Nice reaction, I was at this show (sitting somewhere in the middle of the platform to the left from this view of the stage)
Just before this clip, Joakim said no one carries around a lighter anymore but, you all have phones, right? So turn on your lights for this one. After that he would say totally wonderful my, friends, Let's sing together en livstid i krig (a lifetime of war) but that was before your video started.
The album Carolus Rex that they had released during this time is about a part if Swedish history referred to as the era of great power (stormaktstiden in Swedish) from a time when Sweden was a much bigger nation with ambitions of expanding.
The album was released with 2 versions, one in Swedish and 1 in English. The difference being that the Swedish one tells the story from our view/a Swedish soldier's while the English one is more from an outsider's view.
They had sold out the arena so we were around 10 766 metalheads in the arena that night (going by facts online and in the newspaper after the show)

with forgotten soldiers that noone mourn, they also mean that after 2 generations noone remembers other than on the gravestones. and since most soldiers die when they are young, they often dont have a wife and children, so even fever remembers them after 50-100 years

I like the reaction to my favorite band and historyteller
This video is so strong for the band at home in Sweden.
"En livstid i krig" "A lifetime at war" with that strong message that is still relevant even though it is a war in the 17th century.
I wish I was there, but then I was on holiday in Thailand

As you are in Belgium Race to the sea music video is the next you should react to. It is about first world war and the Belgian king ordered to flood the land to stop the germans

I love your reactions of Sabaton. I do not know if you have reacted to Sabaton's Resist and Bite. 40 Belgian soldiers at the border fighting for 13 days (I think) against the Germans during the Blitkrieg.

Thank you for your reaction. This was a long time ago and the leader, the king Gustavus Adolphus participated with his men on the battlefield. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustavus_Adolphus

A lifetime in war is about when Sweden was involved in the 30-year war, but Sweden was involved in other wars at the time. Today, Sweden does not wage war, but Sweden goes abroad to protect and help the people who cannot protect themselves and small soldiers, if we can do it then you must protect them from the bad guys. As then today we saw the offensive war Russia is waging against Ukraine precisely because of the crazy Putin, so we Swedes can help with war materiel and train the Ukrainian soldiers in modern Western warfare. So this song can also be about how Ukrainian soldiers go to war to defend their homeland and their freedom from Russia. Many of these Ukrainian soldiers never come home and are never remembered. BUT the song can also be about all the soldiers from different countries who went to Afghanistan who are partly far from home and who never came home and no one will remember these soldiers who died there to protect the population and the world from madmen and terrorists.
