I enjoyed this mini-lesson with an amateur. Thumbs up to Dan for being on camera! It seems his quick fix would be to just set up with a slightly closed clubface, which is what I do with driver.
Dan sounds just like me! Talking about not being as aggressive on the course, trying to guide the ball rather than swinging fast, because I don't want to loose the stupid ball. My entire problem has always ALWAYS been an open club face at impact, had years of lessons with different people, NOTHING has worked!
If you look at Dan's feet, it looks like they are aligned slightly to the left. Do you think if he drops back his right foot a touch, he can turn that fade into a draw?
After the first two swings it was clear that dan is holding on to the wrist hinge and bringing it back through without firing into the ball , why not just explain that to him ? I dont get it sometimes . Tightening his grip may have made the ball fly straighter but only makes the release less likely as the trail hand goes underclub rather than behind club , surely ?
Wow !! I'm the second comment on an "Ali" video. Do I win anything:) Good lesson ( they all are, thanks ) and I'm likely going to get the Straight Stick. It's science and analytics like this that are really helping the plus 14 handicap golfers. Thanks Ali

The problem with the set up like you say is when he releases properly he would miss way left. He just needs to get the feel more often.

His ball position should go a little back as well.
Video on best ways you get the body moving in the right way to hit the ball from the inside… feels and drills
Please 😂
What is Dan doing exactly (with his normal club) to close the face? Is it twisting the handle, rolling forearm, or body rotation?
would like a vid with this for casting/early release
Ali, how did you get the straight stick as the suppliers say it’s only available in the USA?
I think UK will be soon, I’ll try and get a date for you.
Apparently 3 months for UK, drop me an email at info@alitaylorgolf.com and I'll let you know when it's available.
