Glad I'm not the only one that takes seats out for dog crates! This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you for sharing!

Thank you for this NS. This video has been the answer to our prayers.
We need to remove the 2nd row of seats from our 2019 Highlander o make room for a very large - 125 pound - Shiloh Shepherd dog who has back issues. We had no idea how to remove the 2nd row seats until we found your excellent and comprehensive video.
The problem for our dog is that there isn't enough clearance between the font and second row seats to allow the dog to squeeze comfortably into the back. Also the seats themselves aren't long enough for large dogs and he barely stay on the back seat because it's so narrow.
We hope that removing one or maybe both 2nd row seas will turn our Highlander into a minivan-like like vehicle that our poor old guy can access more easily because there will be a wide open space in back. Wolfgang (our dog ) and I want to thank you!

Thank you! I wanted to remove a seat for my wheelchair that fits too awkwardly in the rear! We need to tell Toyota to make these quick removable as standard. It would open up so many options for us!

Thank you! So smart! We've been looking for years how to remove our Pathfinder 2nd row for our dogs. This video has given us the information to figure it out. We just happen to have a plastic automotive tool set that allowed us to remove the plastic floor panels with ease.

Very helpful. Just purchased a 2022 Highlander. Plan on doing same for our dog.

Hey, curious if you have done this on your Highlander. If so is it the same procedure? Any difficulty? Thanks.

@@burglekut I had the dealership remove the driver’s side middle captain chair since it was a new vehicle. I probably could have done it, but I couldn’t get a straight answer if the airbag would deploy when unplugged. Sounds dumb, but I read somewhere it was a possibility. I then cut a piece of plywood to fit the area and added padding and a large dog bed. Also adding an after market net between the front seats to keep dog from climbing on the center console. I know many will say she should be in a crate for the car, but we hardly go anywhere and like her to see out. Anyway hope this helped.

Do you have an issue with the warning notification for the airbag? If not do you know what the dealership did to get rid of the warning?

@@kbnikto6056 is there a warning light lit up on your dash for airbag? If not did the dealership tell you how they removed the warning?

    Thanks for this!
Question: what tool did you use to remove the bolts?
Because mine aren't doing the trick...
