    I am so impressed by how you made the long tail , the rope and wood solution is so inventive. I am guessing this was borrowed from the boat builders in Thailand. Going to borrow this solution for my current project, really well done! Thank you

      Thanks the design i copied from a guy called hien thich che on youtube.
      If you do it make sure to use a driveshaft that is 5/8” large because the end tends to snap off close to the engine on my 3/8 driveshaft.
      If you can the best way would be to make the driveshaft from a single piece a 5/8 rod around 100” long and machine the threads at both end. I cant do it because the price would be astronomical at a machine shop.

      Makes me want to give it a shot,,just curious about the rope,,it looks good and a pretty neat trick,,how does it last,,with it being cotton and lubed,,it doesn’t try to cook with the heat it creates,,and how much heat does it create
