If you ever plan go to bandung from Jakarta, I recommend to take the high speed train from halim station to padalarang station and changed train from padalarang to bandung, it's only take an hour compared to regular train taking over 3 hours. Have fun in Indonesia
Just wanted to say you guys are so good at this, genuinely down to earth not pretentious like some YT bloggers and super informative. Also… Looking forward to this one, Indonesian is very high on my list to visit.
Same here! Had a great time in my recent trip there which I also shared in my channel. Would love to come back for more bizarre and local food in Indonesia. 🇮🇩
Jakarta looks great, we can't wait to visit next month! Pandan is like our favourite taste since being is SEA, we're imaging it in coffee now 🤤 love the vlog guys ❤
I bet you're gonna have a great time in Jakarta! Pandan in coffee sounds interesting - never tried that, but I liked the charcoal coffee called Kopi Joss in Indonesia. Definitely recommend those! Enjoy your trip! 🇮🇩
@@InvestedAdventure Ohh nice, thanks for the heads up on Kopi Joss! We've spent a fair amount of time in Malaysia, so wonder whether we've had something similar! We can't wait! 😄
I applaud people who dare to take the decision to leave work to start a new life by traveling around the world, because I was so afraid to do something like that that I had to spend my time in the work room without realizing that the world is wide and beautiful.
It actually took me a while to get the courage to travel full-time, until I decided to quit the rat race for this, to travel. And it was such an amazing journey so far. Every country I've been to made me realize that it was worth it. There's so much to see and hopefully you can find the courage too if this is truly what you desire. 🇮🇩
Welcome to Jakarta❤ Using e-money for all your needs (like transportation, shopping & other things) is a better way and save your money. One card only, you can use it when you ride city-bus, commuter, MRT, LRT, public transport (JakLingko) etc. You will save your money. Don't let anybody let you buy a new card for each moda-transportation. Because one newcard's price is 50.000 rupiahs which is the price of the card is 25.000 rupiahs and the account is 25.000 rupiahs only. You will lost 25 thousands rupiahs when you don't use the card anymore. Take care your stuff, watch out the price, be careful. A lot of good people here, but some not. Be aware and ask first how much money you have to pay for every transaction. Not letting them easily do their job. Make it sure, first. Enjoy your trip👍 Have a nice travelling❤
In 1961 Indonesia goverment set this city become spesial/specific area call DKI JAKARTA meaning Spesial Region Capital City Of Indonesia and rule by Governor, source Government rules PP number 2 year 1961
Hey mate welcome to Indonesia, i have been watching many youtuber that comes to Indonesia but you guys are the first one i saw who are riding and having a footage of the BRT (Bus Rapid Transport) which is awesome.
That's my hometown! I love it!!! I left Jakarta in 1997 & even though I live in the US now, I try to come back every couple years since my mom & 2 of my siblings still live there. I'm glad you got a chance to see it the way it is now because it wasn't too good when I left in '97. Although, I now can't stand the heat. I'm already used to cooler weather here in America. I was salivating watching you eating that es campur. Yum... 😋 Also, the "c" in campur is pronounced as "ch" as in "change". Glad you enjoy your time there!!!
The thing is, don't go around cities in Indonesia on Monday cause that's the closing day of all the state managed attractions (museums, monuments, etc). The public card is actually an e-money card, so there's no expiration date. You can use that for parking payment, toll road payment, and even buying things in convenience stores. Just see which bank it's issued, if it's Bank DKI that's Jakarta development bank so you can't really use it outside of jakarta. Preferably buy BCA or BRI or Mandiri issued card, cause that's the easiest to top up and accepted more often in convenience stores and parking machines (they don't always accept all cards). And yes you can even use them in Bali with toll roads and what not.
Cafe Batavia is the oldest cafe in Jakarta and the food prices there are also quite expensive. If you want to visit the Istiqlal mosque, in my opinion the right time is in the morning around 9 o'clock. Jakarta and Bangkok in my opinion are hotter than Bangkok but everyone has their own opinion, now Indonesia is entering the dry season so the weather is currently quite hot
I love Indonesia, one of the best and safest countries. Not a big fan of Jakarta, particularly i was around Sudirman Jaya as my office was there. Very clean as well.Teremakasih

I've recently went to Jakarta over 2 weeks ago for my 3rd visit after going to Lombok for the 2nd time. I will say, as a Muslim from England myself, that whenever you go to the mosques, it is always better to go in the mornings before midday as there are no prayers during this time. Many big masjids around the world do a lot of tours in the mornings. The cathedral is right opposite the mosque. I went to mainly SCBD, Bundaran Hl, Monas, Masjid Istiqlal and Cathedral when I was there over 2 weeks.

The number of Indonesian culinary delights is countless. There are more than 5,300 typical foods recorded from 38 provinces in Indonesia. Not including various typical Indonesian snacks, such as klepon, putu cake, onde-onde, bika ambon, lemper, martabak, lumpia, etc. which you should try.
I am in Jakarta right now and we haven been in filty backstreets. We rode the tuc tucs and they are a dead cheap to go round town. I want to visit the Glodok is China town. Also 1000 islands😅

The TransJakarta card (or any e-money like Flazz, Mandiri e-money) you can go to any stops only for Rp 3.500,- but as long as you are not tapping out. So if you go from point A to point C and you need to transit on point B, no matter how many stops as long as you are not tapping out while transitting, you are only be charged at Rp 3.500.
You must try Local food in Warung,, because very chip,,beterthan Restauran,, Try Sate,,soto betawi,,Nasi goreng,,mie goreng,,gado",,And Desert Cake very Delicious MARTABAK MANIS,,,
Although Jakarta is not a tourist city, I think the new capital of Indonesia or what is called "IKN" will be visited by many tourists from abroad because it is very interesting how a big city can unite with nature and will become a very modern city in the future.
Welcome to Jakarta. Not compulsory however it's not really a shorts and flip-flops kind of city. People will be tolerant however it does make life a little harder for those of us who live here. It's always entertaining to see Jakarta through tourists eyes. It's been my home since 1993. If you'd come here back in the 90's you wouldn't be able to get anywhere 😅 . Anyway have fun in my hometown.
👍😊 14:51 es jeruk (orange juice), pronounce: 'es je rook' instead of 'es je rug'. 15:55 es campur (mix ice refreshments), pronounce: 'es chump poor' instead of 'es camp pour'. Happy traveling, hope you can make it hopping through all the islands.. you will be amazed of how divers the Indonesian cultures is, ethnicity, traditional houses, outfit, languages, musics, dances, and ofcourse foods. Last but not least the nature... Indonesia has all. Safe trip and enjoy!

What's a trip without getting lost sometimes, right? 🤣 That National Monument sure looks worth the climb for the view, especially at sunset. Can't wait to try some more local food when I come back! 🇮🇩

Although Jakarta is not a tourist city, I think the new capital of Indonesia or what is called "IKN" will be visited by many tourists from abroad because it is very interesting how a big city can unite with nature and will become a very modern city in the future.
Yes it will be very interesting to see when it is done ☺️

Selamat datang di Indonesia
Thank you ☺️❤️
Welcome to Jakarta.
Haha thank you!
👍😊
