I have a similar problem to the one Apple Jack has in this episode. I am more than willing to help other people if they ask me to, but when I need help, I find it very hard to ask. It's something I've had a problem with for a very long time and I still struggle with it to this day. I'm not against receiving help, I just have trouble asking for it.
That play on words and that cut scene to wacko nearly made me pee my pants in laughter. Your entertaining reviews of MLP has really piqued my curiosity in the series. I just might have to go ahead and give it a look.
I've heard that Derpy's crossed eyes were originally an animation error, but since the fans caught on to it, and loved it, they decided to keep them on her.
I don't see what was so wrong with seeing sick ponies. It wasn't dwelt upon for long, and was basically just another instance showing that Applejack was exhausted to a dangerous degree.
Going through these reviews, an idea came to me. Could Big Mac's injury have had anything to do with the Granny's Girdle incident Ticket Master was leading up to? If it was, then I think I can understand Applejack's reluctance to ask for help, given her part in it.
Funny how this was supposed to be my last episode before I stopped and said I was sorry to the Bronies and left it like that...then that Applejack line...I was hooked to the end and good thing this is where pony cruelty started, plus I loved twilight's dry "no shit" humour - seriously I'm positive she doesn't even like Fluttershy - Rarity I still forgot existed due to her non-presence however little did I know she would soon be "best pony" and I was slowly on my way to joining this wonderful fandom. It's great returning to these memories after a year!
What about Spike? He even has his own episodes. How is that "only being shown when he is needed. He even appears in most episodes and is a developed character.
... he does have a real personality. He is a kind and loving brother to Applejack and Apple Bloom. He can be very stern at times. He doesn't often say much because he doesn't need to say much.
This was the first episode of MLP FIM that I actually watched on TV! Waaaaay back on November 4th 2011! After seeing many YTP clips of ponies, I became curious as to why so many people loved it! It was a show aimed at girls, after all! I decided to tune in to this on Boomerang, and BOOM! I instantaneously became attached to the show! I would like to thank this episode for making me the brony that I am today! :)
That's pretty subjective. I remember Fluttershy, Rainbow, Pinkie, Rarity, and Twilight for who they are. And Applejack never really does anything to begin with.
I seriously don't understand how the bunny stampede couldn't be avoided. If Applejack could just understand that she's not an expert in herding rabbits, this would've never happened.
What animals can talk as dogs and cats can't talk also aside from one dragon non of then eat meat only gems as imagine if Garbel licked his lips and was planning on eating Spikes pony friends ?
I think this is a pretty good episode. Not great, but still pretty solid. I like some of the jokes revolving around how tired Applejack is and how she manages to screw up things in new different ways, the moral is pretty good, and I feel like this episode so far can have a higher replay value than the last few episodes. While the other episodes like Ticket Master and Friendship is Magic are fine episodes, when I watch them more and more, I see more and more problems and I unfortunately enjoy them less. While I'll admit the more I watch this episode, the less I enjoy it and the more flaws I saw in it, but it didn't hurt the episode like it did for those other episodes for me and I still really enjoy the episode even today. My rating for this episode: 3 out of 5 Stars Silver It almost got a 4 if it wasn't for some of the issues I had with the episode that was pointed out in the review. Still would recommend it.
Really? You're surprised cows can talk I mean considering the shows characters are ponies you're surprised cows can talk (walks off to contemplate mankind's intelligence)
00:04:39 Holy shit, did the writers really put that in as an adult joke? Or are we just seeing things that aren't there? Imagine a parent walks into the room and hears that line outside of context.
Even Spike? You know, one of the main characters? He shows up in nearly every episode, has episodes that revolve entirely around him, and is as developed as the rest of the main cast.
The sickroom joke worked for me personally because something like that actually happened to me when I was a kid. BTW, never accept free juice from the lunch ladies.
I think that the point of applebuck season is that the apples taste better at that time of year. I've noticed that apples taste better at certain times of year, so maybe the Apple family realized that too, as well as their consumers, and are trying to make as much as a profit as they can by selling as many apples as possible.
This is probably unrelated to the review, but I just gotta ask...why DO you hate Mayor Mare? I've been meaning to ask you this but never got the chance to. What is it about Mayor Mare that has you hating her?
If Twilight really cared about her BBBFF, she would have mentioned him from the beginning, rather than at the end of the 2nd season. Male characters in this show are only ever shown or mentioned when their utility is needed; that is misandric.
I went back and watched that part, and I'm not sure it was an intentional reference; there was none of the music from that scene in LK, none of the characters behaved like they did in the movie (like scrambling up a tree, carrying somebody to safety, or getting dragged under the stampede). It was still a funny scene though.
For a while he didn't use the point system but after seeing keep calm and flutter on he decided to use it so he can point out were the episode succeeds and where it fails without making it seem like a failed a episode out of no where. I believe he started using it in secret of my excess.
I'm not sure what you mean by that. What determines if someone's remembered for what they do instead of who they are? Because Spike is very important to Twilight as her assistant. Mr. and Mrs. Cake are Twilight's guardians and she loves them very much. Shining Armor is Twilight's brother and as BBBFF shows, she really cares about him. How did you come to your conclusion?
That ending joke got me! XD The clip of Yakko's "goodnight, everybody!" was perfect for it.
I don't know if it's been mentioned but this episode is where the "Derpy loves muffins" meme started.
Rixlan now i know where she appeared
dragonvale19 and knowing is half the battle

Sarah Schuster I believe it is called trolling. And you should not feed trolls by replying to their comments.
Engel Ostermann I see. Thank you.
that sound a bit like AvPD ( I have it and thats one of the problem I have)
Albino Espeon AvPD? what does that stand for?
Sarah Schuster Avoidant Personality Disorder
Big Mac got hurt from that girdle mentioned in the last episode
ExpertoftheBlade you helped me learn what she was saying. Thank you.... um.... older expert
Ponies talking? Okay.
Cows talking? That's insane!!!
Yay he knows about night of the lepus
That play on words and that cut scene to wacko nearly made me pee my pants in laughter. Your entertaining reviews of MLP has really piqued my curiosity in the series. I just might have to go ahead and give it a look.
Hey, Derpy was in the background of this episode and her eyes were perfectly aligned. Does that mean she was brain damaged at some point?
yes :-(
Lunara Hunter timestamps would be nice...
I've heard that Derpy's crossed eyes were originally an animation error, but since the fans caught on to it, and loved it, they decided to keep them on her.
KoolredfoxPlays ok... but what is the in- cannon reason?
A good possibility, wouldn’t that make a interesting episode
AppleJack is my favorite pony
for some reason, the Muuuuuuriela part makes me laugh so hard
nice batman beyond reference XD
...Applejack looked... trippy. I'm sorry, okay? It just... I mean, look at that!
Ooo-ooh! Or at least drunk.
I don't see what was so wrong with seeing sick ponies. It wasn't dwelt upon for long, and was basically just another instance showing that Applejack was exhausted to a dangerous degree.
thats what i thought to
Wow, that Abe Lincoln quote at the beginning called me out 😒
Going through these reviews, an idea came to me. Could Big Mac's injury have had anything to do with the Granny's Girdle incident Ticket Master was leading up to? If it was, then I think I can understand Applejack's reluctance to ask for help, given her part in it.
That was it exactly. Bet Mr E wishes that was just a throwaway statement. But this also sets up somewhat that this show has continuity.
I'm pretty sure that twilight decides when she has limits
If cows can talk, yet are owned by the farm, us that like slavery, or...

Exactly! I actually find him to be the mist underrated character in the show!
What about Spike? He even has his own episodes. How is that "only being shown when he is needed. He even appears in most episodes and is a developed character.
This is my favorite Applejack episode, possibly my favorite season 1 episode.
Apple jack killed a town
1:48 so in other words twilights wasting her MP
1:47 because in equestria magic is obviously a precious commodity that cannot afford to be wasted
... he does have a real personality. He is a kind and loving brother to Applejack and Apple Bloom. He can be very stern at times. He doesn't often say much because he doesn't need to say much.

Welcome to the club! As a pegasister, I love the show.
Wait, the show is on Boomerang?!
in what country do you live?
in my country is on Discovery Kids
***** The United Kingdom! It's not on Boomerang any more, but it is on Tiny Pop.
TheCb508 ow, ok
I first watched the series when it premiered back in fall 2010.
That's pretty subjective. I remember Fluttershy, Rainbow, Pinkie, Rarity, and Twilight for who they are. And Applejack never really does anything to begin with.
Applejack was funny in this episode.

3 out of 5 Stars
Silver
It almost got a 4 if it wasn't for some of the issues I had with the episode that was pointed out in the review. Still would recommend it.
As facial expressions go, Dash pulled a pretty good one in The Ticket Master. You know the one.
Each of these characters are only part of the show for what they DO; they are not remembered for WHO THEY ARE as sentient beings.
At 3:48 that picture isn't from Applebuck season...
It's from swarm of the century.
4:07. Science lesson for the day..
Equines can't throw up... They will literally die if they have to try.
Really? You're surprised cows can talk I mean considering the shows characters are ponies you're surprised cows can talk (walks off to contemplate mankind's intelligence)

Okay, I find it hard to believe that Big Mac hurts himself seeing as though one episode he basically dragged someones house across the whole town.
lol the cupcakes really shouldn't have caused that kind of damage
Why is it that bad episodes end up only being funny because you laugh at what the writers put in a finished product
I'm kinda left wondering just what you expected from Applejack's baked bads?
Ultra Fast Pony has better transitions, and the only transitions Wacarb actually uses is *14 Hours Later* and *Meanwhile at Other Places!*
I think that the point of applebuck season is that the apples taste better at that time of year. I've noticed that apples taste better at certain times of year, so maybe the Apple family realized that too, as well as their consumers, and are trying to make as much as a profit as they can by selling as many apples as possible.
What about Mr. Cake, Spike, and Shining Armor?
What if u say no to help there will be a bunny stamped
The reason Rarity didn't say what Applejack was helping her was that AN wasn't helping her due to the fact they don't like each other.
This is probably unrelated to the review, but I just gotta ask...why DO you hate Mayor Mare? I've been meaning to ask you this but never got the chance to. What is it about Mayor Mare that has you hating her?
watch my last roundup review
TheMysteriousMrEnter [After Watching Last Round up Review]...Point Taken. Thank you Mr.E
+TheMysteriousMrEnter when are we gonna see some more mlp reviews
I never really got what was too dirty about that last line.
Is it sad that I'm afraid of Night of the Lepus
the puking pony is funny.
Sorry! I accidentally pressed send. I was asking when a new animated atrocity is coming out.
Applejack? You mean Big Macs background pony sister?
if *FRIENSHIP* is your weakest point
i think spelling is YOUR weakest point
MSIPP 37 you judgin abraham lincoln?
yes
dragonvale19 no, just enter
2:44 That got dark.
I wonder where Caramel is.
when did you become a brony?
for alll of his channels life span.

heh, muffins
How did you miss the Lion King reference?
+Renku Panda Same way I did. What Lion King reference?
Reg Fife
The rabbit stampede. It's not really shown here.
I went back and watched that part, and I'm not sure it was an intentional reference; there was none of the music from that scene in LK, none of the characters behaved like they did in the movie (like scrambling up a tree, carrying somebody to safety, or getting dragged under the stampede).
It was still a funny scene though.
Reg Fife
Ok the main part is when Lilly faints and the bunnies split and go around her.
It could of been a Orsons Farm reference with Bunny Rabbits is Coming ?
I like this episode. It involves one of my two favorite mane 6 (Applejack and Rarity) and there's a good lesson in the episode. 7/10
Ok, then give Big Mac a real personality.
Where are gbd
Why does Enter neglect using points in the top left for half of his reviews?
For a while he didn't use the point system but after seeing keep calm and flutter on he decided to use it so he can point out were the episode succeeds and where it fails without making it seem like a failed a episode out of no where. I believe he started using it in secret of my excess.
BlythePennyBicycle21 Thanks for correcting me.

:D
Why aren't you more famous
Are you sure this isn't an allegory for alcoholism?
Well, she _is_ named after an alcoholic beverage, so it's not unlikely.
+Cami Kace Talk about getting stuff past the censors or maybe, the FCC or Standards and Practices didn't care? Who knows?
Elchemist Gaming Her name being an alcoholic drink might be pure coincident, rather than intentional.
Cami Kace it was probably noted by the creators, but intentionally left in. Also, how is this episode an allegory for alchoholism?
Big Mac does not talk; he just says two words over and over because the female creator of this show was two misandric to create a real male character.
sho ahshum
Who
Actually, my favorite part of the episode is the bad muffin humor.
