I'm considering doing the same engine swap and was so happy to find your video, can you give me some advice on what to expect? I'd love to talk about it..
you need the whole intake air box housing?? what happened to the timing cover??? what b-pipe are you using, aka y-pipe. the engine bay must get a bit hot without header heat shield. awesome car btw. my brother had a 95 camry with a 5sfe 5 speed it had some pull.
Justin Towers the intake is the lid it's flipped over a filter is normally in there we have some clips that hold it on. so its basically an open face filter. heatbisnt really an issue becaus e the engine bay is so wide open there is alot of air movement. The car also has a dual core aluminum rad with 2 big electric fans. It gets hot under the hood in traffic and it warms up fast but no overheating issues. The car isn't a daily driver so it's no big deal. b pipe is the stock one but we cut it and modified it to clear the subframe.
Justin Towers also we had to massage the sub frame a bit and also chop off the original motor mount that was welded to tje subframe. Also had to massage the sub frame to clear the sump
...I'm wontering if the dogbone (antiroll) mount bracket from the 5sfe with bolt to the BEAMS so you can use the passenger side camry off the strut tower that you aren't using.
Great work! I just finished up my beams swap in my 86 Celica
..Somebody actually did this swap and this year to boot. Fantastic. Subscribed.
DreamGTS the engine is back out right now. The rear mount broke from wheel hopping so it's getting ver.2 custom rear mount
..always something! rats! Staying tuned...
