They don’t really have a motivation, they are a representation of death itself. Lamb portraying the peaceful death and the death of people who accept it, while Wolf represents both brutal demise as well as the force that hunts those that run away from it. That is why most of his lines encourage people to run from them, as it’s more fun for him. Wolf also represents the Heart of Gray man, as he is the one that experiences feelings, while Lamb is the Mind, calm and calculated. That is why Lamb asks Wolf how hunger feels, but also knows what tears are called while Wolf knows what they feel like.
yeah its true the lonely man with axe its "god the death" (representation of dead) and yeah all poeple run away the death and this is the reason of he split on 2 part lamb and wolf for allaway have friend (its not real Character physiqualy) just when your time its over Kindred find you and you must choose brutaly death with wolf or easy dead with lamb.
@@maciejmierzejewski6607 They know that some might try to escape death, but it the end they always meet it. Morde for them is just an annoying guy that refuses to stay dead, but will some day.
There is also one aspect that I think people tend to forget about the concept of death that Kindred represents. Death is a very personal experience, how one perceives death, how one experiences death. However, there is one common thing that we all share when it comes to death. We all have and will experience death alone.
Wolf can feel emotion and doesnt understand them, Lamb can understand emotion but cant feel them. Great reaction kindred is an amazing character with great lore, they are pretty much the reaper of runeterra.
one of the varius reapers and the most known and old one, the only of the masked reapers that is know by humans even in the territory of the other masked reapers, for that reason their spirit blossom skin and yes its canon, for that is how Ionian people see Lamb and Wolf
@@Kaddahn not really, kindred can die too if forgotten, and there is a creature that kills the masks too. And kindred's masks are created by "the mother", mask maker. As long as their story is known they live and to be honest forgetting death is hard
Couldn’t really find that tweet, but that still doesn’t make sense. Why would being old be scary to Kindred, especially since Kindred is still older, and Fiddle will eventually die anyways. Being alone was the only thing that has ever scared Kindred, to the point where Gray Man actually split himself in half. I still believe it’s make more sense for them to fear being also, ESPECIALLY since like half their voice lines are about being together forever, meaning they are really important to each other.
Only demons really, he doesn’t call Soraka by name for example. Demons fear their name because they were spoken into existence, thus saying they name backwards will unmake them, which is their biggest fear. Kindred cannot be unmade like the demons as they are literally death, so fiddle just knowing their name wouldn’t make them fear him. Also Gray Man is just one of the hundreds of names given to Kindred by different cultures so isn’t their real name either.
@@maciejmierzejewski6607 Ok, there seems to a confusion. fiddlesticks don`t seek to create fear in spirits and demons. calling them by their name is an easter egg and unique feature. as for Soroka, all he says to her is "stars" referring to what Soraka is. also, kindred was born from the story. it is presumed the mother of mask spread the story and created the great spirits like kindred. but should a story be forgotten, she created a special great called The Etherfiend, a spirit to hunt the spirits and eat them. there are not a thousand versions of kindred, there`s only one, and should they be forgotten the Etherfiend will devour them. there are other spirits of death created by the mother of masks, some alive others about to die. you get hints of this when The Etherfiend is hunting the feeding icon and a spirit of death, almost forgotten. also, you get to see the other spirits of deaths the Mother of masks created.
Yeah I just read up on the Soates story, but I’m still on the side that loneliness is the only thing Kindred is scared of, as otherwise Fiddlestikcks would’ve said Etherfiend to them both. Kindred also aren’t afraid to die, since in the true ending they end up killing each other. I think that Fiddlesticks does three things. 1. He is able to say whatever scares his target the most(MF and Annie lines). 2. He repeats the sounds he has heard(whistling when moving, and the myriad of quotes from scared people trying to escape him) 3. Is actually speaking demonic, thus being able to actually pronounce the true names of the demons. Fiddle is a primordial demon, much more ancient and fear being much less sophisticated of a feeling, much more savage than the demon such as kench that is intelligent and can speak “English”. I think the soraka could just be an Easter egg, but soraka seeks order and following a destiny, while the stars and other celestials are being of pure chaos, and thus she’s unable to set them on the right track. That is also why she took on a mortal form, since she could set mortals on the right track with her powers.
In my opinion, Kindred is basically the perfect League character for lore. I don't know about you but they're definitely my favourite representation of death in media
I love kindred’s lore and they are one of few champions where I like all of their skins, I’m also slightly biased because I love wolves and love how kindred embodies the concept of death
actually wolf is the more "innocent" part of both, since it does feel everything but dosent understand, while lamb understands everything but dosent feel
i mean... is he really though? the real arguement of who is more innocent depends on if actions or thoughts are more evil, if the thought of doing evil isnt there while doing evil is worse, then wolf is the bad one, if actions with the thought of doing evil is there while doing good is worse, then lamb is the bad one. personally i dont think either are, both are just as wicked as the other, but its not like they have a real choice now do they?
@@ailospjellok7475 well... that argumant is wrong but first: They are death themself:They are not evil or good, they are there. They proven multiple times escaping death is a torment(See aatrox) so despite looking like bad thing they can be doing good instead. They can't have an aligment. Second:A creature that can't understand what its doing can't have an aligment. Lamb knows why they fear, why they want to live or why they want to linger just a little longer, why they cry etc... wolf? He is excited, wants to hunt... that neck looks just nice enough to bite... why am I sad? I have no idea its just there. its not that wolf lacks emphaty, its that it doesn't know whats the importance of these feelings... he is like an animal.
None of them is evil. Kindred itself is not evil. They have no malicious intend. Theyre just "The End".... the natural meaning of this word. The opposite of the start. Death is a part of life... its nothing unnatural or evil and neither is Kindred
I LOVE KINDRED! The wolf and lamb; body and spirit; Instinct and Humility; Ying and Yang. Kindred is not good but nor are they evil. They bring death to continue a cycle of new life. Absolutely one of my favorite character designs.
*Kindred is easily my favorite incarnation of death across all media.* "There was once a pale man with dark hair who was very lonely. *Why was he lonely?!* All things must meet this man, so they shunned him." " *They know we'll come!* Yet they are never prepared." " *They race from us!* Only to find us sooner." " *How old are we, Lamb?* Older than those whose footsteps are long vanished." Also, when they taunt Ekko, Lamb says: "We know your name child. Woven across countless almost-lives."
"The Man" Every Living Being HAS to meet this man, so they shunned him, thats why he was always alone. bassically, The Gray Man, was Death, and because everyone dislikes Death, he was always alone. So He Took an Axe and Split Himself in Two, So He would Always have a Friend.
Tragic when you realise that they are both halves of the same whole, yet one can feel but not understand and the other can understand but not feel. Kindred is so interesting to me because of how The Lamb and The Wolf's personalities reflects human understanding of death. The Lamb embodies our logic and understanding, she is our acceptance of death. While The Wolf is instinctive and emotional, he is the animalistic desire to flee from death. It's a reflection of the duality of humankind. The yin and the yang. The light and the darkness. 🐺🐑
2015-2016 champ design makes me weep for what we have lost. Seriously Jhin, Ekko, Kindred, Illaoi, Ivern, Aurelion Sol, Taliyah, Kled, Tahm Kench and Bard are so unique. 10/10 story, art, and unique kits. Renata Glasc and Bel'Veth were breaths of fresh air, but the last 4 years it's just shirtless men and the same strong woman who don't need no man on repeat. Seriously thought they were relaunching Samira when I saw the Nilah reveal today. Riot please go back to your roots and get creative again. Not necessarily less human champs, but at least more interesting ones please.
@Kirine Sin the new champions have really nice lores that basically save their design, but, I still really do prefer a unique type of design like the comment says. Not necessarily a non human/monster champ but a unique, original champ and not a sexy macho guy or a sexy model looking girl.
i mean the problem with champs that have come out "recently" is that they are all just the same shit we had but in different formats, akshan is just an amalgamation of 20 different characters, hes got a caitlyn/lucian ulti, a camille e mixed with urgot w for his e, the unique parts about ww and evelynn in his w (with an added gold gain bonus and a revive ofc). i dont need to point more out because its just the same spiel with so many characters, samira, akshan, kai'sa, yone, seraphine. and then they just randomly throw in absolute banger champions with unique themes and playstyles with original kits, like ornn, pyke, kayn, aphelios and recently ofc bel'veth and renata
I say the line "Never one, Without the Other" in my head all the time. Its so hauntingly beautiful. I wish I could play their character more, but im not a good jungler lol
Is that line lamb-wolf, or wolf-lamb, in your head? Followup question, in the other duo line "And wherever lamb went, wolf was sure to follow." does it switch? Because it's definitely lamb first on never one, without the other for me, but it switches on and wherever lamb went.
In my opinion Kindred is one of if not the most well designed character in the universe and without doubt the most well voice acted. No other voice lines provoke such instantaneous emotion or carry so much depth. We really need a Lamb and Wolf standalone game. When you look at games like Ori, Abzu and Gris etc all those very artistically driven games it just makes you see how insanely beautiful a Kindred game could be.
To think that you knew nothing about Kindred only to know everything about them in a couple of voicelines. Like how lamb is intelligent yet indifferent to feelings. And how wolf is rife with emotions yet innocent. Kudos to your means of observation Kudos to the writers of this wonderfully made character
In Kindred's story, the "pale man" is them before they split into two.. they're the death symbol in Runeterra and kind of Yin and Yang as well.. there's darkness in the Lamb and light in the Wolf. Lamb gives the ones that accept death a painless passing and Wolf brutally murders those who run from death. One is deaf, the other can't see. One can understand emotions, but can't feel, the other can feel, but can't understand.
@@mlinxl9090 Well what sound do they make would make sense but they are constantly talking to eachothers so wolf can't be deaf. I think it just means wolf can't remember what that sound is, just like how he calls tears water As for "how they see me", it doesn't mean how do they look, it's just showing how emotionless lamb is, she doesn't understand the perspective of others.
@@codebracker but then wolf replies with “ashes on wool” so I’m pretty sure they’re talking about appearance, same with wolf lamb replies with “feathers falling on fresh snow” so she is describing the sound. It wouldn’t make sense for them to ask each other these questions unless wolf is deaf and lamb is blind
When i think about the grey man, i imagine that he represents the primal fear of death, when there wasnt rational life or civilizations, when the concept of death didnt exist, animals just die without understanding the meaning of it, it was just the natural cycle of things to be follow, be born, grow, breed, die. But when rational beings started fearing death and anticipating it, they gave it a meaning, they idealized death, this is the point when the Kindred were born. well there is also the runeterra thing about the masks and everything, it is cool, a belief that is strong enough get a physical form until it meet the true or seccond death. Being erased from the history, no one remembers you, not even in books, there is nothing there to say you ever existed. Just like lamb said "the true death, is to never live" Edit: cool thing about the lore is that it is very conceptual, you can give a meaning to it, the meaning that for you makes sense, i just really love this champion holy shit
When the time of death comes, if the person accept their death, lamb will send them of peacefully with arrow, but if they try to flee, wolf will follow them and give them a horrible painful death. They say when you are about to die, you meet lamb and wolf, together known as kindred
Depending on what Society you live in runeterra also determine which you more likely to meet. In demacia they believed a peaceful death so they talk about the lamb that ends them mercifully. While Noxus believed fighting till the end, and believe it to be an honor fight to the very end, and would see the wolf more. As for other regions like Ionia they believed both so either or will come for them.
Oh intriguing, I never even though about how each region could interpret kindred differently! Thats super interesting! Thank you for letting me know :)
The most fascinating thing about kindred in my opinion is, that wolf has a lot of emotions but he doesn’t understand them and lamb has no emotions but she knows a lot about them, so the way she explains Wolfe what he feels is so heartwarming
After Evelynn and Warwick, Kindred is one of my most enjoyed champs. Jungle OR Bot! The voice lines are poetry. The design is divine. The meaning is terrifying.
Kindred is one of the most well designed characters along with the best voice lines. One of my favorite parts of playing them is their lines. i think it's why despite being part of several skin lines that have cinematics they have never been in them because it would be so hard to write this character when they are already perfect. it'd be too easy to mess it up, i guess.
Every single one of Kindred's voicelines chill me, give me goosebumps. I absolutely love their lore, it's so fascinating and i could listen to the voicelines for ages-
SAME! I have a friend that when I showed her the voice lines, she keeps listening to the voicelines lol they are so fascinatingly beautiful and tragic! Absolutely obsessed! Thanks for watching :)
@@georgieegames haha, your friend sounfs a lot like me when i first heard them. I've decided to play Kindred more often just to hear the voicelines, and the moving splash art is so cool as well! I agree that it's so deep and tragic but it is but so amazing at the same time. Love your content, earned a sub from me! 😊
Lorewise Kindred is the Grim Reaper split into two. Wolf is there to hunt down those who try to outrun or outsmart death beyond their time, bringing a savage fate to them, while Lamb is the peaceful passing of those who accept their fate, making things quick with a single shot to the heart.
@@arminarlert1953 "Stood still" in life means you didn't really do much with your life or achieve anything. Therefore they fear (i.e. run from) death. People who feel they achieved all they wanted to and have no regrets are those who don't fear death.
Kindred isn't just death Kindred is the moment of death/the act of dying. Another example would be they are the light at this end of the tunnel. You only see Kindred when your died already.
kindred is basically the representation of death, the lamb with its bow and arrow, is the mercyful and gentle death, and the wolf is the violent death for the one who run from it, i love this champion so much
Kindred is one of my favorite when it comes to the league universe itself..A representation of death, shared within 2 souls acting as one. One calm and reassuring, the other cold and quick, always teaching each other. Their voicelines are beautiful, tho sad as they may sound. If i'm right, i think her spirit blossom skin lore explains even more of them. Normally the skins lore arent really important i think? But spirit blossom is kinda canon, as its not the ''character themself'' But spirits after death? Anyway, kindred's in there and i think there's more detail about them there.
There are many things in the game and lore that suggest once all life dies, wolf and lamb will join them by killing each-other. I find this to be a beautiful completion of their character, the emotional one who you'd expect to resist will eventually embrace it, and the one without emotion who you'd think would be unfased by death is the one who will attempt to flee. I think this ultimately shows that as time goes on they will learn from each-other. Wolf will learn so much his hunger is sated, thereby embracing death. Lamb will learn of and start understanding emotion, yet will not have the time to experience enough of it, and so will want to resist death. This builds the tragedy of their character even more imo, as eventually being the only beings in existence wolf will want to move on an lamb won't, turning on the other and ending in them killing each-other. Their deaths could mean two different things too. One interpretation is that as they live to the end of time and become more similar to the other they will be unable to exist as separate entities any longer and so will eventaully "die", killing each-other by merging. The tragedy here is that not only will the grey man not have a friend anymore, but all other creatures are dead, so he must exist for ever by himself. The other is that they die the same way all other creatures do. I'm also lead to consider my favourite lines from them: "Those who run from death... stood still in life" and "The only true death is to never live" In a sense wolf represents living life to the fullest, embracing his emotions and learning of the world with wonder and curiosity. Lamb on the other hand is sadly the opposite, a representation of the cold, distant approach to life, living purely by logic without the love and joy of others around you. As lamb runs from death we see that she stood still in life, she never did anything truly worthwhile because she was too busy being cold. The 2nd line holds a sentiment similar to "there's a difference between surviving, and living", that doing nothing in your life is really the only way to truly die, to not only die, but to be forgotten (like the Egyptian idea that there are two deaths, the physical one, and the last time your name is spoken). "True death" is the fate of the distant and cold through their lives being forgotten and drowned out by more memorable emotions (lamb is killed by wolf), and "false death" is the fate of the passionate and warm, through the physical seperation between us and the source of our memories, but even if they're not with us anymore, they are "distant" we still have memories to hold on to (wolf is killed by lamb). In the end I think this indicates that the 2nd interpretation of their deaths (that they die as all creatures do) is that once you die you are either the "forgotten dead" or the "remembered dead", and that lamb and wolf will no longer be together as wolf is remembered and lamb is forgotten. Never one... without the other.
Hi, great reaction. To provide some background, Kindred represents the Grim Reaper or Death (Pale man), Kindred's job is to capture the doomed (if it breathes, it has to meet them,) Those who submit die a quiet quick death at the hands of the lamb, those who try to escape are hunted down and brutally torn by the wolf. Also, as some have pointed out, the lamb carries the mind and the wolf carries the heart, so the lamb understands emotions but cannot feel them, while the wolf feels emotions but cannot understand them. Some dialogues revolve around misunderstandings that arise from this split of heart and mind. In general, I recommend that you take videos of voiceline reactions that also show the occasion on which the line is spoken. You'll see what I mean if you look at Kindred's special interactions. These are voicelines to determine champions or occasions. Reacting to those special interactions of kindred would also make great content. Also, I recommend that you know the story of a character before you hear the voicelines so you can understand it better. If you listen to the voicelines again, knowing that Kindred represents death, their meaning is much more understandable I really enjoyed your reaction and my advice was meant more as help than as criticism
As can be concluded by some voicelines, Lamb doesn't feel emotion, but remembers everything they even did, while Wolf doesn't remember much, but instead exists entirely in his emotions. Also, obviously, Lamb embodies the peaceful death, of people that accept their mortality, while Wolf embodies violent, sudden death for people that try to run from it. Fun fact: Also, as taken from the voicelines, we can assume that Lamb is actually blind. Considering Wolf tells her what he can see, and she doesn't know what she looks like to people.
I beg to disagree on the part where Lamb may be blind. My proof to this is that you can't shoot arrows and hopping around while blind. In contrast, I believe Lamb is very perceptive. I assume their relationship dynamic is like child (Wolf)-older guardian(Lamb), thats why Lamb answers so much of Wolf's questions.
Another awesome video, kindred has IMO the best lore of all LOL champs. The man that split himself in half was death, that's why everyone shunned him, because they had to meet him eventually. People who accept death, they get taken by lamb, the ones that struggle, get chased by wolf.
I like the idea that wolf wants you to to fight for your life but lamb wants you not to suffer. Thanatophobia is a hell of a thing and listening to this is actually helps. You were very right about wolf and lamb in your conclusion.
Kindred is like a grim ripper, but if the person that will die accept its faith, it'll shoot by lamb by its arrow and I'll die peacefully or will die naturally. If it runs, Wolf will hunt it and it'll die in horrible way. Everyone will meet Kindred even Aurelion Sol (the creator of the Universe) itself. So basically all people die in Arcane probably meet Kindred, such as Claggor, Mylo & etc. Vander isn't included 👀
try pantheon, he has the best voice lines in league of legends (in my opinion) and his story is a very uplifting story about how mortals don't need the gods that only play and control the faiths of mortals.
The story Lamb telling when Wolf ask her to told him a story is their Origin !! The man in the story was the Grim Reaper of that world, his job were so lonely, so he split himself into 2 entity is Lamb (who inherit his kindness) and Wolf (who inherit his madness) !! After they're born, they continued their father's job. But now, they're not alone anymore !! "So he will always have a friend"
I get teary-eyed listening to them because I find Kindred sweet in a way the idea of a being feeling so lonely it split itself in half now its the two of them together forever *Never one without the other*
I had only heard these lines in songs about them... hearing them all like that almost made me cry !!! I liked it so much that we felt the same way. 😭😗😅
I recommend checking out SkinSpotlight's video for the full list of voicelines, this video only contained the longer ones. Furthermore, Kindred is a champion in Legends of Runeterra too, and they have a lot of voicelines there as well. Good video as always :3
when you were talking about the music; you were kind of looking for the right words... I feel like it's very melancholic, which makes it soamazing. Kindred is my absolute favorite character from League of Legends
Kindred to me is up there with Lissandra and Bard as the characters with the most interesting Lore in all of LoL. I can't wait to see you react to Lissandra particularly since she is my favorite champion
Kindred is a manifestation of death. Death was lonely so it split itself into two beings so it would always have a friend. Death is just part of life it's neither good not evil. The lines all impy that kindred is death.
Kindred is actually the twin essence of death or so more like "The Harbinger of Death" they represent 2 concept of death Lamb represents The Peaceful Death like deceased from oldness, plague or from sickness and Wolf represent The Ugly Death, murdered, slaughtered, killed etc. and also, they have different appearances or visuals across other regions of Runeterra.
holy crap! your guess on lamb not understanding the feelings of things was so close to spot on, and only slightly off! good job! i'm sure you've already read this, but lamb can understand emotions and feelings, but not feel them, where wolf feels all emotions, but cannot understand them. it makes for such beautiful storytelling!
u got EVERYTHING RIGHT kindred is one of my fave characters in lol. even tho u don't care about the game itself I do really recommend watching the in game spotlight because the give some more details and how her habilites make sense into character design ... but over all lovely vid!
i think that their theme song almost displays a descent into madness, and when the tones are soft it represents the lamb, but as they get more intense the wolf shines through
Also if you listen the piano is mostly the lamb and a cello plays for the wolf. More than a descent into madness feels like the hunt has just tarted and in the end with the soft and calm it is representing the hunt ended up with the victim's last breath
I would love if you could react to the other voiceline videos made by Just another nobody as well. The lines give a lot of insight to the characters. My personal favorite is Aatrox and Yoricks Voicelines.
watching this got me thinking about The man being the ferryman who takes souls to underworld to be judged, but who one day got too lonely to bear their life and so split themselfs in two to have a friend, soulmate and someone to be there with them helping them bear their duty or punishment whichever ferryman's duty would be. ps: yup seems i was right about that conclusion on their origin and yeah its not hard conclusion to come to but i never thought of the story of the man as their origin but more of a story lamb tells to wolf to calm/comfort/intrigue him but yeah that trailer animation really showed how much it is their origin story. "What does kindred do? Avatar of Death: Kindred is a god of death, responsible for the passing of living beings to the afterlife. More of a function than a power, Kindred will come to those that are close to death, and take them to the beyond."
So Kindrid is basically a psychopomp, A personification of death. If you accept your death the lamb will gently guide you to the afterlife, but if you run from it the wold will chase you down and tear you apart. The pale man with dark hair was basically death and because death is scary and no one wants it to be around it he was lonely that's why he cut himself into two beings.
Kindred is like a God of Death or the Grim Reaper of Runeterra Lamb being the death of mercy kills people who welcomed or honors death in their arms Wolf on the other hand hunts down those who defile, refuse death runs away from this fate cowards on dying And each factions of Runeterra have their own unique traditions around Kindred
Whoever created this character at riot knows how to make a character. Kindred is so beautiful, not sexualised, has a lot to explore lore wise, interesting gameplay and great looks wise.
I am so invested in the lamb and wolf story , they are so mysterious 😮 The piano represents Lamb gentleness while the violin or chello was used to represent Wolf's aggressiveness
Since 1865 when the texts started to be posted at the forum, I was around and till today I know one thing thats never change. Pretty much every character is conected to a bigger lore, that connects an hobbit hole, going down theres for sure something deep, probably sad, or worst... Happy but will shows like it is in real life.
Yeah, login screen moved once upon a time. There were special login screens for different characters/themes/events with their own soundtrack and sometimes voice acting.
I like to also think of kindred and the "pale man" origins as a way to explain a lot of Runeterra's resurrection and other characters who avoid death. Essentially that because the pale man split himself to create kindred or change himself, it changed how death works. Under the pale man death was more of a true end, but under kindred there is rebirth. This would help explain things like Aatrox curse, the shadow isle, or how Mordekaiser can keep returning. Also could tie Fiddlesticks taunt to kindred in meaning that if the merged into the pale man again it would be like the true end returns (ragnarok/Armageddon type event)
Hi Georgie, as always, loved this video! I don't know if you've received this request already, but maybe you could react to funny/wholesome/rival interactions from the Legends of Runeterra game. You might find some interesting lore quotes from champions and their relationship with each other, as well as some other crazy stuff to learn about their personality too! (sorry for my english, it's not my first language lol).
11:12 The majority of champs have themes (some of the oldest don't... yet) but they used to play on the old animated login screen which isn't used anymore, so 'Login Screen' and 'Champion Theme' are the same thing. The newer champs' theme videos show many pieces of concept art during their development to make the video more visually interesting.
You know the quotes are incredible when you sit in silence and anticipate what's coming next. You always comment while watching champions but here you just say still in awe. Kindred is just beautiful. In all aspects.
I get emotional about kindred because of the idea of them being together "Forever More" separate but one to never have to be lonely ever again. *Never One Without The Other*
It goes like this: The Kindred are the physical form of death, if you accept death with love and lived a good life the sheep runs you through with its arrows, if you squandered your life and see death as an enemy, the wolf hunts you. Basically it was cut in half because everyone just wanted to run away from the man so he had no other way to make a friend.
Kindred is the coolest vevrsion of the grim reaper i’ve ever seen, and im so sad ill never be able to take a consept like that anymore because kindred is already such a masterful design
The tale of "The Grey man" Refers to the absolute death. And we mean, death itself. That's why she says "All things must meat this man...". They are the representation of the ways of dying. The lamb, for those who accept death peacefully and ambrace it as they should. Wolf, the counterpart, represents the death chasing those who think they must not die. We are showed in legends of Runeterra cards, that lamb and wolf are just ONE of many kindred spirits representations.
Just something I noticed that the wolf actually sounded like a child asking questions so there's a hint of Innocence even in the wolf when it seems like the lamb even though the voice sounded peaceful there was a hint of aggression as well as they told the story towards cutting himself into two with an axe so there's a hint of the wolf there too
You should reacto to Warwick's (The Werewolf you saw in Zaun hunting 2 people) voice lines, interactions and theme, because they are beautifully linked to Zaun's lore. BTW: Love all your reactions to League of Legends and Genshin Impact, you are the best! Greetings from Mexico 0u0
ill second everyone that have mention it already: Kindred is "The" Grim reaper, the aspect of death, the "thing that all living things meet". so the "lonely" part is, well, no one welcomes "death". Thus, kindred is just the personification of a grim reaper (or "the" grim reaper) as hunters, symbolic of both peaceful and brutal death. ....overall...very cool champion ^^';
Actually, The lamb is the one who sounds innocent, but she knows a lot more than wolf, she understands. While wolf is actually the innocent one, but he can not understand, though he is the one that can feel empathy. Thats why lamb does not know what those tears mean. Wolf telling us to run and cower and flee could be him saying we should live meaningful lives , while lamb is the short way out.
Kindred also known as Gray Man is the representation of death itself, he split himself in two which created The Lamb and The Wolf. Lamb represents Kindred's merciful side and she kills those who accept death with a quick and precise arrow. Wolf represents Kindred's violent and brutal side and he devours the souls of those who fight and run from death.
Lamb: A quick, painless end to those who accept their fate. Though Never one without the other... Wolf: A very painful and violent end should you refuse to accept your fate and run will end in Wolf's fangs. But never one without the other...
the login screen shows you a fallen king or prince and lamb and wolf are coming to get him. you can see how the face of the man turns slighty into a skull when wolf comes closer to his head.
Wolf must be pissed at a certain Necromancer
Yeah, although Morde is still technically dead, so not sure how they feel about him xd, but they are for sure mad at Gankplank for escaping them once.
Naaah more like the end of everything.
one of the varius reapers and the most known and old one, the only of the masked reapers that is know by humans even in the territory of the other masked reapers, for that reason their spirit blossom skin and yes its canon, for that is how Ionian people see Lamb and Wolf
@@Kaddahn not really, kindred can die too if forgotten, and there is a creature that kills the masks too. And kindred's masks are created by "the mother", mask maker. As long as their story is known they live
and to be honest forgetting death is hard
I'm hoping in the mmo when your character dies that Kindread appears and that respawn points have representations of Kindread's masks.
@@airistal Ye that would be dope, and maybe depending what race u choose u see a diffrent kindred
That is why Fiddlesticks says “Gray man” to Kindred, as their biggest fear is being alone again.
interesting take, I love it, but it is wrong. fiddlesticks, calls great spirits and demons by their name.
Its a beautiful and intressting depiction of death, and yes I agree its also my favorite.
Top 3 for me. Up there with Death of the Endless and DEATH from Discworld.
I love kindred’s lore and they are one of few champions where I like all of their skins, I’m also slightly biased because I love wolves and love how kindred embodies the concept of death
Kinda sad we won't be getting Kindred-level of interesting champion releases all the recent ones are so generic

actually wolf is the more "innocent" part of both, since it does feel everything but dosent understand, while lamb understands everything but dosent feel
My cousin is a kindred main and he said the same thing word for word
i mean... is he really though? the real arguement of who is more innocent depends on if actions or thoughts are more evil, if the thought of doing evil isnt there while doing evil is worse, then wolf is the bad one, if actions with the thought of doing evil is there while doing good is worse, then lamb is the bad one.
personally i dont think either are, both are just as wicked as the other, but its not like they have a real choice now do they?
@@ailospjellok7475 there is no one bad or good its just death they do one thing
@@ailospjellok7475 well... that argumant is wrong but first:
They are death themself:They are not evil or good, they are there.
Kindred is incredible, magical characters as Kindred or Aurelion Sol are the ones I enjoy the most when they appear in the lore.

"Tomorrow is a hope, never a promise" is one of my favorite quotes ever
*Kindred is easily my favorite incarnation of death across all media.*
"There was once a pale man with dark hair who was very lonely. *Why was he lonely?!* All things must meet this man, so they shunned him."
" *They know we'll come!* Yet they are never prepared." " *They race from us!* Only to find us sooner." " *How old are we, Lamb?* Older than those whose footsteps are long vanished." Also, when they taunt Ekko, Lamb says: "We know your name child. Woven across countless almost-lives."

Wow these are some of the best champions in the game ! I didnt know they all came out in the same year
@Kirine Sin you mean Fortnite character?
Champions these days are utter trash and undoubtedly broken in their kits.
SAME! It is so hauntingly beautiful, I listen to these voicelines all the time hahaha
Ori and Gris, omfg such beautiful games! Gris broke me fkin hell...
The voicelines of this champion always make me just tear up. Its just amazing how a few sentences can create such strong emotion within a person
To think that you knew nothing about Kindred only to know everything about them in a couple of voicelines.
Like how lamb is intelligent yet indifferent to feelings.
And how wolf is rife with emotions yet innocent.
Kudos to your means of observation
Kudos to the writers of this wonderfully made character
In Kindred's story, the "pale man" is them before they split into two.. they're the death symbol in Runeterra and kind of Yin and Yang as well.. there's darkness in the Lamb and light in the Wolf. Lamb gives the ones that accept death a painless passing and Wolf brutally murders those who run from death. One is deaf, the other can't see. One can understand emotions, but can't feel, the other can feel, but can't understand.
Um, none of them are deaf or blind?
@@codebracker Lamb: I wonder how they see me
Wolf: what sounds do they make?
@@mlinxl9090 Well what sound do they make would make sense but they are constantly talking to eachothers so wolf can't be deaf. I think it just means wolf can't remember what that sound is, just like how he calls tears water
As for "how they see me", it doesn't mean how do they look, it's just showing how emotionless lamb is, she doesn't understand the perspective of others.
@@codebracker but then wolf replies with “ashes on wool” so I’m pretty sure they’re talking about appearance, same with wolf lamb replies with “feathers falling on fresh snow” so she is describing the sound. @@mlinxl9090 well they see people to chase them and they talk to eachother, so obviously not
When i think about the grey man, i imagine that he represents the primal fear of death, when there wasnt rational life or civilizations, when the concept of death didnt exist, animals just die without understanding the meaning of it, it was just the natural cycle of things to be follow, be born, grow, breed, die.
Just like lamb said "the true death, is to never live"
Edit: cool thing about the lore is that it is very conceptual, you can give a meaning to it, the meaning that for you makes sense, i just really love this champion holy shit
When the time of death comes, if the person accept their death, lamb will send them of peacefully with arrow, but if they try to flee, wolf will follow them and give them a horrible painful death. They say when you are about to die, you meet lamb and wolf, together known as kindred
The best way to describe Kindred is "Hauntingly Beautiful"
They represent death so in many voice lines just think death is talking and according to lore they are the most powerful as everyone have to die
"Lamb is the innocent one" I died. I love watching new people get in to the lore and learning about it, we get funnies like this.
Every single one of Kindred's voicelines chill me, give me goosebumps. I absolutely love their lore, it's so fascinating and i could listen to the voicelines for ages-

Lorewise Kindred is the Grim Reaper split into two. Wolf is there to hunt down those who try to outrun or outsmart death beyond their time, bringing a savage fate to them, while Lamb is the peaceful passing of those who accept their fate, making things quick with a single shot to the heart.
"Those who run from death stood still in life" is such an incredibly profound line.

@@arminarlert1953 "Stood still" in life means you didn't really do much with your life or achieve anything. Therefore they fear (i.e. run from) death. People who feel they achieved all they wanted to and have no regrets are those who don't fear death.
@@dtmuffinman oh i see ty
Kindred isn't just death Kindred is the moment of death/the act of dying. Another example would be they are the light at this end of the tunnel. You only see Kindred when your died already.
kindred is basically the representation of death, the lamb with its bow and arrow, is the mercyful and gentle death, and the wolf is the violent death for the one who run from it, i love this champion so much
kindred is SO interesting! I absolutely love this champion too! Can't wait to play them :D
I'm also lead to consider my favourite lines from them:
"Those who run from death... stood still in life" and
"The only true death is to never live"
In a sense wolf represents living life to the fullest, embracing his emotions and learning of the world with wonder and curiosity.
"Never one... Without the other..."
Words of lovers, Lone family members of two, and best friends...
If you listen to the voicelines again, knowing that Kindred represents death, their meaning is much more understandable
I really enjoyed your reaction and my advice was meant more as help than as criticism
I would highly recommend the voice lines for Aatrox and Pantheon. They have some of the most emotional and well written lines imo.
Fun fact:
Also, as taken from the voicelines, we can assume that Lamb is actually blind.
I think after reacting to Pantheon's skins and story you can also check out his voice lines. I find them really cool and motivational!
No no no, I think you might get it wrong. Aurelion Sol is the creator of the stars.

I just finished the last video and clicked back to your channel when it ended and saw this "uploaded 37 seconds ago"
i think that their theme song almost displays a descent into madness, and when the tones are soft it represents the lamb, but as they get more intense the wolf shines through
Also if you listen the piano is mostly the lamb and a cello plays for the wolf.
Kindred is like a God of Death or the Grim Reaper of Runeterra
Lamb being the death of mercy kills people who welcomed or honors death in their arms
Wolf on the other hand hunts down those who defile, refuse death runs away from this fate cowards on dying
And each factions of Runeterra have their own unique traditions around Kindred
Whoever created this character at riot knows how to make a character. Kindred is so beautiful, not sexualised, has a lot to explore lore wise, interesting gameplay and great looks wise.
Wow that was incredible. Your reaction was so similar to mine and great to see. These voice lines are so surprisingly interesting
Oh yeah you should also react to Aatrox and also Pantheon's voicelines, they are so good as well!
I am so invested in the lamb and wolf story , they are so mysterious 😮 The piano represents Lamb gentleness while the violin or chello was used to represent Wolf's aggressiveness
The greyman translate to death. He is lonely coz no one wants to meet death.. Lamb is peaceful death and wolf is pailnful death
Hadn't really thought about it before, but how true is the quote "those who run from death stood still in life"?! WOW
Kindred is one of my favorite characters, and I would love if you reacted to their Legends of Runeterra interactions.
It's very cool to me that they login screen has only 2 instruments to represent lamb and wolf
I’m super looking forward to more voice lines and theme reactions! Kled, Pantheon, Jhin etc.
Aatrox voicelines are also sad and scary but you dont hear his interaction to other champions because you're gonna be crying by laughter lol
Is it normal that kindreds voicelines always seem to calm me down. They are my comfort character.
I get emotional about kindred because of the idea of them being together "Forever More" separate but one to never have to be lonely ever again. *Never One Without The Other*
Love Kindred, its such a beautiful concept.
I recommend you also react to the Aatrox voice line video, he has a surprising amount of depth to his character which can be seen in the vid.
Kindred is such a great design, I absolutely love the whole dynamic between the 2 of them.
Top 2 character in league imo.
We are showed in legends of Runeterra cards, that lamb and wolf are just ONE of many kindred spirits representations.
meat💀
Just something I noticed that the wolf actually sounded like a child asking questions so there's a hint of Innocence even in the wolf when it seems like the lamb even though the voice sounded peaceful there was a hint of aggression as well as they told the story towards cutting himself into two with an axe so there's a hint of the wolf there too
11:11 Kindred's soundtrack is perfect in representing the MACABRE and the ELEGANT
Kindred is my favorite, i love the character design and their themes
Kindred is one of my favourite League characters. I just love the duality of those two.
You should reacto to Warwick's (The Werewolf you saw in Zaun hunting 2 people) voice lines, interactions and theme, because they are beautifully linked to Zaun's lore.
BTW: Love all your reactions to League of Legends and Genshin Impact, you are the best! Greetings from Mexico 0u0
ill second everyone that have mention it already: Kindred is "The" Grim reaper, the aspect of death, the "thing that all living things meet". so the "lonely" part is, well, no one welcomes "death". Thus, kindred is just the personification of a grim reaper (or "the" grim reaper) as hunters, symbolic of both peaceful and brutal death. ....overall...very cool champion ^^';
death smiles everyone, no matter who or what they are. All we can do,is smile back
Actually, The lamb is the one who sounds innocent, but she knows a lot more than wolf, she understands.
While wolf is actually the innocent one, but he can not understand, though he is the one that can feel empathy.
Thats why lamb does not know what those tears mean.
Wolf telling us to run and cower and flee could be him saying we should live meaningful lives , while lamb is the short way out.
every time lamb asks to wolf "what every story have in common" and he respond "They end" i think of one piece
Lamb: Says something ominous about others deaths and killing
You: aw
You should listen to NaturesTemper's reading of Kindred's story a Good Death. It's trully the last piece of the puzzle to understanding Kindred.
Hey the unbreakable spear pantheon rework voice lines are crazy inspirational I'd recommend watching it.
I am so happy you are touched by them. To me they are the best lore in the Whole League of Legends champions
11:10
The higher notes are the Lambs footsteps as the lower notes are the wolf growl
The old login screen introduced every new champ like this. With their own theme music and animation.
the login screen shows you a fallen king or prince and lamb and wolf are coming to get him. you can see how the face of the man turns slighty into a skull when wolf comes closer to his head.
