I'm curious. How often, if ever, do those torque plates get 'calibrated/validated'? Is there a process to verify their integrity? I'm not challenging anything, I'm just curious if it's even a thing.
I not sure we're your going ..validated .. well I go over some of this in My many videos on honing my bore gauge read s in half thousands gauge is not moving I validated that with my other dial board gauge it reads tenths of thousands so I'm under or at 2 1/2 tenths of one thousand of 1inch taking the deck plate off the engine with the cylinder wall that closed is the validation is it 100% perfect probably not. it's not possible to hone with the real head on it head gasket and fasteners are used in honing operation to get as close as possible but it's better then nothing at all by a long shot Thanks for watching
