Don’t change your introduction! It’s you! It’s like a catch phrase and is very positive. I find myself saying it in my head when I say good morning to someone. Your tutorials are wonderful, your painting is beautiful and I love your sense of humour, including seeing what t-shirt or drink you will come up with. Thank you for being you!
Great video once again. I always like your humor very much. I ve been painting out in forest today. I would be very glad about a video that shows how to paint a valley like in the USA. With focus on such huge distances to everything. I saw once one with this feeling of a open wide valley. But dont know the artist right now. Maybe thats a good idea for a new video...
Good morning, afternoon, or evening wherever you are, has become a phrase that I look forward to hearing every Wednesday, please don't change it. I sat mesmerized through that whole tutorial. Beautiful scenery, hard to believe it was done with an Iphone! Amazing! Your talent is phenomenal, and I just enjoy watching these beautiful works of art appear as you work. Thank you for all you do, and continuing to produce these wonderful tutorials!
I got a smile on my face as I woke up this morning remembering that it was Watercolor Wednesday and you would be back today! Great Tutorial! Well done! Don't change your trusty trademark greeting! Love it!
Don't change a thing Paul! All of it makes your channel stand out, not least the fantastic teaching and tutorials. It's all part of your brand. What a beautiful location on a perfect English summer's day. Thank you!
Good morning afternoon or evening wherever you are! You can’t please all the people all the time, but this shows such an understanding and awareness that this is on demand and you have viewers all around the world. It’s always delivered so warmly and genuinely I see no reason for anyone to object to it. Quite the contrary it’s one of the things that drew me to your channel. Please keep it and your warm upbeat delivery. It’s obvious you enjoy what you do and that’s contagious. It’s never delivered like you’re bored. When you feel the need to change it yourself you’ll know!
Paul Your intro is just fine & there are people all over the world who watch you… wherever we all are. Leave it alone… it is just fine. Your lesson on the elliptical lines up the towers … genius! Makes perfect sense & hadnt realized that till now. You are most kind & generous to teach us what you do. Excellent lesson Paul. Im jealous of where u live… your countryside & the beautiful castles are just stunning. Thank you for what you do & how you continue to inspire us. Cheers!
I don’t think he said people are “fed up”. He said “perhaps its time for a change”. More like it was a suggestion to try something new. I didn’t take offense to it. Either way, I enjoy his chatter.
Love your intro, the t shirts, the format of the video, the music, some of your oft repeated phrases and above all your sense of humour. Line and Wash my favourite medium. Thank you for the video and great pics
Love your intro Paul. Wouldn’t be the same without it. Tutorials are fantastic. You explain everything so clearly. I really look forward to a Wednesday. So glad I discovered you 😊
Your introduction is part of your brand, along with your "trusty number 3 rigger"! :) I'm another vote for never changing it, unless you feel a powerful need to mix things up.
I must say, I love a line and wash painting but this one is very painterly with those soft, realistic reflections. A lovely castle, beautifully depicted. Thanks so much!
Don't change your introduction! I look forward to it as I do your wonderful and educational tutorials. Love your sense of humor and your cocktail choices for break time, don't change a thing!!
Please don't change your greeting. It is a welcome to your show that I've become accustomed to and love. Love the painting of the castle. You reminded me of a few things I've forgotten. Thanks for your good work and smiles!
You have your introduction just perfect! It’s short and sweet and not repetitive. Thank you for all of your amazing tutorials Paul. I am hooked on watercolor because you help push me past my comfort zones.
This was wonderful, start to finish. I'm so inspired to use this method. I look forward to Wednesdays, a cup of coffee and Paul Clark. By the way, don't change a thing!
Good morning Paul, I always look forward to Wednesdays. I wake at 4am as soon as I hear your cheerful familiar greeting I know it will be a great day. I love your work you are such an inspiration. As it will be 109 farenheit today in Arizona with 40 percent humidity, the castle scene is so refreshing. I love your greeting, your work and all the beautiful scenery.
I used to live in Sussex but I never visited Scotney Castle, and now I wish I had. It was so relaxing to watch the beautiful video of you all painting in the gardens and then your stunning tutorial; almost as good as being there. I’ve lived on Vancouver Island in Canada for the past forty-five years and painted in watercolour for forty of those years. If you ever come to Canada I would love to join your painting group. Until then I get immense pleasure from watching your tutorials. Thank you.
I agree with all the comments below to not change your intro. Its nice to know you are talking to all of us worldwide. You must had a large collection of T Shirts but they all portray what you are painting. Carry On Paul
Love your introduction - please don’t change ! Being in Canada is tough - I would love to join you on these wonderful painting outings but have to live vicariously/ through you all!
PLEASE keep your intro......Great because it is you it's personalized and it's great don't change it. That introduction helps my mindset for the rest of the video that you provide. It's great having you join us for lunch here in Michigan USA on Wednesdays. Even if it's a repeat day you do a great job, always feel fresh and new instruction even if I watched it 50 times
I like your introduction and that you don't follow the trend of "hi guys", "yo bro wassup" and the rest. I love the generosity of your free tutorials and drawings. I also love the occasional voice in the background saying "get on with it!" 😄
Beautiful place and painting. I’m hoping that I will be able to paint with your group in person at some time. Keep the greeting at the beginning of your videos-it never gets old. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and artistic skills. I learn something every time I watch.
First, a word about your introduction-- it's your signature! I wouldn't change it if I were you. I love the fact that you take us to so many beautiful places that we may never get to actually visit, it broadens my thoughts about all the beautiful places I might find in my own area to paint. Thank you for a great tutorial!
The line and wash is beautiful - I love the reflections. Very useful tips about perspective too. Thank you. As for your intro - it's your catchphrase and I think it's great!
Keep that intro! It's your trademark! And while we're at it, I look forward to your 'off we go' whenever you start a painting. I say that to myself now before the first brush stroke!
Perfectly content with the intro as is. It’s kind of my cue to settle in and pay attention because I know I’m about to learn something really cool. No need to change a thing as far as I’m concerned.
I love the introduction ! It is you and don’t change it. I always look forward to hearing the introduction. Loving your paintings, music and instructions. 😊
It is 13.52 in South Africa now. Your tutorials always pop up during my lunch time. PERFECT! Please don't change your greeting? It is always so friendly, heartfelt and fitting, since many of your followers do not reside in England. Thank you so much for another great video!
Please don't change your introduction - or anything!!!! You are a delight and I so appreciate that you are so generous sharing your time, talent, and humor. Just remember you can't please everyone so just be yourself!
I love your introduction and your sense of humor. Please don’t change it. Your tutorials are the best and I can’t wait to try this one. Thank you Paul.
Another great Line and wash series. Thank you. Having said that, this is your channel, you can introduce it in any way you want. We're here to learn and have fun, and reserve no right to tell you how to do things. If anything, everyone should be grateful for your free lessons.
I don’t know whether it’s because I haven’t seen a video in two weeks or what, but something felt different about this video. Then again SO much has happened in the USA since your last video. The environment that you create for your audience feels SO opposite of the environment our government is creating that it literally made me cry. Your videos are therapeutic. Your videos make me appreciate and remember the beauty in life. I for one feel grateful for all that you do…..thank you! 🙏
I’m from the US and I try to avoid the news. All of us are beautiful people when it comes down to it. Show love and kindness. I agree that Paul’s videos always bring joy to my day. A relaxing getaway from the ugly news reports.
Great video again as always. Thanks for the drawing tips. Do not change your intro it is you and your personality. I’m sure many of us say it with you before each tutorial. Thank you for keeping many of us inspired. Steve from Florida, USA
Thank you Paul. I wait and wait for pictures like these of the land side. Places where people really lived and worked and were a part of history. Plus the music made it all the more enjoyable. I'll be giving this a go!! Bless you for bringing such joy to my life☺️🍻
Paul- don’t change your intro! You are absolutely wonderful just as you are. My Wednesday is so much brighter because of you. You are so incredibly talented, but what truly sets you apart is your uncanny ability to teach and inspire. It’s so rare. Thank you for these amazing tutorials- my artwork has improved by leaps and bounds-you have helped me so much!
Intro -- I enjoy it every time! No matter what you decide, I'm sure your sincerity and warmth will shine through and that's what makes you so welcoming. And who doesn't feel good when you say "and we'll paint step by step this together." Eye Line tip -- super helpful to show what you mean with the lighthouse example! Thank you!
What drew me to your videos is your sense of humor and whimsy in your approach, but you are also a great artist and teacher. I would not change the intro. I love the videos of your sites you paint in England. I learned alot in this video and thank you.
No Paul, please don't change your introduction! It's very positive and encompasses everyone around the globe! I love when you show us film of your workshops and some footage of the castle, so very beautiful! Another beautiful painting that one day I can give it a go. Take care, Hello to Margot 😊 ps, also love the tips you give along the way...
I so look forward to that phrase and the tutorial that follows it. I can't always watch on Wednesdays and it's rarely at the same time of day, so it's lovely that your words recognize all the places your viewers are tuning in from. Thanks for all you do!
Stunning work of art. And no, don't change your intro. Unless you want to show how creative you can be 😊 you could propably make a lot of fun intros...but I say the one you have is a keeper 💪😊 I always say it out loud with you and it brings a smile to my face.
Don't change your introduction, it like apart of you! It is a great catch phrase and I totally think of you and your art. It's cheery and inviting! Thanks! 🙂
Don't you dare change a thing for the few!! They can shift off somewhere else if so shallow - your skill, your delivery, your fun and your personality is reflected in your art and in the channel - you and your skill make my Wednesdays and my week(fortnight). Please, please, please, don't change a thing. Xx
Please keep the greeting, It is so inclusive, no matter where we live!! Twelve hours away - on the other side of the world : ) THANK YOU, Paul, for the years you spent developing your skills and then so willingly sharing. As my grandson would say, "You're the BESTEST."
Beautiful painting Paul! Thank you. I appreciate you sharing your talent with us. 😉. As far as your introduction, I love it! It’s your “signature” so to speak. You don’t need to change a thing up. I often wonder why people must always find something to complain about. I think you need to keep your happy intro 😇❤️
I love that intro. There is nothing wrong with consistency and familiarity. I can only speak for myself, but I think it speaks to your character that you would always include your viewers place in the world. And to you sir, a good morning!
I love the intro! And it’s wonderful to be called “you lovely lot/people”. What a gorgeous place -a painter’s dream. Your rendition is stunning : ) Also appreciated your tips on perspective and ellipses. Another awesome tutorial. Now my day is complete! Thank you so very much Paul!
Paul, your channel is one of those rare channels which have conserved the timeless British aura. How you present yourself and this channel conveys the kind of person you are. Whenever i am stressed, your videos are my catharsis channel. Although many people have their own interpretations, but its best to be true to yourself. I would never want this channel to lose this sublime and serene quality. Kind regards
It’s such a beautiful and wonderful video! Totally an eye candy! Loved each second. Looks like I don’t want to paint for know . I just want to go on watching it n number of times. Thank you ! Much gratitude! You gave such wonderful tips for my deeply seated difficulties! Thanks again for all you do! I loved Margot’s dress and your shirt too😀All floral 😀
Down here in Australia I love the universality of your intro. It suits whatever time I manage to sit and watch. Thanks for the many and varied lessons, along with your wit and style. Don’t change a thing!
This is the best reflection instruction I've seen - love your opening comments! It's a reminder of how the artists (and wannabes) can be connected worldwide :) Were the critics your children or spouse? 🤣
Absolutely fabulous Paul and Scotney Castle looks beautiful. Love everything about your intros, so please don't change, it's what make you so special. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Sometimes Paul when I am lonely since I moved i will turn on one of your videos just to hear a familiar welcoming voice. I love your intro and all you do. Thank you
In a world already so full of change, it’s lovely hearing your familiar intro. I like it and always look forward to your tutorials. Thanks so much for sharing your time and knowledge.
Your intro is awesome. Have never grown tired of it. Please don't change it. It's your signature! Also, love this tutorial. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent.
Paul... Your brush makes a ballet on the paper... a waltz... Me and everyone else are grateful for the tutorials. I'm 68 and after 40 years I'm back to pencils and brushes and canson. I would like to take this opportunity to thank your colleagues Matthew White, Charles Evans, Shibazaki and Leonardo Pereznieto for helping and encouraging us. Each of you has its technique and particularities that help us to understand all the possibilities.
I just started watching this video and before I forget I want to put in my 2 cents....I LOVE your current introduction and look forward to it every week. Your cheery, warm voice and your T-shirts make my day. My vote, don't change a thing! Now to get my paints and follow along. Thank you for all you and Margo do.
Don't change a thing!....I love your introduction, your humor, the music, your plein air trips that make me feel I travel with you and of course, your beautiful paintings and your easy to follow instructions. Your generosity in doing these You Tube tutorials and providing line drawings are amazing! Thank you
There can't be a better day to spend the day as a day spent in those lovely green scenes and painting them. Everyone's painting is great which shows how gifted they are. Your line and wash painting is super! Many thanks for it and also for teaching about how to draw round columns. Thank you for the lesson. Always know you're an awesome teacher and remember to please don't change the way you introduce yourself. We like it just the way it is.
Thanks, that a great tutorial, I look forward to trying to paint it! Also love seeing the scenery. The drawing trips are appreciated too, and keep your friendly intro!
Wow Paul that was beautiful Thank you! On Tuesday I painted from the photo you had from your plein air day at the castle and on Wednesday when I looked to see what you were painting well it was the same one. Mine doesn't look like a castle but I can't wait to paint with your tutorial. Thanks for the history of it. I still love your introduction but even if you just said good morning all it would be just fine with me. Just keep the different shirts and your beverage or ice cream half time breaks.
such a wonderful place, absolutely no wrong views! I like your introduction. To those that are tired of it, that's what the fast forward button is for! I am always curious as to what you do with all your tee shirts, lol
I love your programs -- it is like a breath of fresh air and when you have videos to boot, it is wonderful. I live so far away - i Texas, USA -- where we certainly have no castles! And it is really hot! So it is a great boon to watch and enjoy. Love your tutorials -- I hope you keep doing them!
Another brilliant demo Paul. I really look forward to your (bi)weekly demos :-) - and your intro is like your signature imo. Your videos are a source of inspiration to me - not to mention what I learn. For that, my thanks!
Please, please, please don't change your treating. So upbeat, always puts a smile on my face. I live in South America so it truly can be morning, afternoon or evening. You truly have a global classroom.
From beginning to end, this was pure eye candy for not only the eyes, but the ears as well. Pure bliss..... I am so thankful for having found your site. Please continue to be exactly who you are. You surely teach and give great joy to this little old lady in New Hampshire as she aspires to create the lovely paintings that you inspire in me. Thank you for being you.
Brilliant as always Paul, i will certainly be giving this one a go. As for your introduction , I think its fine. They will be complaining about the T shirts next. Don't change a thing and thanks again for being a great inspiration.
Don’t change your introduction! It’s you! It’s like a catch phrase and is very positive. I find myself saying it in my head when I say good morning to someone.

I find myself repeating the same phrase to my friends world wide. Lol

What a lovely comment thanks so much 😊
It’s such a beautiful and wonderful video!
PS: please please don’t change your intro that depicts ‘you’ . Everyone in my house knows you for all your styles.
I wondered the same thing. Had to be a relative critic. 🤣
I really appreciated the way you introduced the colours being used in today's lesson. Thank you.
Absolutely fabulous Paul and Scotney Castle looks beautiful. Love everything about your intros, so please don't change, it's what make you so special. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Don't change a thing! I love the introduction: it is like a greeting from an old friend, and it never gets old! I always feel welcome!
Sometimes Paul when I am lonely since I moved i will turn on one of your videos just to hear a familiar welcoming voice. I love your intro and all you do. Thank you
Beautiful to see how you work so effortlessly! Thanks!
In a world already so full of change, it’s lovely hearing your familiar intro. I like it and always look forward to your tutorials. Thanks so much for sharing your time and knowledge.
Really beautiful and relaxing! Definitely gonna give it a try!
I love your intros! Please don’t change them!!
Your intro is awesome. Have never grown tired of it. Please don't change it. It's your signature!
Also, love this tutorial. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent.
Thank you! Will do!
Paul - don't change your introduction - I love it! :)
Wonderful! - thanks for the comment!
Hi Paul. Your intro is your “brand”.
It’s perfect. You are our coffee, ale, and chocolates of the day. Never change.
Thanks 👍
Don't change a thing!....I love your introduction, your humor, the music, your plein air trips that make me feel I travel with you and of course, your beautiful paintings and your easy to follow instructions. Your generosity in doing these You Tube tutorials and providing line drawings are amazing! Thank you
Thanks so much!
Keep your catch phrase. It makes me smile and sets me up for a wonderful Watercolour Wednesday.
such a wonderful place, absolutely no wrong views!
I love your introductions. Don't change it. I enjoyed this tutorial and look forward to painting it. Really, I enjoy all your tutorials.
Brilliant as always Paul, i will certainly be giving this one a go. As for your introduction , I think its fine. They will be complaining about the T shirts next. Don't change a thing and thanks again for being a great inspiration.
I love your introduction as I watch you in America (about 8 hours after you post). Thank you for greeting the world so warmly!!
Wow, thank you!
