- Microsoft have ALL DLC from the store for Forza Horizon 4, with the base game itself being delisted in December.
How does this effect us, as gamers, and what can change moving forward?

Them removing the DLC as of June 25th sucks because there's literally no way to get the hot wheels and the treasure chest even if you buy the ultimate edition.
Wait so what do you get if you but the ultimate edition after the dlc delisting
Sometimes i wished we got an option to "print" our digital copy onto physical with latest patch & all, on demand.
Best idea I've heard for ages! And totally feasible.
Hi, a sizable portion of people who bought the DLC including the Ultimate Edition, have had their access to the content revoked since the game has been de-listed, including myself who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition for $120 back in the day, and played the living daylights out of it.
PG promised a fix for this, but it's been almost 3 weeks and nothing has changed, a lot of people in the forum thread they keep referring people to are getting agitated.
This needs more eyeballs!!
So sad now 😭😭😭😭😭😭 im going to miss the festival playlist so far
Wether it's gaming news , reviewing new games ,racing around a track , or falling over on snowrunner this is the best gaming channel on any platform to be fair 👍 so thanks again Jason for the great content .
Thank you mate, I appreciate that.
Untill the cheeky comment which gets repetative
@@redhot2522 Which ironically i didn't say in this video..
Well, good thing or silver lining for this is: Now you can buy the Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition for 19,99 when it normally would be 99,99€.
Naturally at some point you can play it only for singleplayer game but if you buy it only for singleplayer anyway.. there is not much harm I guess?
But sure, I have a feeling that person who have saved money and bought this game let's say a month ago and did pay full 99,99€ price is bummed. No matter if they bought DLC's or not top of it...
This is expecting in a racing game that uses "real cars", specially when there are over 700 of them, and yes, the game being delisted is bad, but I wish that every was delisted this way. The consumer has nothing to lose, which is why FH4 is having its all time peak for concurrent players, with like 3 times the amount of players Horizon 5 gets.
We are not going to lose access to the multiplayer any time soon, same as with Forza Horizon 3, and the game is having insanely good discounts. The only bad part is that the festival playlist are leaving us. Actually that's pretty huge, but at least they are working on an alternative. I'll try to experience them for the time left. So far I'm having a great time with them.
Forza Horizon 1-3 have been totally delisted because of expired licenses.
I can’t see the problem, I haven’t played horizon 4 since 5 came out. The licensing thing has always been there and delisting doesn’t mean you can’t play them anymore.
I hate how games get delisted and you also cant buy physical copies...
Ive been wanting daytona USA but it was delisted a couple of years back and they never made a physical xbox copy 😢
Same. I would love to play some Daytona USA
Shame. Last time I played FH4 online in January 2024, it still has many players for festival. The game died just like that, because the license was over.
I have been an Xbox guy from Day 1. My whole family enjoys GamePass... but this is the junk that I hate! I told my wife, all of my discs that I play on my SeriesX, say "Xbox One" on the box! 😢 I hardly realized that I have been "All Digital " this entire console generation. I want the Box set on my shelf, so they can't keep jerking me around on what games I can or cannot play.
I've not received a ticket to download the standard version and i fulfill all of their requirements to get one. It seems only some people get it
Maybe you already own it? Did you perhaps already buy it in the past?
@@GametechUK I did own the disc version until I got onto Gamepass then I sold that hard copy, 8 owned Motorsport 7 but I still got a code when they delisted it
100% agree instead they should tell you how long the licence is for so you know but another game on its way out and forza 4 was amazing game aswell
Companies obviously can't be forced to keep servers running and support their games forever, but I'd love to see some more leniency when it comes to abandonware. I understand that it wouldn't work to force developers to give out their old games for free as abandonware, but there could be a good opportunity to rebuild some trust with gamers who want to play old games they never got the chance to buy.
Microsoft usually do. Forza Horizon 3 works, and you can play multiplayer mode if you want. Same thing will happen with Horizon 4.
It's just that the amount of money they would have to spend now would be huge. We are talking about a game with over 700 cars.
interesting... I was wondering why some of my stuff disappeared from my rocket league account... now it makes sense... BOOOOO!!
I'm now glad Alaskan Road Truckers doesn't use the big branded trucks!
Uuh... that shouldn't happen. It did?
When i heard that the game is getting delisted,i immediately hopped on Steam and bought the Ultimate edition,so that i can have all the content, and also to thank the game for all the beautiful 40 hours that i spent in it
You don't actually get all the content. The ultimate edition doesn't have the hot wheels and the treasure chest.
This is while I hate Live Service. Give me single player offline all the way! 👍
They are giving everyone 6 months notice of expiry for the DLC bundles (from a 6 year old game btw) before they remove it from the store. Props to Microsoft for offering a free copy of the game to dlc buyers tho, that's excellent! Personally, I don't see the issue here!?
Not so much a huge problem as far as this particular game is concerned, but as part of a wider picture it's another nail in the coffin for game preservation and gaming history.
@@GametechUKWhen it comes down to game preservation, everything is "okay". The game will still work for everyone who bought it. The pirated version has access to online mode too. Any copies will still work. This just isn't the same kind of issue a game like The Crew had.
And we can understand Microsoft on this one. Keep in mind this game has over 700 cars. The amount of money they would have to pay would be insane, and sometimes there is more than just money involved. This is why Rockstar uses fake brands for their cars.
hiya, its you :)
Hey Jade, lovely to hear from you. I hope you are well.
I've been playing it recently and its a real shame to hear this
Was a great game, with a more interesting map than 5 in my opinion, lots more twisties!
The seasons work far better in 4 due to it been set in the UK.
Still think 1 and 3 are the better two though
forza horizon 4 is dirt cheap on steam right now
