Another example is the encounter with Garen: "Garen, brother, pls dont hate me." In this case u need to know that their home, Demacia is all about hate for mages and any kind of magic. Sadly Lux, Garens sister, is a mage, so this quote refers to Garens fear about his sister.
@@AvanteReacts The voice has this wheezing quality that alternates between inhumanly high and low, that's because its done with one of my favorite vocal techniques, Ingressive Phonation (commonly used by some metal harsh vocalists to hit whistle-fry screams, or tea kettle screams, as well as by some bass singers to go down into the 0 octave off of the keyboard.) Singing or vocalizing inwards in any way is both incredibly dangerous (due to the air pressure forced onto the vocal cords in the wrong direction essentially) and incredibly gnarly sounding. You can achieve some of the highest and lowest vocal pitches doing it and it has this horrifying quality that made it the perfect technique for Fiddlestick's voice. They are a creature, an ancient spirit, with absolutely no human anatomy or vocal chords. The voice sounds exactly like it should for such a character, this scratchy, painful sounding bastardization of the english language. It sounds like a creature attempting to poorly mimic the last words of it's victims, because that's exactly what it is.
Fiddlesticks repeats things he heard people say before he killed them. He also says people's biggest fears and deepest secrets. That's why you also hear a pig squeal and horse neighing. Guess it has killed some animals. For other demons he calls out their name. A demons name is a powerful thing and that's why he says them out loud when he interacts with them.
Fiddlesticks has a unique interaction when he interacts with other demons. Namely, Nocturne, Tahm Kench, Evelynn and the demon in Swain's hand (Raum). Everytime he encounters these demons he mentions the emotions that they feed on. When he sees Evelynn he says "agony" because she specifically likes torturing her victims and when you choose Fiddlesticks to play he says "Fear" as he feeds on the fears of living creatures.
He calls Kindred ‘Grey Man’ in reference to the ‘Pale Man’ that they once were. Hinting that Kindred’s greatest fear is becoming a singular entity again, and thus returning to their loneliness.
@@KuroiTenshi19 Possibly. It’s hard to say with Fiddlesticks as to whether it really ‘knows’ anything or is just repeating something that would terrify someone. Mainly with the other demons it’s kind of nebulous if it knows them by name, or if it’s referencing classic demonology in which knowing their name implies power over the demon, thus fear.

@@rustkarlit doesn't necessarily have to be omniscient, like it only knows it's primal concept in beings but don't have a grasp of the knowledge that comes with it. Like it doesn't know what it says just that it is their fear.
I think looking at Necrit's analysis into Fiddle's voicelines would definitely help you get context into what these voicelines represent and his demonolgy video would help with the End of Men First of Ten.
First of all, since he is the demon of fear he feeds on it. Fiddlesticks is ancient so he doesn't understand the world and tries mimicking it. Probably through trial and error he knows reciting dying words of people you knew would make you terrified and delicious. The other thing is when Fiddlesticks encounter other demons he greets them by name and only them. Nocturne, Tahm Kench, Evelynn, Raum (Swains demon). Later in the kill quotes he cites the emotion they feed on, just like he feeds on fear. For others he cites their famous quotes like their champion pick lines or stuff they shout during their ultimate etc. To explain some of the lines, Riven was the suspected murderer for killing the master of Yasuo, Vayne's parents were killed by Evelynn and we hear their last words to her, Yasuo killed his brother Yone, Sarah Fortune's mother was killed by Gangplank.
Fiddlesticks is one of the first things that has born in the universe and he has been “sleeping” for centuries. He doesn’t know how to speak, so he search the deepest fears and tries to replicate the voice from its victims to make them afraid and get stronger. I think it would've helped you immensely to know that most of the quotes are the last of things Fiddlesticks hears. He just attempts to mimic what he heard. So it can be stressed out farmers talking how someone went out to the fields and it's been three days (presumably Fiddlesticks killed them and he killed the people saying this afterwards). Or two kids talking about it and one of them saying "Fiddlesticks is just a fable, a story to scare children" or any other quote. The quotes hit really different once you know this. It's almost as if Fiddlesticks is telling the player a hundred stories about the people (or animals) he killed.
Fiddlesticks is using the fears and traumas of people against them, mimicing the voices of people that he killed or that he plucked out of peoples traumatic memories. The reason he says "Grey Man" to Kindred is that the only thing they fear is being alone again. Thats the reason Death, the "grey man" split itself into the Lamb and the Wolf in the first place, so he would always have a friend. Fiddlesticks knows that and taunts them with their fear of loneliness. "Im always here my little hero" to Nunu. This is mimicing his mother who always used to call him her little hero. "Annie, help me, Annie" to Annie. This might be one of her parents or her sister crying for help, almost definitely someone from the cinematic we saw who she killed. "Garen, brother, please dont hate me" to Lux. Magic is illegal in Demacia, so when Lux used Light magic as a child she was afraid she was evil and that her brother and everyone else would hate her. "Jinx, all your fault, all your fault" to Jinx. Should be self explanatory from Arcane. "Guilty Guilty Guilty" to Riven. Part of her story, its a bit long but she is guilty of killing the Ionian wind master even tho everyone assumes it was Yasuo. This might be a voice from her trial or just scaring her in general. "Vannis, dont hurt her" to Sylas. Sylas is one of the main parts of the mage civil war in demacia. Vannis was his master teaching him to be a mageseeker, but Sylas wanted to protect a little girl who had magical abiltiies. She died unfortunately and Sylas fights against the oppression of mages now. "Vayne, give us a smile" to Vayne. Mimicing her parents again, she was always grumpy as a child and her parents wanted her to smile. "Hide Sarah, hide" to Miss Fortune. Her name is Sarah, this was most likely her mother who told her to hide before she got murdered. He just calls the Demons by their names. Not sure if this is the case in LoL lore but its not uncommon that knowing the true name of a Demon actually gives you some power over them in a lot of fiction, so this might be a way of scaring them. He says "Raum" to Swain because thats the name of his demon.
Fiddlesticks is The Fear Demon, the most powerful and ancient of all demons. He is the primordial evil that pushes the entire world forward, probably coming into existence from the very first scream of creation. He is overall the third most powerful being in League of Legends lore (beaten only by Aurelion Sol and Kindred). He feeds on the primordial emotion of fear, an emotion that all species are capable of feeling and it has stalked Runeterra for so long that every species fears the mention of its name. Fiddlesticks can't speak like you or me, they can only repeat the last words of whoever they killed - or in some situations, say things that correspond to a person's deepest fear. For example, when he sees Sylas he says "Vannis... don't hurt her!". Vannis was Sylas' mage seeker mentor and Sylas accidentally killed him, it is his biggest regret in life. Or when he sees Garen he says "Garen... Brother... please don't hurt her." Garen despises mages, but when he learned that his sister - Lux is a mage, it almost broke him and it is his biggest fear in life. Fiddlesticks itself isn't really sentient and it doesn't even know it exists. It is simply an uncontrollable, unstoppable dark force of pure evil. And NO, the scarecrow is not Fiddlesticks, the demon is inside the scarecrow and he is just using it as a vessel. As he says himself he is "Fiddlesticks, End of Men. Fiddlesticks FIRST OF TEN!" He was the first, and he is the source of the legend about the First Ten. The first ten, are primordial demons. The story is about 10 kinds, 10 kinds where one king consumed the rest. So it is possible that once upon a time - there were 10 demons, but Fiddlesticks consumed the rest. You could say that Fiddlesticks is THE physical embodiment of fear, he is immortal because as long as there is fear in the world (any fear, which there will be) then he will continue on existing)
Makes sense as to why he is busted in the right hands in terms of gameplay, the raw damage that a Fiddlesticks can output in a teamfight out of absolutely nowhere with his W and R is nothing short of living up to expectations. Also Fiddlesticks is a dark and terrifying force, but not at all evil, as evil implies sentience. Fiddlesticks is nature, there is no guilt or sense of wrong and right, it just does and is.

Considering The 10 are probably all ancient Demons like Fiddlesticks they’re also the key emotions from which all other demons stem as the ones when know right now are from Fiddlsticks line, Nightmares, Addiction, Secrets, Agony are all children of Fear. One of his skins imply that the key stolen is the key to Joy and I read enough Warhammer to know Joy isn’t always a positive and is genuinely terrifying. @@fist-of-doom487 Yes, though perhaps he didn't consume them in their entirety as we currently know of one other Ancient Demon, that is Ashlesh, the Demon of Joy. AKA the Demon that Nilah commands. Ashlesh gave Nilah power and in exchange he destroyed her entire emotional spectrum so he could feed on her emotions and erased her from the memories of everyone who ever knew her.
Power scaling is weird. In the context of the demons I definitely believe that Fiddlesticks is the most powerful, but overall it’s hard to say. I feel like Fiddlesticks is powerful because it won’t stay gone, it won’t die because Fear is ever present. So even if you could best it, it will come back somewhere. Characters like Aurelion I can believe level towns easily, where Fiddlesticks prefers to hunt them down rather than blow them all apart with overwhelming power. That said, Ashlesh, presumably a younger and weaker sibling to Fiddlesticks could contend with the Celestials to the point they thought it enough of a threat to seal personally. So maybe Fiddlesticks simply doesn’t display feats of power because it doesn’t have to, should it encounter an Aspect or Celestial, it might just prove to be more than their match.

In all honesty, what exactly Fiddlesticks is in context of other demons isn't really entirely clear right now. With the release of Nilah, it's most likely that the 10 are demons representing the primal emotions, the first of them being fear. We know that the demon controlled by Nilah is the primal demon of joy.
So there are a couple of different types of voicelines for fiddlesticks, but remember, it doesn't talk, like conscious talking, all of it's voicelines are mimicking stuff. It doesn't have the ability to speak or talk in a way that makes sense. It just repeats the last thing it's victims said. It does that to give fear to it's victims, it feeds on fear. - For champion encounters, fiddlesticks says stuff related to that champion inner fears/traumas, like Annie help me referencing Daisy's death, or mimicking Yone when encountering yasuo. -When killing the champion, fiddlesticks will mimick something that champion used to say, like Garen says for Demacia. - When encountering other demons, fiddlesticks just says their names. That's why it says "Raum" when encountering Swain. - But when killing other demons fiddlesticks says the thing those demons are associated with. Like when it kills Swain and the demon that is with Swain, fiddlesticks just say secrets. Or for tahm kench it says addiction. - The rest of voicelines are either animals or breathing being mimicked by it or things it's victims said before dying. - He even mimicks the songs and poems people sing, songs that are believed to just be songs to scare children. So there's none of it's voicelines that it said on will, by itself. It may not have the capacity to think of words by itself. When it says first of ten, it is in reference of the first original kings/demons, that fiddlesticks eventually ended up consuming. There's an official chart with fiddlesticks at the top, and the other demons branching from it. Like a hierarchy.
Some of the quotes from Fiddlesticks are actually just repeating the opponent. Like Riven's and Jinx's quotes. So definitely something the opponent would say before they die, your theory is correct. Also, Nunu is the boy, and Willump is the yeti.
It took half the video, but you got it! He cannot speak, he repeats. And he repeats what others have said, either in the last moments as he hunts them to death or as part of their most traumatic memories. The exception being the other demons, those he acknowledges by name. You should look up a lore dive for this champion, there's some insane lore behind it. This would also answer your questions better than we could.
To understand what the hell fiddlesticks is talking about you need to know both quotes and lore from other champions.... But on jinx you were correct tho not directly a arcane quote.... Pantheon quotes are amazing just for what it is and without context but just like this you will run into issues of missing things that you just don't got understanding of
Fiddlesticks is incapable of learning the meanings behind words, and he can't think for himself. but he can see your fears immediately, all the voice lines he has either repeat someone's dying words, or the words that the person he speaks to wants to hear the least

The short of it is that Fiddlesticks can't technically talk, he is just mimicking sound he heard. So the lines like "where are you I can't see you" is just the last words of people he killed, which is terrifying

The most important thing to understand fiddlesticks voices is that he uses people's darkest and deepest fears against them. It also mimicks the voices of his victims and the last things they say. Especially the ragged and labored breathing and the animal sounds. Listen to them in that context and you realize a lot of Fiddlesticks victims were running and very likely injured before he caught them. Fiddlesticks is incapable of talking on his own. He's like a crow or a raven. He can mimic things he hears, but he can also hear and see the fears of the people he's stalking. As a demon that feeds on fear, he tends to mimic the fears he sees in you to evoke more fear from you before he kills you, but he also anglerfishes people by using the more innocent lines he picks up to draw people out. He says his name a lot because he's a legend that has been spread all over runeterra, so a lot of people not only knew his name, but many of his victims probably knew exactly what was trying to kill them in their final moments. The "First of ten" is a reference to "The legend of the ten kings" which in this case is teorized they were demons(fiddlesticks being one of them) and that fiddlesticks ate them all

Evelynn, Nocturne, Swain, Tahm Kench - He just repeats a demon's name (Raum is the demon that is inside Swain). Garen - Garen, brother, please don't hate me - Garen hated mages and when his own sister Lux told him she is a sorceress that was the biggest trauma for him. Jinx - Jinx, all your fault, all your fault - you are correct, it's a reference to Arcane. Kindred - Grey Man - This is the name of the entity before he split himself into two parts (Lamb and Wolf) with an axe. Lux - Little light - Sylas was imprisoned in Demacia and Lux was helping him escape as she took a liking to him. Little light is what Sylas called her. Miss Fortune - Sarah, Sarah - When Miss Fortune (Sarah) was a kid she witnessed her mother's death by the hands of Gangplank and that's what her mother screamed at her (along with Hide, Sarah, hide). After that, Gangplank also shot Miss Fortune in the chest, but she survived. There's a cinematic for Fiddlesticks' rework (he's a pretty old champion in the game, so they reworked him into the monstrosity that he's now. Old Fiddlesticks was a joke compared to this one), called "Terror in Demacia". *SPOILERS IN CASE YOU DO WANT TO WATCH IT ON YOUR OWN* It follows the story of two Demacian guards patrolling the woods and the moment one of the guards takes the sight off the other guard, whose name is Tedric, Tedric instantly disappears, only leaving behind his helmet. The first guard attempts to look for Tedric, calling out his name, and he can slightly hear Tedric's voice asking for help, just before he hears a very clear "HELP ME!" and as soon as he turns to look at the source of the nice, he's greeted by the sight of the lovely scarecrow standing there motionless holding a lamp. He starts to slowly lower his arms in a very erratic way, and in a sudden twist, he moves his head towards the guard and rushes at him at an insane speed. Where am I going with this? The scream heard at 13:01 is Tedric's voice, the one scream we hear during the cinematic.

The most important thing imo with fiddle and especially his voice lines is that you gotta know its not his words, (you got it at some point after I wrote this gj) is the fears of his reapings or the legit last words of them. btw. bc u mentioned it alot, yes aatrox voice lines give alot of perspective to the character but you wont be able to understand them aswell if you dont know his story so what I would recommend is to read the aatrox story on your own before or even in the video, most of us lore nerds wont mind / actually appreciate it. The line (fiddlestick first of ten, fiddlesticks end of men) is a reference to him being one of the primordial demons and consuming them.
ALL of Fiddle's voicelines,or well, a lot of them are directed towards other champions, and they are references to their backstories. Annie's for example, the one u heard first, u can understand if u have seen the cinematic of her. Fiddle is all about FEAR. Its quotes that arent to champs are the things some people said and it heard, many of these were the last things its victims said just as you noticed YEP

The reasons why it makes a lot of sense that Fiddlesticks is incredibly powerful are: First of all Demons in general are very strong, maybe doesn't seem like that when you just look at what they can do in League but each of them is incredibly strong in general Next up we know that each demon feasts on a different emotion, for example we have agony for Evelynn or joy for the newest addition Ashlash (which is also a good example of what demons can do as it forces it's current host to feel joy for the rest of her life without stopping while having to fight monsters but that's not the crazy part yet. That is that it's host, Nilah wasn't originally called Nilah but instead was just a little girl that heard stories of Ashlash that challenged the gods, failed and was banished deep under the earth for it and that girl found out that Ashlash was sealed below her and tried to find this demon to become a Hero. And she did! But as the pay off she didn't just have a new identify she also takes or anything like that, no her original identity was wiped from history and the memory of everyone that knew her just like that, I mean do you know how crazy that is, especially when it's done by a trapped demon that didnt get to eat too much in a while for being banished??? P.s. sorry that that was so long) But yes Fiddlesticks is the demon of fear, aka one of, if not the most primal of human emotions which also seems to point to just how power he should be Lastly there is a ton of other things that were released alongside Fiddle about Demonology and that again put fear on the very top of the chart and itwent down from there, pointing at Fiddle being the first of all Demons on runeterra once more together with the "First of ten, End of Men line" Also you should definitely watch the song that exists for fiddlesticks, sorry that all of this got this long and I went on a bit of a tangent there to show how crazy demons can get sometimes

Tahm isn't addicted to anything (as far as we know), he's a demon of addiction, just like Eve is a demon of agony, Raum is a demon of secrets and so on. All his encounter lines for demons are calling their name and the kill lines are what the demon feeds upon.
So to sum it up, most of Fiddlesticks quote just repeats traumatic events that other character's had happen, for example Nunu was called "my little hero" by his mother, Annie is at fault for pretty much all her family dying but that one specifically calling out for help should be her sister, "Garen please don't hate me" mostly is about Garen finding out about Lux being a mage and being at fault for this whole brutal revolution happening right now and to add to that the man she trusted but ended up starting this revolution called her little light and so on. For quotes like Raum for Swain he directly talks about the demon he has in his arm, Raum the demon of secrets. The same is going on with Tahm and Evelynn, he just knows their real names
To sum it up, the quotes of Fiddlesticks mostly are just about the trauma of other champions, the real names and the emotions that the other demons are afraid of, the legend of fiddlesticks and lastly just things he heard from victims
6:34 "First of Ten" is a reference to the Ten Kings or Ten Great Kings. Ten of the most powerful race of demons that roamed Runetera at one point, put to slumber due to unknown events. Until Fiddlesticks, First of Ten was awakened from his slumber.
He calls Kindred Grey man because he knew kindred before he split into wolf and lamb. Basically he is one of those beings that been their since the begining of runeterra's creation. Also all of his voice lines are stuff he either heard before killing his victims or stuff he learned from other being deepest fears. Also all the champions he jsut calls their names like Evelynn and Nocturn are also Demons.
Also to answer some more questions, Garen is refrence to Lux, because she is Garens sister a mage and Demacians hate mages and they both are from Demacia. So she's asking he brother not to hate her because she is a mage. Annie half sister fell in a river, annie tried saving her but didnt have the strenght to hold on. Basically fiddle is a d!ck and taunts people with the thing they fear the most.
This literally reveals the worse fears or traumatic events the other Champs went thru. In case of Annie those lines are the ones her sister said before drowning. Kindred Grey man line is a reference of kindred being the grim reaper or death. As nightmarish demon, fiddle just bares the fears of the Champs

He's never really saying his own words. Think of him as Bumblebee from Transformers, he says the words he heard from other people. For example when he says "it's in the house", he's not talking to himself, he is mimicking the voice of, probably, a whole family that he killed, and in that scenario they were saying these words, don't know if my explanation is clear at all, I hope it is😉
The thing about Fiddlesticks, is that he can only repeat what he’s heard. Meaning that he’s been present to hear and repeat what these champions/ champions companions have said/ done.

Singing or vocalizing inwards in any way is both incredibly dangerous (due to the air pressure forced onto the vocal cords in the wrong direction essentially) and incredibly gnarly sounding. You can achieve some of the highest and lowest vocal pitches doing it and it has this horrifying quality that made it the perfect technique for Fiddlestick's voice. They are a creature, an ancient spirit, with absolutely no human anatomy or vocal chords. The voice sounds exactly like it should for such a character, this scratchy, painful sounding bastardization of the english language. It sounds like a creature attempting to poorly mimic the last words of it's victims, because that's exactly what it is.

Fiddlesticks repeats things he heard people say before he killed them. He also says people's biggest fears and deepest secrets. That's why you also hear a pig squeal and horse neighing. Guess it has killed some animals. For other demons he calls out their name. A demons name is a powerful thing and that's why he says them out loud when he interacts with them.

Fiddlesticks has a unique interaction when he interacts with other demons. Namely, Nocturne, Tahm Kench, Evelynn and the demon in Swain's hand (Raum). Everytime he encounters these demons he mentions the emotions that they feed on. When he sees Evelynn he says "agony" because she specifically likes torturing her victims and when you choose Fiddlesticks to play he says "Fear" as he feeds on the fears of living creatures.

It’s hard to say with Fiddlesticks as to whether it really ‘knows’ anything or is just repeating something that would terrify someone.
Mainly with the other demons it’s kind of nebulous if it knows them by name, or if it’s referencing classic demonology in which knowing their name implies power over the demon, thus fear.

I think looking at Necrit's analysis into Fiddle's voicelines would definitely help you get context into what these voicelines represent and his demonolgy video would help with the End of Men First of Ten.
First of all, since he is the demon of fear he feeds on it. Fiddlesticks is ancient so he doesn't understand the world and tries mimicking it. Probably through trial and error he knows reciting dying words of people you knew would make you terrified and delicious. The other thing is when Fiddlesticks encounter other demons he greets them by name and only them. Nocturne, Tahm Kench, Evelynn, Raum (Swains demon). Later in the kill quotes he cites the emotion they feed on, just like he feeds on fear. For others he cites their famous quotes like their champion pick lines or stuff they shout during their ultimate etc.
To explain some of the lines, Riven was the suspected murderer for killing the master of Yasuo, Vayne's parents were killed by Evelynn and we hear their last words to her, Yasuo killed his brother Yone, Sarah Fortune's mother was killed by Gangplank.

He doesn’t know how to speak, so he search the deepest fears and tries to replicate the voice from its victims to make them afraid and get stronger.
By the way, fiddlesticks is not the scarecrow, but the demon inside of it. The ancient fear.
I think it would've helped you immensely to know that most of the quotes are the last of things Fiddlesticks hears. He just attempts to mimic what he heard. So it can be stressed out farmers talking how someone went out to the fields and it's been three days (presumably Fiddlesticks killed them and he killed the people saying this afterwards). Or two kids talking about it and one of them saying "Fiddlesticks is just a fable, a story to scare children" or any other quote.
The quotes hit really different once you know this. It's almost as if Fiddlesticks is telling the player a hundred stories about the people (or animals) he killed.
Fiddlesticks is using the fears and traumas of people against them, mimicing the voices of people that he killed or that he plucked out of peoples traumatic memories.
The reason he says "Grey Man" to Kindred is that the only thing they fear is being alone again. Thats the reason Death, the "grey man" split itself into the Lamb and the Wolf in the first place, so he would always have a friend. Fiddlesticks knows that and taunts them with their fear of loneliness.
"Im always here my little hero" to Nunu. This is mimicing his mother who always used to call him her little hero.
"Annie, help me, Annie" to Annie. This might be one of her parents or her sister crying for help, almost definitely someone from the cinematic we saw who she killed.
"Garen, brother, please dont hate me" to Lux. Magic is illegal in Demacia, so when Lux used Light magic as a child she was afraid she was evil and that her brother and everyone else would hate her.
"Jinx, all your fault, all your fault" to Jinx. Should be self explanatory from Arcane.
"Guilty Guilty Guilty" to Riven. Part of her story, its a bit long but she is guilty of killing the Ionian wind master even tho everyone assumes it was Yasuo. This might be a voice from her trial or just scaring her in general.
"Vannis, dont hurt her" to Sylas. Sylas is one of the main parts of the mage civil war in demacia. Vannis was his master teaching him to be a mageseeker, but Sylas wanted to protect a little girl who had magical abiltiies. She died unfortunately and Sylas fights against the oppression of mages now.
"Vayne, give us a smile" to Vayne. Mimicing her parents again, she was always grumpy as a child and her parents wanted her to smile.
"Hide Sarah, hide" to Miss Fortune. Her name is Sarah, this was most likely her mother who told her to hide before she got murdered.
He just calls the Demons by their names. Not sure if this is the case in LoL lore but its not uncommon that knowing the true name of a Demon actually gives you some power over them in a lot of fiction, so this might be a way of scaring them.
He says "Raum" to Swain because thats the name of his demon.

He is the primordial evil that pushes the entire world forward, probably coming into existence from the very first scream of creation. He is overall the third most powerful being in League of Legends lore (beaten only by Aurelion Sol and Kindred). He feeds on the primordial emotion of fear, an emotion that all species are capable of feeling and it has stalked Runeterra for so long that every species fears the mention of its name.
Fiddlesticks can't speak like you or me, they can only repeat the last words of whoever they killed - or in some situations, say things that correspond to a person's deepest fear. For example, when he sees Sylas he says "Vannis... don't hurt her!". Vannis was Sylas' mage seeker mentor and Sylas accidentally killed him, it is his biggest regret in life.
Or when he sees Garen he says "Garen... Brother... please don't hurt her." Garen despises mages, but when he learned that his sister - Lux is a mage, it almost broke him and it is his biggest fear in life.
Fiddlesticks itself isn't really sentient and it doesn't even know it exists. It is simply an uncontrollable, unstoppable dark force of pure evil.

The story is about 10 kinds, 10 kinds where one king consumed the rest. So it is possible that once upon a time - there were 10 demons, but Fiddlesticks consumed the rest.
You could say that Fiddlesticks is THE physical embodiment of fear, he is immortal because as long as there is fear in the world (any fear, which there will be) then he will continue on existing)
Makes sense as to why he is busted in the right hands in terms of gameplay, the raw damage that a Fiddlesticks can output in a teamfight out of absolutely nowhere with his W and R is nothing short of living up to expectations. Also Fiddlesticks is a dark and terrifying force, but not at all evil, as evil implies sentience. Fiddlesticks is nature, there is no guilt or sense of wrong and right, it just does and is.

@@fist-of-doom487 Yes, though perhaps he didn't consume them in their entirety as we currently know of one other Ancient Demon, that is Ashlesh, the Demon of Joy. AKA the Demon that Nilah commands. Ashlesh gave Nilah power and in exchange he destroyed her entire emotional spectrum so he could feed on her emotions and erased her from the memories of everyone who ever knew her.
Power scaling is weird. In the context of the demons I definitely believe that Fiddlesticks is the most powerful, but overall it’s hard to say.
I feel like Fiddlesticks is powerful because it won’t stay gone, it won’t die because Fear is ever present.
So even if you could best it, it will come back somewhere.
Characters like Aurelion I can believe level towns easily, where Fiddlesticks prefers to hunt them down rather than blow them all apart with overwhelming power.
That said, Ashlesh, presumably a younger and weaker sibling to Fiddlesticks could contend with the Celestials to the point they thought it enough of a threat to seal personally.
So maybe Fiddlesticks simply doesn’t display feats of power because it doesn’t have to, should it encounter an Aspect or Celestial, it might just prove to be more than their match.

In all honesty, what exactly Fiddlesticks is in context of other demons isn't really entirely clear right now. With the release of Nilah, it's most likely that the 10 are demons representing the primal emotions, the first of them being fear. We know that the demon controlled by Nilah is the primal demon of joy.

So there are a couple of different types of voicelines for fiddlesticks, but remember, it doesn't talk, like conscious talking, all of it's voicelines are mimicking stuff. It doesn't have the ability to speak or talk in a way that makes sense. It just repeats the last thing it's victims said. It does that to give fear to it's victims, it feeds on fear.
- For champion encounters, fiddlesticks says stuff related to that champion inner fears/traumas, like Annie help me referencing Daisy's death, or mimicking Yone when encountering yasuo.
-When killing the champion, fiddlesticks will mimick something that champion used to say, like Garen says for Demacia.
- When encountering other demons, fiddlesticks just says their names. That's why it says "Raum" when encountering Swain.
- But when killing other demons fiddlesticks says the thing those demons are associated with. Like when it kills Swain and the demon that is with Swain, fiddlesticks just say secrets. Or for tahm kench it says addiction.
- The rest of voicelines are either animals or breathing being mimicked by it or things it's victims said before dying.
- He even mimicks the songs and poems people sing, songs that are believed to just be songs to scare children.
So there's none of it's voicelines that it said on will, by itself. It may not have the capacity to think of words by itself.
When it says first of ten, it is in reference of the first original kings/demons, that fiddlesticks eventually ended up consuming. There's an official chart with fiddlesticks at the top, and the other demons branching from it. Like a hierarchy.
Some of the quotes from Fiddlesticks are actually just repeating the opponent. Like Riven's and Jinx's quotes. So definitely something the opponent would say before they die, your theory is correct.
Also, Nunu is the boy, and Willump is the yeti.
Fiddlesticks only speaks in two ways. He either says his victims last words or what the person fears the most.
It took half the video, but you got it! He cannot speak, he repeats. And he repeats what others have said, either in the last moments as he hunts them to death or as part of their most traumatic memories. The exception being the other demons, those he acknowledges by name.

To understand what the hell fiddlesticks is talking about you need to know both quotes and lore from other champions.... But on jinx you were correct tho not directly a arcane quote.... Pantheon quotes are amazing just for what it is and without context but just like this you will run into issues of missing things that you just don't got understanding of
Fiddlesticks is incapable of learning the meanings behind words, and he can't think for himself. but he can see your fears immediately, all the voice lines he has either repeat someone's dying words, or the words that the person he speaks to wants to hear the least

You hit the nail on the head when you said his voice lines are mostly the last things people say before he kills them. In the vast majority of cases that's true. Especially the ragged and labored breathing and the animal sounds. Listen to them in that context and you realize a lot of Fiddlesticks victims were running and very likely injured before he caught them.
Fiddlesticks is incapable of talking on his own. He's like a crow or a raven. He can mimic things he hears, but he can also hear and see the fears of the people he's stalking. As a demon that feeds on fear, he tends to mimic the fears he sees in you to evoke more fear from you before he kills you, but he also anglerfishes people by using the more innocent lines he picks up to draw people out. He says his name a lot because he's a legend that has been spread all over runeterra, so a lot of people not only knew his name, but many of his victims probably knew exactly what was trying to kill them in their final moments.
Your guess about kindred is spot on. Fiddlesticks refers to kindred as grey man because the fable is true. Kindred used to be one entity, and there's an argument to be made that this is fiddlesticks latching onto the only thing the personification of death may fear. The reason he split himself. Loneliness. This also may be fiddlesticks showing kindred respect, referring to them in a way he refers to other demons. By name.

It says things like "fiddlesticks is just a story to scare children" and other things involving its own name, almost as a taunt to anyone who dares to not believe that its real. All the animal noises are also victims as well, it is literally just a natural ancient force, its not sentient or aware, anything that can fear, it feeds off of, animals, humans, etc.

I'm a year late, but here are the explanations to his first encounters with champions:

Kindred - Grey Man - This is the name of the entity before he split himself into two parts (Lamb and Wolf) with an axe.
Lux - Little light - Sylas was imprisoned in Demacia and Lux was helping him escape as she took a liking to him. Little light is what Sylas called her.
Miss Fortune - Sarah, Sarah - When Miss Fortune (Sarah) was a kid she witnessed her mother's death by the hands of Gangplank and that's what her mother screamed at her (along with Hide, Sarah, hide). After that, Gangplank also shot Miss Fortune in the chest, but she survived.
Riven - Gulty, guilty, guilty - Riven broke her sword and when she returned to the vilalge where she broke it, she realised the village elder died because of her. "Gulty" is what the villagers called her.

She is a mage, in demacia, a place that's against mages and would imprison a mage or kill them, Garen being one of the head of the military guards in demacia is really against magic, so Lux hides her powers from him, because she is afraid of what he might do to her if he finds out, hint the "Brother don't hate me".

Since everyone has already explained a good portion of what Fiddlesticks is, I'll go ahead and throw in my two cents.
There's a cinematic for Fiddlesticks' rework (he's a pretty old champion in the game, so they reworked him into the monstrosity that he's now. Old Fiddlesticks was a joke compared to this one), called "Terror in Demacia".
*SPOILERS IN CASE YOU DO WANT TO WATCH IT ON YOUR OWN*
It follows the story of two Demacian guards patrolling the woods and the moment one of the guards takes the sight off the other guard, whose name is Tedric, Tedric instantly disappears, only leaving behind his helmet.
The first guard attempts to look for Tedric, calling out his name, and he can slightly hear Tedric's voice asking for help, just before he hears a very clear "HELP ME!" and as soon as he turns to look at the source of the nice, he's greeted by the sight of the lovely scarecrow standing there motionless holding a lamp. He starts to slowly lower his arms in a very erratic way, and in a sudden twist, he moves his head towards the guard and rushes at him at an insane speed.
Where am I going with this? The scream heard at 13:01 is Tedric's voice, the one scream we hear during the cinematic.
Alright so basically fiddles voice lines are the fears of every champ so for instance riven...she was found guilty of killing yasuo's sensei and he reminds her of it by repeating guilty when he first sees her in game
fiddle uses other's fear and insecurities against them. he will say the things that will mentally torment his victim. like with Annie, when he says "annie. Help me. Annie" he is mimicing daisy, her step sister that died in the river
The most important thing imo with fiddle and especially his voice lines is that you gotta know its not his words, (you got it at some point after I wrote this gj) is the fears of his reapings or the legit last words of them.
btw. bc u mentioned it alot, yes aatrox voice lines give alot of perspective to the character but you wont be able to understand them aswell if you dont know his story so what I would recommend is to read the aatrox story on your own before or even in the video, most of us lore nerds wont mind / actually appreciate it.

Last comment unrelated to Fiddlesticks, if you do Aatrox you should probably also look at Aatrox's theme and do the same for Pantheon because I just love both of their themes and voice lines and they are both connected and basically feel like opposites
Lastly a fin fact, the voice of fiddlesticks was not edited at all, the voice actor is just incredibly talented
The reasons why it makes a lot of sense that Fiddlesticks is incredibly powerful are:
First of all Demons in general are very strong, maybe doesn't seem like that when you just look at what they can do in League but each of them is incredibly strong in general
Next up we know that each demon feasts on a different emotion, for example we have agony for Evelynn or joy for the newest addition Ashlash (which is also a good example of what demons can do as it forces it's current host to feel joy for the rest of her life without stopping while having to fight monsters but that's not the crazy part yet. That is that it's host, Nilah wasn't originally called Nilah but instead was just a little girl that heard stories of Ashlash that challenged the gods, failed and was banished deep under the earth for it and that girl found out that Ashlash was sealed below her and tried to find this demon to become a Hero. And she did! But as the pay off she didn't just have a new identify she also takes or anything like that, no her original identity was wiped from history and the memory of everyone that knew her just like that, I mean do you know how crazy that is, especially when it's done by a trapped demon that didnt get to eat too much in a while for being banished??? P.s. sorry that that was so long) But yes Fiddlesticks is the demon of fear, aka one of, if not the most primal of human emotions which also seems to point to just how power he should be
Lastly there is a ton of other things that were released alongside Fiddle about Demonology and that again put fear on the very top of the chart and itwent down from there, pointing at Fiddle being the first of all Demons on runeterra once more together with the "First of ten, End of Men line"
Also you should definitely watch the song that exists for fiddlesticks, sorry that all of this got this long and I went on a bit of a tangent there to show how crazy demons can get sometimes

Tahm isn't addicted to anything (as far as we know), he's a demon of addiction, just like Eve is a demon of agony, Raum is a demon of secrets and so on. All his encounter lines for demons are calling their name and the kill lines are what the demon feeds upon.

So to sum it up, most of Fiddlesticks quote just repeats traumatic events that other character's had happen, for example Nunu was called "my little hero" by his mother, Annie is at fault for pretty much all her family dying but that one specifically calling out for help should be her sister, "Garen please don't hate me" mostly is about Garen finding out about Lux being a mage and being at fault for this whole brutal revolution happening right now and to add to that the man she trusted but ended up starting this revolution called her little light and so on. For quotes like Raum for Swain he directly talks about the demon he has in his arm, Raum the demon of secrets. The same is going on with Tahm and Evelynn, he just knows their real names
To sum it up, the quotes of Fiddlesticks mostly are just about the trauma of other champions, the real names and the emotions that the other demons are afraid of, the legend of fiddlesticks and lastly just things he heard from victims

Until Fiddlesticks, First of Ten was awakened from his slumber.
He calls Kindred Grey man because he knew kindred before he split into wolf and lamb. Basically he is one of those beings that been their since the begining of runeterra's creation. Also all of his voice lines are stuff he either heard before killing his victims or stuff he learned from other being deepest fears. Also all the champions he jsut calls their names like Evelynn and Nocturn are also Demons.
Also to answer some more questions,
Garen is refrence to Lux, because she is Garens sister a mage and Demacians hate mages and they both are from Demacia. So she's asking he brother not to hate her because she is a mage.

He's never really saying his own words. Think of him as Bumblebee from Transformers, he says the words he heard from other people. For example when he says "it's in the house", he's not talking to himself, he is mimicking the voice of, probably, a whole family that he killed, and in that scenario they were saying these words, don't know if my explanation is clear at all, I hope it is😉
The thing about Fiddlesticks, is that he can only repeat what he’s heard.
Meaning that he’s been present to hear and repeat what these champions/ champions companions have said/ done.
