purpose of him is to bring everyone to it's finale or end.

It doesn't matter if Kindred is not the most "powerful" but as necrit said "Everything in runaterra has to meet the end" and THEY are the end.
Kindred, if I'm not mistaken, is still the most powerful being, however, since Kindred is a "Concept of Death." It means they exist simultanously with other concepts of death / reapers. They are the most known/accepted, but there can theoretically be an infinite amount of equally powerful beings, it all depends on the cultures / belief of the people. If your culture's version of Kindred is a ghostly figured, clad in a black robe, who reaps your soul with a scythe, that would be Kindred we know as "The Grim Reaper."

and btw there are voicelines champions share with each other .. u have to search "special interactions" for a specific champ (like "special interactions Astrox"), also nice content to react.
and i still recommend kayne and jhin ^^...for example if u react to kayne voicelines it would be nice to add the special interactions he has.

Okay, where'd people get the idea that Celestials don't die? I guess we literally didn't read the Aspect of War get obliterated from the sky when Aatrox stabbed Pantheon. And that Aurelion and the Celestials aren't aware that the void is a threat to existence?
Ok angry rant aside, everything in the universe will end, and so everything will meet Kindred (if not another personification of death).
Celestials can die, but that's doesn't mean they will meet Kindred. Even not every human will meet them, Kindred is a God-Spirit, they are Concept from humans believes, like Janna. They do not have an exact appearance, they come to people in the image in which this person believed in them. From the story of Mordekaiser, we know that if a person did not believe in any Kindred concept, they would not come to that person and their soul would be lost.
The wolf and the lamb together are kindred. The lamb understands feelings but doesnt have them, wolf has feelings but doesnt understand them (because they were once a single entity before they split in half)
They are basically death, there whole theme is ensuring a destined death for every beeing (even in game things get marked to die and kindred gets boni if they hunt them down)
Every beeing meets kindred when it dies. If someone accepts his end the lamb finsihes them off fast with an arrow if the beeing doesnt accept its death wolf hunts them down. (They are supposed to be in somewhat of a different dimension, if youre close to death you (and only you) are able to see them & they will end youre live.)
In the game their entire abilitys are based on getting stronger the closer someone is to death (low hp) and sometimes things in the game get marked for death, or alternatively kindred can mark them herself, if they then succed to finsih of a marked opponent they will become stronger permanently. Their "ultimate" (=strongest ability) creates an area in which nothing can die (neither ally or enemy) symbolizing kindreds complete control over death

@@Aaniel_al.Meara. Yes and they rule over death lol. I doubt anything void related will fall to Kindred tho since the only people who falls to Kindred has to believe in them. Thats why Mordekaiser is still around and was able to just do whatever the hell he wanted after his death

wolf is deaf, he is fueled with emotion and cannot control it, his immaturity is shown as he refers to people as "it" or "that" whereas lamb calls them he or she

they are NOT gods or omnipotent beings, theyre spirits, there is many other champions who are also of equal position, therefore many champions are untouchable or immortal and kindred cannot ever kill these beings

Yes , champion interaction is very much a thing. There's even videos specific to those interactions. Something like Senna and Lucian since they're a pair have a lot of voice lines together or Xayah and Rakan.

Kindred is more than just death, they are THE END and everything in this universe has to end eventually, there is no true inmortality, if the universe end, inmortals will cease to exist, that includes the Gods and the Watchers, and when there is noting else in existence... Kindred will too cease to exist.
LoR reveals that they aren't THE death, but a death. There're many other spirits like them, but Kindred is most believed in and therefore the strongest. Interestingly enough, there's also another spirit, the Etherfiend, which serves as the grim reaper for other grim reapers - it gobbles them up once everyone forgets about their existence.

I'm just at the minute 2:31 but I think I shall explain to you what kindred is, kindred is a god of death the lamb and the wolf are part of the same soul, only that they represent different aspects of it

It keeps amazing me how a game as shallow and basic as LoL, has such deep lore and incredibly fleshed out and complicated characters. Even though other than a bio and their voice lines, this depth adds little to the gameplay itself.
All the immortals can die as proven by Aatrox who literally killed a god. The void has killed Shuriman ascended; what Aatrox was before becoming Darkin. Immortals in league to me seems to not age, and very difficult to kill, but they can be killed. "Kindred are Runeterra's most common spirit god that embody death," and "They usually don't kill actively, but rather appear to those who die naturally except for a few circumstances."-(League of Legends Wiki) I imagine Kindred or something akin to kindred claimed the god war after Aatrox killed him. It's fair that Necrit, in a list that isn't about how well they do in a fight, put Kindred at the top. Kindred isn't the only spirit of death in lore that collects souls as another is the mask mother; I saw a video on them once. "The Mask Mother is said to be a primordial being who incepted the notion of gods of death on Runeterra."-(League of Legends Wiki) The mask mother is not a playable character in the game of League of Legends and is strictly a character in lore.

@@joshuaaspra4754 That's correct, Kindred isn't any of the Aspects at all. Kindred and Greyman (who they were pre'axe) was/is a spirit of Death, one of many spirits of Death. They're other spirits LIKE Kindred but Kindred is the most believed in = strongest of them all. Janna is a wind spirit and has people in Zaun worshipping her and so she is strong but not anywhere close to Kindred.
You should check out legends of Runetera interactions for kindred it expands on them a little

Celestials arent immortal, they r just reallyyyyyyyy powerful, there is aurelion who can create stars, and bard who is the first sound cosmos made, but they arent immortal, they just leave veryyyyyyyyy long and kindred means death so whenever you meet kindred you die

Kindred is only one of the many personifications of death. Each region in Runeterra has their own beliefs of "death". But as far as we know Kindred is the most well known. Their powers kinda work like how Jannah's (the wind spirit of Zaun) power does, that being that the more mortals pray or know them, the stronger they get so as far as we know Kindred is most likely a very powerful spirit.

Great vid! Kindred is one of the most interesting chamos I've seen in LOL. Although I would recommend watching at Skinspotlights for any voiceline and skin related videos.
No skinspotlight interaction videos focuses on INTERACTIONS and doesnt say a lot about the character. A good example is Aatrox. On skinspotlights he's presented as a joke cause almost all he does is roast other champions, however on JustAnotherNobody's video on Aatrox it actually focuses on his suffering and that's better than interactions.
@@snowman657 uhm Skinspotlights has voice line videos, even the grunts are included. Interaction videos are a separate thing he makes.
Kindred is Death
Kindred is supposed to be the representation of death in Runeterra. Those who accept their deaths, get a peaceful death by Lamb's arrow. Those who try to run from death, get a gruesome death by Wolf. In some cultures meeting the wolf is like an honor so they try to die in battle.
But they changed them to be an spirit like Janna, and they kinda get their power from people believing in them. For example Mordekaiser never knew the myth of Kindred, instead he was told about an afterlife and the halls of bones and some things like that. So they came back from the afterlife. So Kindred doesn't seem to have a jurisdiction on him lol. He's been "killed" like 2 times.
