I think Spicy in true essence is something like Pepper which give you a tinge of taste in your tongue but not necessarily hot.

Originally Indonesians do not use chopsticks in our eating culture. We rather use our clean bare right hand ( always use right hand for eating, shakes hands, gift money etc, cos the left hand is for cleaning your bump & genitals while defecation & urination). We also use fork (in left hand for support & push the food come inside the spoon) & spoon ( in right hand for scooping the foods). This is the most convenient way . Especially when eating the rice, noodles, beehoon, nasi goreng, gado gado, any kind of soup & wet food. Never eat separately between the rice, side dish, sambal / condiments, always mix it together. The art of eating & enjoying Indonesian culinary is when we eat all the dishes by mixing together in pne scoop. The taste will be balance .

As an Indonesian I wouldn't be able to eat a box of martabak myself, too. I usually eat it together with family since it's almost like a cake because of the amount of butter in it.
your sweet martabak is so expensive, usually the price for the sweet martabak is around 30-50k rupiah, and for the egg martabak is around 45-80k rupiah (depend on the kind of egg and the quantity), so for 110k rupiah usually you already got 1 box of sweet martabak and 1 box of egg martabak

I know butter is kinda expensive in Indonesia but Good Lord it's not that much of a gap to pump that price until nearly 2x margarine one. Maybe they charged you special one with lots of topping variations price for a single topping.😅

U should try the martabak with chocolate, peanut, and cheese, roasted sesame seed (optional) if u just choose chocolate it might be a little bit boring and easy to get sick of it

Cheese in Indonesia are more sweet cheese. Different from Europe Cheese.. so that's why we mix with chocolate as a martabak toppings
